Crap Aftersales Department
The dealings with this company are mixed installation and communication were spot on no problem the only problem I have is with the after sale service by the customer service department or lack of no communication from them despite repeated E Mails and phone calls to to said department still to this day the matter has not be resolved. This problem is on going from the 12/05/25 - 06/06/25 no end in sight.

The delay you’ve experienced was due to a supplier issue that was unfortunately out of our control. That said, we should have been clearer about that at the time of installation, and we apologise for the delay in communication since.
We understand you have been given a fitting date, and we appreciate your patience in the meantime.
Poor quality shed / garage for my mums…
Poor quality shed / garage for my mums new park home. Mum paid thousands of pounds for a new shed that had to be in the style of others on her new park home site in Stretton. Unfortunately some panels arrived damaged, which can happen and they said they would be back to sort it. We have not heard from them since, except one text message saying panels are ordered, with no dates, no apologies, no phone calls. My parents are in there late 70’s early 80’s and have spent £6k on a non sealed, poor quality shed. Our main contact who did the cement has tried to help the best he can after numerous contact from me to get this resolved and still no one contacts me from Lidget. It’s shameful, poor customer service and I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone as you have to pay all upfront before the job is complete, and mum needed the extra storage with downsizing from an already very stressful move. I’m so disappointed and now having to spend my time yet again trying to resolve it to take this added stress away from my parents. Someone should come out and look at the state of it for themselves and sort this mess out. Other people have already made comments on it. This could have all been resolved by a phone call and visit, and some old fashioned communication!
Thank you for the reply, however, I only got the date of 17th June because I contacted you again, and with your point on the base included as part of the same quote the cost was £6k. Either way you look it you can’t have the building without the base, so £6k in one hit for a building that’s still not fit for purpose and can let water in until you sort it out. Hope it’s resolved finally on the 17th June. Thanks
Update: finally had the shed / garage resolved. Lovely guys Neil and Keaton have done a great job in rectifying all the issues and making it fit for purpose on a very hot day! These guys deserve all the credit. Thank you

We’re really sorry to hear how disappointed you’ve been and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We responded to your original message within a couple of days to confirm that replacement panels were being produced, and we’re sorry if you feel this was not communicated more clearly or personally.
We’re genuinely sorry for the inconvenience this has caused your parents, especially after what was already a stressful move. Some panels were unfortunately damaged on delivery, and while this can happen on rare occasions, we understand how frustrating the delay has been. As you’ve now been advised, the remedial work is booked in for Tuesday 17th June, when we’ll be completing all necessary replacements.
We also want to clarify that the amount paid for the building was £4,775, in line with the paperwork provided at the time of order. It may be that some of your concerns relate to the design style of the building. That said, we completely agree that the damaged panels needed addressing, and we’re committed to putting that right.
We understand you had certain expectations for how the building should look and perform. While there are some design and material limitations within particular price points, we never want a customer to feel they’ve been left with something that doesn’t meet their needs. We’re doing everything we can to ensure your parents are happy with the final result.
We’re very sad that you felt the need to leave a one-star review, but we do take all feedback seriously. We hope that following the visit on the 17th, the situation will be fully resolved and your parents can enjoy the building as intended.
We’ve been trading for over 30 years and take pride in putting things right when issues arise. We appreciate your patience and hope we can move forward from here.

I ordered a customised Apex20 garage…
I ordered a customised Apex20 garage through GSG Buildings Preston. The whole process worked well apart from an issue over the need for scaffolding, the problem was resolved very quickly by GSG.
The construction team were very helpful and efficient and the garage looks exactly as I had hoped. Even my neighbours are impressed.

Garage roof repair
When a roof panel of our 20 plus year old Lidget garage was accidentally damaged we were having difficulty in getting someone to repair it. On searching the internet I was pleased to discover that Lidget offered a repair and upgrade service so I contacted them and their representative, James Hirst came to view the damage and offer a solution. Unfortunately, given the length of time elapsed since the original installation the original panels were no longer available. However, James went to considerable effort to source a suitable replacement and this was fitted most satisfactorily on the 18th March 2025. It is very reassuring that Lidget Compton are still manufacturing high quality garages and are able to provide such good after sales service after all this time.

We bought out 10x20ft concrete…
We bought out 10x20ft concrete prefabricated garage through Millbank Sectional buildings in Norwich.
From putting a deposit down to specification of the garage was very easy and straight forward. Tony and Kai arrived promptly at 07:20 (10minutes early) I provided some tea and biscuits and the job was done in about 3.5-4 hours. Very impressed over all. The in-laws had a very similar experience. Highly recommend.

Initial contact with Head Office was…
Initial contact with Head Office was very efficient. After we had our concrete base laid, Lidget gave us a delivery date and kept to that.
The installation by Trev and Steve was completed with a minimum of fuss in 3.5 hours. They explained the locking systems on the doors, the need to be careful with the sealing compound and generally left the site neat and tidy. A most satisfactory experience.

New garage
Love my new garage. I got it from Lidget Compton as my brother had just got one which looked great. There were some things that needed sorting, but they have a great guy they sent out to sort all the problems. This person had worked for the company for 20 years and knew his job well.
Bought the garage from Milbank Norfolk who was great to deal with too.

Pent 18’ x 10’ garage/shed…
We brought a pent 18’ x 10’ garage/shed from Lidget Compton. The pre-delivery contact was polite and supportive. The good service continued on the day of assembly. Trev & Steve arrived on time and took care to explain what would be involved in the construction to ensure everything was as requested. They then worked professionally, efficiently and tidily to build the garage quickly. Once complete they walked through the build to offer care and guidance tips. Great building, good service.

Disappointing
The initial erecting of the garage went well however when water started pouring in they didn't want to know. They blamed our base which they said was perfectly adequate before they took my money. Now the pedestrian door is sticking and is difficult to close. I would not recommend this company.

Before the installation, we provided a Customer Information Pack detailing the requirements for a proper foundation. This pack includes comprehensive guidelines on preparing the concrete base and information on how to prevent water-related issues. We also include forms that customers sign and return to confirm their understanding of these requirements, which were completed in your case.
We understand that water retention outside the base is causing problems, we have repeatedly offered advice on how to address this issue and have visited the property to see the problem first hand. Ensuring a proper base is crucial for the long-term performance of the garage, and we are here to assist you in finding a suitable solution.
Regarding the pedestrian door, we were unaware of the sticking issue until now. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. Please contact our customer service team at your earliest convenience so we can arrange a visit to inspect and rectify this problem promptly.
