GrowJoy is a Joy!

I have purchased from the GrowJoy site two times in the last 2 months and it's been a terrific experience both times. The first was two Jack Be Little mini pumpkin plants, which came to me still hydrated and well-secured in the shipping packaging. Since transplanting them, the plants have absolutely flourished and we have over a dozen little pumpkins that we're loving watching grow. The second purchase was 14 total mum plantlings that arrived in just as great of shape as the pumpkin plants. We transplanted them within a day of receiving them and they're taking root in an area of our outdoors that has been an eyesore due to the amount of direct sunlight it receives. I can't believe how much better it looks and how it's changed the whole appearance. We cannot wait for fall when the area is full of beautifully colored mums! Thank you so much for all of the joy these mini pumpkins and mums have brought to us - GrowJoy really is a joy!

Extremely Frustrated and Disappointed .....

The experience with this place is the worst I have had for a long time!
I bought 7 plants in June (order #579870), and it came in about a week later. I was so anxious to to open the box, and .. found that there was a grand total of just 1 plant! Check the packing slip, clearly stated all 7 plants included. Thinking optimistically, "maybe there there is another box following this?" two days later, nothing shows up.
This is where the frustration really started:
-- Try to call in like I would normally do in dealing with any decent business. Nowhere a number can be found from the email or business site! All it offered was to create a ticket.
-- SO I created a ticket ( #TAIWM100014597 ), an auto-reply showed up right away, and promises to get to it in 3 to 5 days. 1 week later, nothing happened!
-- Emailed back to GrowJoy, no reply
-- Started searching for that elusive phone number to talk to a real person. Found a number 888-907-4769 on the Growjoy Facebook page. Called, it was aSPAM number that try to sell me medical devices!

I can not believe this is how a business is done in this place!

Recommend people stay away!!!

and will try to get my money back ...

I should have learned my lesson…

I should have learned my lesson by the terrible service from last year but I thought maybe they had fixed their issues and I will give one last try and order a single plant this ‘22 season. The plant said to be shipped the week of June 12th on the website so I patiently waited until June 28th and sent an email following up on the order. The person who wrote back was not apologetic and gave a very short response saying they are just now starting to ship their preorders from fall ‘21 and basically I need to wait until it was my shipping turn. At the time it was almost July! You do not ship plants in late June and July! It’s setting up the customer to have stressed and dying plants. Once again I am trying to be patient waiting for my one plant to arrive and sent another ticket to follow up and still no response. My growing season is short, we at times get our first hard frost in September. This is ridiculous and on top of that they raised their prices for their plants and shipping and the service is terrible. It’s now mid July and I still do not have my plant. If it is not shipped by the start of next week, July 18th, I want a full refund. My order number is KDB3220024232 for a tropical milkweed which is an annual that I will have maybe two months to enjoy if it arrives next week.
Extremely disappointed.

This was my first time ordering plants…

This was my first time ordering plants from growjoy but it will not be my last. I needed to fill in some plants that were not doing well as the summer heat set in. They had the best selection of anyone I was looking at online for this time of year. And the plants made the journey to the west coast splendidly. I will be back.

I was shorted a plant in my order - update

I was shorted a plant in my order. I received a note explaining there was an issue with the absent plant and I was credited reward points and free shipping to replace this plant. I just spent the last hour trying to navigate their site to 1. get past their new security to get to my account, which was very confusing because I registered with one email, but they communicated with my payment email, and 2. implement the said "reward points". No reward points were issued equalling the cost of the absent plant, and the site had trouble recognising the free shipping code. I am beyond frustrated with this company.

Update - Joe was very courteous in his response to my dilemma. He offered to send out my choice of replacement plant that day, and did so. I received a lovely little plant with no further stress on my part. Thank you, Joe, for making this right.

Please help

Joe, I am looking for a ship date on my order before 7.8.2022 or I am requesting a full refund! The delay without any communication was unacceptable, even if it was a result of being short staffed.
Revision to original review: Joe was tremendous at working through my issue and addressed everything quickly! My plants are beautiful and healthy.

