No show and excuses
Paid for mobile windscreen repair £40 on Saturday, booking for Monday. Called me Monday morning to say they can’t make it today and to reschedule to Tuesday. Called Tuesday morning and said they had no resin left and we’ll call you when we can come out. No call, now Saturday, called call centre and got a refund (3-5 working days!) but no apology. Very poor. Got no resin? Like a coffee shop with no coffee??

Had a replacement front offside bulb fitted yesterday. Very short wait and job done well. Benefitted from the free car check and this revealed one rear number plate bulb not working. Replacement fitted.
From start to finish everything was superb. Friendly, courteous, professional and helpful. One couldn't ask for better customer service. Well done.

Ik heb mijn bestelling geplaatst via de webshop.
kreeg geen melding dat er en wanneer er geleverd werd maar goed op de webshop stond 2 dagen. Ik heb zeld na 3 dagen contact opgenomen met de klantenservice waar werd aangegeven dat zie niks konden doen maar dat deze bestelling vanuit Eindhoven geleverd zou gaan worden en dat de vestiging mij wel zou contacten. 4 dag Weer naar de klanten service gereageerd en ik mocht wel zelf contact opnemen met de vesting ( een echte klantenservice dus...) Dag 4 neem ik contact op met de klanten service.. nee meneer die order heb ik niet gezien duuuuh na 10 minuten zoeken hadden ze deze dus toch ontvangen maar natuurlijk ergens onder op de stapel gekomen. De meneer aan de telefoon zou gaan kijken wanneer deze geleverd wou kunnen worden uiteindelijk ein van de week ( dit is inmiddels al 9 dagen na bestelling). Had tenslotte ook maar 35 euro betaald voor de snelle levering !!!! Vanaf dat moment niks meer gehoord en verwachte mijn fiets die vrijdag ....helaas niet ontvangen zelf maar weer gebeld want van de klantenservice hoor je niks... de meneer gaf aan ja hij staat hier nog maar we gaan hem nu echt vandaag versturen en ik bel de vervoerder dan koimt hij nog vandaag aan??? of morgen???? ( ik dacht aaah daar heb ik dus die 35 euro voor betaald) maar helaas uiteindelijk is de fiets pas 11-9 geleverd. Heb er geen worden voor heb mijn beklag ook per mail aan de klanten service gestuurd .... je raad het wel geen reactie ... had wel wat compensatie verwacht voor deze slechte / belabberde service wat een schande zeg
Halfords didn't like my review!
Halfords asked me to review their on line Click and Collect service when I purchased a Ryobi grinder. Their stock control was poor, so, instead of being able to pick it up the same day (after getting confirmation that it was ready to collect!), I had to repeatedly contact their central office and wait nearly a week before they got one to my store. My reason for ordering from them was that it was stated as being in stock! They did eventually deliver for collection, the grinder was exactly as they described and the only problem was the six days delay. Their staff in the various departments contacted by me at all times were personally helpful, informative, friendly and polite. I commented on the delay, the good quality of the product (and the good staff!) In my review.
Their eventual response was to moderate my review and state it could not be published. The only downside in it was that they messed up stock control - which is entirely THEIR problem and which they need to jmprove.
I have purchased from Halfords, encouraged my family to use them and have trusted them, for decades. What they have now done is to shatter that trust. I will always remember that they stifled my sincere comments and, although I will probably use them again, I will never forget and it will never be the same. They just aren't honest about their customer's opinions.

Poorly built new bike resulted in poor gear changes and chain jumping off when going over a bump. Rear wheel also not true.
Taken to back to branch and asked for a stand to be fitted too.
Told ready. Arrived and had to wait 30 min to be seen to get bike back, with two kids in tow!
Got back, no bike stand, they tried to fit the ‘universal one’ which I suggested at the time would foul on gear cable. Poor mechanical comprehension led me to handing the mechanic the correct tools as he was struggling. Apparently he’d never fitted as stand before. Next mechanic came to help, he agreed the cable would foul and also found wheel not true and gears not properly aligned still.
Left after an hour without the bike.
5 days later went to collect. Stand fitted, fouls cable, then get told that they’d told me this would happen!
You’d think Halfords bike mechanics would know how to fit a stand, and that Halfords would have a stand to fit a Halfords bike!
Left with a bike but no stand. Now to check if they’ve actually fixed the gears or if I should have not bothered with them and just done it myself!
Some mechanics clearly didn’t understand that a tight bolt can’t be undone with a screwdriver, when instead the hex on the outside should be used, so maybe the fundamentals of hand skills needs covering.

