Terrible decision to use these
Their prices aren’t exactly competitive. I would never normally go for a cheaper option as you expect the more expensive option to be better quality. In this case they aren’t.
£1700+ for:
A new hatch
100mm insulation top up
8x6 boarding with shelves
4 truss shelves
A smoke alarm)
I have since seen friends who have had their work done by this. Far bigger houses etc… yet some how I have paid 50% more for work on a smaller house.
I am pestered everyday about referring someone, which I wouldn’t for this poor excuse of work.
The hatch is not sat flush. You can run your fingers around it and some areas physically put your fingers into it
How it’s advertised as an energy saving hatch is also baffling. The polystyrene insert does not fit over the inside of the hatch ledges, so it doesn’t seal it with the hatch shut. Not to mention the poly was damaged and a piece of tape has just been thrown over it.
Pictures of their work on their website does not show the actual quality of the floor boarding they use. It looks and feels extremely cheap.
As for the smoke alarm. It just feels like it was advertised and quoted to me as a requirement now. Surely a heat alarm is best better in a loft that can be dusty. Not to mention the absolute fath of it the installation of that smoke alarm going off for nearly an hour before they had it connected correctly.
The hatch ladder is very weak metal. To say it’s 130kg limit, I don’t see how the rings should have slight bends in them already from 4 uses, 2 of them being from them installing it.
Really don’t recommend these, spatter finding out how much I’ve been overcharged for the work, as well as the quality of it being poor

Good initial visit, disappointing comparison process
Instaloft came round to quote for our loft boarding project. The surveyor was professional, friendly and helpful, and the survey itself was straightforward. He also recommended a slightly cheaper solution, which I appreciated.
However, I was disappointed with the follow-up. Instaloft told me they were the cheapest LoftZone installer in the UK, but I had received a genuinely competitive like-for-like quote from Amazing Lofts for the same type of raised boarding, the same quality of boards and the same hatch specification.
I felt the sales approach became a little inflexible once I explained I had found another reputable installer offering the same work for less. They also could not offer availability as quickly.
In the end, I chose Amazing Lofts, who completed the job to a very high standard at a competitive price.

This company was great from start to finish, we had the loft boarded and shelves also added, with a new loft hatch and ladder.
The fella that did the job was working on his own in extreme heat, he just got on with the job in hand, clean and tidy, I would definately recommend this company.

Instaloft Installation
Everything that was promised for installation was done correctly and on time. Instaloft kept in touch about progress. The installer arrived on time and took care not to make any unnecessary mess and made sure we were aware of his work and what we wanted him to do.
When we were recommended to look at Instaloft they responded quickly and the design individual listened to what we wanted and came up with a plan we found acceptable.

Brilliant job from start to finish
Gareth came to have a look and gave great advice - clear quote and follow up questions. Then on the day, Shabiah was the politest guy you can know. He got on with the job with no fuss at all. Amazingly clean and a brilliant job. Clearly showed us how to use the new hatch and couldn't recommend him more highly.