Undercover thieves

I purchased 3 Midnight Marvel Hardy Hibiscus plants for $56.85 on FEBRUARY 8th with an assigned shipment date of the week of June 12th. Today is June29th with NO PLANTS! They have had my money for 4 months!! I completed a form to inquire about where they were, but to-date have not received a response. Grow Joy has very poor communication abilities. If I wasn't to receive my plants on time, I should have received a phone call, or an email. Now it is almost July,and I ordered in February, and still no plants!!!

The plants are flourishing! Healthy and well packaged!

I ordered 2 types of coleus, finger paint and defiance, a white million bell plant, two red mandevilla, and a blue spruce sedum. They came very well packaged and in excellent health. They seemed a bit small at first, but once established in a pot, everything took off! (Except the sedum which hasn’t arrived yet). I’m very pleased and would definitely order from this company again!

Miserable customer service!!

Well, I'm sorry I didn't read these reviews before placing my order! Today is June 22 and I placed an order with them on June 16th. The order hasn't even been shipped yet!! What kind of company is this anyway??? I live in the Northeast and have a small growing window. Any reputable company would take that into consideration and SHIP the plants ASAP once they are paid!!!

Your pepper plants were ordered last Thursday and we do not ship to New York over the weekend as it was too hot, so they shipped yesterday (Wednesday) and you should have them Friday. Unreachable People

I ordered 3 plants from Grow Joy. The first was to have arrived in a certain week in May, and it did. I was pleased with the healthy plant I received. The other 2 plants were to have been received the 2nd week in June. I have not received them, and I can't get through to customer service. I have emailed them, wrote one of their tickets, and I've been calling a number that has been changed, or disconnected. What in the world!? I placed the order on 4-11-22, and the order number is, 562233. I'm waiting on 2 Pinker Pugster Butterfly Bushes. Please send me my plants, or refund my money!

Just Not Great

I found trying to communicate with this company after my order was placed to be very frustrating. When my plants did not arrive during the original promised timeline and the only acknowledgement to my customer concern was to create a ticket, I wrote a bad review. After that 3 of my 4 plants did arrive in good condition. Their response to my bad review was to blame the problem with customer service on staffing shortage. They did give me a refund for the plant that was not shipped. Plants were ordered March 10 and arrived June 26. If I had known when shopping this company that plants would not arrive until summer and one would not be in stock I would not have placed my order.

So love GrowJoy

Up until this year, I was buying my plants from several different online places. Was becoming increasingly frustrated with the quality of plants I was receiving. Came across GrowJoy and decided to give them a try. I was transported to a whole new world of beautiful, healthy and actually blooming plants, I was thrilled with everything, so, I ordered more and more. You can tell, just by looking at the plants, GrowJoy, cares very much about their plants, just like we do. They are so careful about their packaging, not one stem or bloom was broken. Also, if their crop was not up to expectations and cannot ship your plant, they let you know and you get points towards your future orders, who does that??? GrowJoy is so aptly named. They do bring joy to all who grows. Thank you for caring.

Company is unresponsive

I have spent a fortune with this company and Grow Joy has yet to ship my plants. I have submitted 3 tickets for Orders 565852, 568218, 572943 and have yet to receive one reply! I am very concerned that this may be a scam as there is no phone number to call to speak with customer service. I will most likely never buy from them again.

All of your remaining orders have plants that ship between 6/12 and 6/27. Apparently I can’t attach add’l emails. Joe stated they closed a location and had to combine operations. They got behind. Are hoping to ship perennials NEXT season with the annuals.Plants rec’d 6/24

I have the same issues as others. Past years have been great, but where are this year’s plants? Our planting time is well past. My last email to them was not answered. Orders say shipping June 12-28. These dates are ludicrous. Order #s 519149, 514685, 575715
