We had a brilliant time. The property was clean and perfect for our needs. The swimming pool was lovely and warm, but a shower and a toilet on site would have been beneficial for the children.

A great weekend
I think this is the 4th house we have booked through you. What I really like is your Key Facts page which clearly sets out how the bedrooms are made up. For a family weekend it is so important not to go to a house where there are several rooms with three beds in!
I understand completely that there are certain standard letters you send out to hirers shortly before their arrival at the house is due.
I would suggest that instead of having just one letter - you have two standard letters. One which you send to groups of young people hiring a house, and another you send to families.
I found it rather insulting being sent a threatening email about if the beds weren't properly stripped money would be deducted from the Deposit.
I have been hiring holiday houses for about 40 years, and I have never had anything deducted from a deposit.
This was a big house, and it was reasonable to ask everyone to leave the sheets in the same place, however when I start reading all the instructions for housekeeping I sometimes wonder who is paying who.
The owners of these houses receive a very large fee for letting them out. Part of their expenses is to employ staff to clean up afterwards. No one should leave a disgusting mess, but I sometimes find the instructions a bit insulting.
Sometimes when you stay in a house, you get the feeling the owners have really gone the extra mile for you. With Lambourn house this is not really the case. Little tiny things, like saying there is tea and coffee for when you first arrive, actually this is useless if there is no milk. No salt and pepper is also a bit of a surprise ( although luckily we did bring our own)
Don't get me wrong, Lambourn House is a fabulous house to stay in, it is just a funny feeling that boundaries are very clear, nothing is free.

We had a fabulous weekend at Starhill Manor. The size of the property made it suitable for a large number of guests, and it catered for all age groups. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the peace and quiet was most welcome. The standard of accommodation exceeded my expectations. Every room was so well thought out, whatever you needed was there. Would not hesitate to recommend it, and can’t wait to visit again.

We were able to book the ideal property through Kate and Tom's and always found them helpful and responsive.
Four stars rather than five stars because there was an issue with our booking: the property said that not all the accommodation we wanted had been reserved and that this down to Kate and Tom's rather than their system. Fortunately the issue was discovered in time and resolved and we were able to go ahead as planned.

I had such a fantastic experience with Kate & Toms. From the very beginning, it was so easy to search for exactly what I was looking for, and once I’d decided, the whole process was completely seamless.
The team were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always on hand whenever I had a question or needed some help, which made organising everything so much easier.
I ended up having the most incredible 40th birthday and Kate & Toms played a big part in helping bring everything together. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough and would absolutely love to have another occasion to use them again in the future!