Wat een waardeloze klantenservice en verzend service! Ik bestelde inmiddels 1.5 week geleden een product wat op voorraad was, en waarbij stond voor zo laat besteld is de volgende dag in huis. Ik bestelde het product op dinsdag vóór 10u, en nooit meer iets gehoord! Gewoon netjes met iDeal betaald, nog een paar keer contact op willen nemen, kan alleen maar per mail en gewoon nooit een reactie terug! Heb na een week 2x gemaild dat ik mijn geld terug wil en het nu bij een ander heb gekocht, maar alsnog geen reactie, WAARDELOOS

hopless for ebike repair
I recently had a terrible experience with Halfords Halifax for my ebike repair, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. I brought my ebike in for repair and investigation as it was showing an error on the display and what followed was an excruciating ordeal.
Firstly, the repair took over two weeks, which was already frustrating as I rely on my ebike for daily commuting. When I finally received it back, I was told they didn't have the spare parts, which made me wonder why they took so long to figure that out in the first place.
The most concerning part of the whole experience was the apparent lack of knowledge and interest from the technician assigned to my repair. I called instore several times to see how things were progressing and was fobbed off each visit. It was even more infuriating to find out the technician went home at lunch time which was ridiculous for a big store like Halfords. It was evident that they had very little understanding of ebikes and didn't seem invested in resolving the issue properly. In the end, I ended up having to repair the bike myself, discovering a simple broken wire on the ECU, something that should have been detected and fixed during the initial inspection.
It's disappointing to see a reputable company like Halfords fail so miserably in providing adequate repair services. I expected better, especially when it comes to specialized vehicles like ebikes.
I hope this review serves as a warning to others considering using Halfords Halifax for ebike repairs. I strongly advise seeking alternative options with shops that prioritize customer satisfaction and have knowledgeable technicians.
Please be aware of the potential frustration and wasted time if you decide to trust them with your valuable e-bike.

Took my bike in on Wednesday for an annual service which I pay for.
Today I have been told it will not be ready until Sunday?

Had a new battery fitted at the Weston-super-mare branch , by the assistant manage. I stood and watch him fit , and noticed it wasn’t lavel, which I pointed out to Gareth . To which he ignored. I Drove down the road and onto the M5 , it was pouring with rain , my car started vibrating violently, and smelt hot. I slowly pulled off the motorway at Clevedon. Lucky found a garage Heither Green, who looked under the bonnet only to find the battery wasn’t attached to the casing. They fitted it immediately.
I connected Halfords , the online chat , said they would contact me with 4 working hours. That was 2 days ago. So I paid them to fit it then paid to have it fixed, by an a mechanic, and still no work from Halford who put me and my daughter in an extremely dangerous situation.
Bad service, then followed up with Bad customer service!!!

I ordered 4 tyres for £500. A booked them into be fitted 2 weeks in advance. I got 2 reminders, one by email and 1 by text reminding me to be there this morning.
I got there this morning.
The tyres had not been sent to the Halfords fitting station.
I was told I would have to wait 5 days for a refund.
My lesson

Absolutely appalling service at Team Valley by Layton. Bit of a wait in the queue - fair enough. But no apology and sorry for your wait. Fair enough - he’s a young lad and obviously didn’t think. No please, no Thankyou however - that’s common courtesy. I casually commented that a tip for the future was to use a please or Thankyou. He looked at me like an insolent teen and literally rolled his eyes at me! It was like being at home with moody teenagers once again. I casually asked if a manager was around so I could recommend some customer service training. Again, I got an eye roll and a huff and he replied with, “Yes- somewhere.” He then spoke in to his headset and said, “This woman is here wanting to speak to you - about my attitude.” Silence. Gave up waiting as no one came. I did speak to Lewis at the park-up section who apologised and said he understood why I was annoyed, as he’d be the same. Nice lad, but I really doubt anything will have been passed on to an actual manager. Shame on you Halfords - I won’t be in a hurry to return.
I am a very happy customer
I'm based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, and booked Halfords on the Drive because I had a totally flat tyre. I booked on Saturday evening and was able to get an appointment for Monday afternoon using the 'green option' of the repair vehicle already being in the area (which I liked). It was easy to book and, on the day, everything happened exactly as I was told it would. The technician was courteous and very helpful with his advice; the repair was effected swiftly and I was extremely happy with the cost.

I went in for wind screen fixing and was dealt with by very proffesionel staff they fixed a chip in window told me all they had to do. Also jack gave me good advice on buying a view cam. He gave good answers to my questions and made me feel easy about buying a view cam. Well done Halfords Cambridge. I felt you went above and beyond my expectations. Give that man a pay rise. Thank you
