I would not recommend these estate agents to anyone- they were extremely racist, discriminatory and rude and accused myself and my partner of being "dodgy" because we had to take a faith based mortgage. They deliberately pronounce ethnic names wrong on purpose even after having been told multiple times how to pronounce the correct way. They are heavily focused on making money even if they have to throw buyers and sellers under the bus.

Enquired about a property that they haven't sold in months and arrogant male agent was laughing at me over the phone when I gave a very credible offer - in the £500,000 range for a house that cost only a few thousand more- he did not even bother passing on the offer to the seller, likely due to racism. Interestingly enough, his arrogance was laughable as I'd love to see if he could even dream of affording a house in that price range - probably a guy called Danny from what I can see here from previous reviews.

Disgusting people and terrible experience. Scam people for AML money when the actual check costs £15, they charge over £100 for it. Ended up buying a house with Chalk Street who are amazing and I highly recommend.

For anyone reading, do not be afraid to call them out on their blatant RACISM and DISCRIMINATION. Stand up for yourselves and don't let them take advantage of you.

They have the contract for block management here where I live (RM20), even though the owner of this property isn’t them they are trying to charge me £50 to reclaim my own personal items that are left outside my flat for hygiene reasons (shoes) so they want to charge me £50 per shoe and if I don’t pay they are threatening to dispose of my property. Not only is this illegal as handling of these goods must comply with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 and associated case law its heavy handed and they’re acting like thugs. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, they really aren’t worth the stress.

We had a pretty brutal sale, and after 9 months, Griffin's team, from sales to progression, were brilliant (special shout-out to Tracy and Roman). Pleased it's all over, but couldn't have done it without them!

Bad experience over 2 years — would not recommend this agency at all.

I had a very bad experience with this company for the past two years when my ex-husband was selling the house. They never listened to me, even when I sent them letters from my solicitor about the sale. They kept saying “we want to help you” — but I received no help at all.

Several times, their agents left the front door open and unlocked, and once they even locked my cat in a room when I was away — even though I had specifically asked them not to close the room doors. Very careless and unprofessional.

In the end, they were very polite to the buyer (who didn’t even have a mortgage approved at first and I wasn’t informed), while I told them that as a single mother I had nowhere else to go. Instead of helping or giving me time, they pressured me heavily to leave the house. I fought as much as I could, but they didn’t care that the buyer broke their promises — the agency only wanted to get their money quickly and push me and my child out onto the street.
This is honestly the worst company I have dealt with — unprofessional, no empathy, only after their profit. Would not recommend to anyone.

Terrible experience
We’ve been trying to buy a property in grays area Griffin agency cancelled viewing without letting us know even sending a confirmation email and text message for the viewing the same day we showed up to the property and nobody was there.
The front desk is rude and blaming us for their mistakes.
The annoying part is that they have majority of listings in that but dealing with them is draining.

Shame Robbie has left. My experience with Curtis and Debbie has been awful. I am on my own and have mental health issues, they bullied me from start to finish. Made appointments for viewings then cancelled. I understand once but not 3 times. I lost a dream property over their greed. Baby Reindeer ………..

If there’s a criticism it was the after sales team, who were useless.
However they have now gone and been replaced by someone who knows what their doing

Called to enquire about a property and was met with serious attitude and a list of really silly questions from what sounded like a really arrogant agent named Danny. I’ve spoken to around 12 agents, if not more and viewed a number of properties over the last 3 months and haven’t had a single issue, every single one has been polite, professional and extremely accommodating so was shocked when the person I spoke to appeared as though he didn’t want to offer me a viewing despite me telling him we are in a proceedable position with a cash buyer for our current property.

Polite note to the office manager here - when someone calls you who’s in a really good position to buy a property (esp one you’re struggling to sell) with a cash buyer and memorandum of sale, mortgage already in place ready to be ported and conveyancer on standby with a healthy budget you should ensure their questions are answered and not made to feel discriminated because their name is too ethnic for you to deal with.

You lost a sale because your agents don’t know how to deal with the public in a professional manner.

Worst greedy selfish landlord & services ever
Worst services, landlord & greedy management. Worst landlord & services ever. They increased my building maintenance charges, almost doubled, during severe coronavirus pandemic time 2years before without any reason when asked they said they will install fire alarm & repair the main entrance door. They didn’t do anything yet, even after 2 years passed away & asking to pay £2000 service charges every year. These people don’t care about the basic needs of the people living in their property. Asked for parking ticket but never get any of it. It was good 2-3years before but now becoming the most worst place full of Greedy, selfish & bully people!

What a hell is it now, walls are full of moulds & damps, there is insulation problems or structural problems are going on. All the pictures were send to the management department of Griffin. Thereafter they are asking to pay for the team they will send to examine the mould & damp on the walls. If the team send by them to whom we will pay decide it’s landlord’s problem only then they will do something, otherwise they don’t care. Why would their team going to care about us?
Water pipe line are rusty. Don’t have enough parking lanes. Sometimes mice jumped in but according to them they will send team to whom we’ve to pay to examine if mice are coming from outside or they are coming from sky? What kind of BoJo excuses they are making for not doing the required things.
After asking again & again, now Griffin is sending me property valuation emails again & again, who indirectly telling me to sell the property & get lost.
Government, MPs & other departments don’t care about common people’s issues, as I think everyone is getting their share properly for ignoring everything around.
Be careful about your decision, think before going with them. Literally it is moving towards the worst slowly?

Rude and stuck up. I've called numerous times enquiring about properties that "have for rent" everytime I was told I not allowed to rent because I'm disabled, wasn't allowed because " we don't have access" which is silly, no access no listing then eh? That'd make sense,
Never update their website or rightmove with what actually IS available. Very discriminatory toward me, now when I call they refuse to talk to me and I've been nothing but kind regardless of the rude behaviour I've recieved.
They continue to tell me they have nothing, but when my partner or mum ring asking the same as me they have loads of properties available.
Disgusting behaviour.
