I've been a property investor for many years and one of my challenges is finding a good solicitor. I've been using Blacks solicitors for a few years now and they never disappoint. Amy and Helen were VERY professional friendly and just got the job done. I loved their efficiency, it was always easy to contact them and they were always quick to respond (quite rare to find this). Amy was so helpful too, without hesitation she was available to walk me through some of the document on where to sign to avoid mistakes/delays and a pleasure to speak to. So just a big thank you for making my transaction so smooth and getting the job done. It was a pleasure working with you and this is why i keep coming back.

Had a refinance in a Ltd company and Blacks were on the lenders panel. Their initial quote was reasonable and throughout the process Carmen was so prompt at replying, it never took longer than a few hours which was great for me as it allowed the process to go through in a matter of weeks. My experience with Blacks Solicitors during a conveyancing/property purchase was extremely poor. They handled my case in the most robotic and passive way possible. For nearly six months, all I received were repetitive updates saying they were “chasing” the seller’s solicitors — but there was no initiative, no real communication, and no proactive legal advice.

Eventually, I discovered that the management company had been late in submitting essential fire safety documentation. This delay caused my mortgage offer to expire and the entire purchase to collapse. Instead of taking responsibility, Blacks tried to present this as them “saving me” from buying the property. That’s simply not true — their lack of diligence and failure to advise properly wasted my time, money, and effort.

Blacks Solicitors do not provide real guidance or client care. They operate in a generic, box-ticking manner with zero ownership or curiosity about the issues delaying your case. If you want proactive conveyancers who think ahead and genuinely protect your interests, look elsewhere. This firm completely mishandled my transaction from start to finish.
