Applied for a role here. Got declined. They sent me an email saying: why not register your interest for other jobs? Why would I? Avoid.

This company goes on about welfare and looking after staffs Mental health. As a professional trust me they really don't care about their staff. I have seen poor management in all levels and management just don't understand Mental health. Mitie you should be ashamed for the way you treat staff.

They brag on the profit of millions and can't pay the workers who claim mileage the government guidelines in petrol expenses of 10k. They only paying 5k.

Shockingly bad company to work for ! For the first time in my 53 years of life I am on anti-depressant medication and receiving guidance from a mental health nurse ! Why! They do not give 2 ***** about your mental health despite obvious signs of problems and choose to ignore the signs. I wish I'd never heard of the name. Dismissed for gross absence ! !

MITIE … or not !
I started off on a different contract to the one I finished on. Ok to work for at first, then the cracks started to appear. In house training means nothing in the real world as very little of it is actually accredited training.
They implement a new job ppm system which cost millions and it’s absolute pish ! Thousands of complaints from engineers all over the country 18 months in and it still doesn’t work right.
Last year they introduced smart AI cameras in all the vehicles except management vehicles, the AI is diabolical and is such a distraction when driving, distracting to the point it pi55es you off that much you want to rip it out, cover the cameras up and management are on your back immediately.
Get you to sign off jobs you’re not qualified to do etc.

Management is very poor. Very unorganised. Employers only employ elder foreigners who can do long hours. They tease you to do long hours, It does not matter what you have on your CV as long as you can 12 hour days, work 6x a week thats all that matters to them. For decades its been like this. After further research and talking to people, mitie does not give a toss about their employees you are just a number. Look at the other reviews.

I applied for 2 cleaning vacancies at Mitie one at Nottingham Job Centre and the other at Alfreton Job Centre. I interviewed for 1 of these roles but did not get any feedback. I accept I didnt get the job but it would have been nice to have a reply bearing in mind Universal Credit claimants are being pestered to get back to work and Mitie is a DWP contractor!!

I’ve applied for security officer jobs at this company on numerous occasions for the past 3-4 years and I never got through even once, despite being an experienced security officer. I’m honestly starting to think that they discriminate a lot. I’ve never been rejected by the same company I’ve applied on numerous occasions over a stretch of 3-4 years. This company really baffles me at how they don’t give a previously rejected applicant a chance for an interview atleast. I think the reviews speak for themselves at how badly run Mitie is overall.

I was phoning some companies today to ask about company structure. I phoned Mitie Customer Services and they point-blank refused to give me any information. I asked for the name of the HR Director and they refused to tell me. I asked to be put through to the agent's manager and they terminated the call. Oh dear, Mitie! I just had to post this as this brief experience says more about your company than you will ever know!

I recently left Mitie after almost three and a half years at a Ministry of Justice College near Coventry. I can honestly say that I have never experienced anything like it. They get one star as there isn’t an option to give no stars at all, I was so happy to drive out of the gates for the last time!

Were it not for Covid and lockdowns destroying my previous employment I wouldn’t have experienced such a demoralising and soul destroying employment. At 67 unfortunately I needed an income and as the college was very convenient to where I live, I accepted a job there, however I soon discovered that the front line staff are subjected to the worst kinds of harassment and psychological bullying, by supervisors and managers, you’re lied to regularly over petty issues using the ploy that it’s a directive from HR or Head Office and not their fault or it’s the fault of the college!, anyone speaking out or standing up for themselves is instantly a target to be bullied by supervision, at times we were spied on and reported back to management by favoured workers or other departments supervisors. You’re expected to jump when ordered but no support or recognition is given for going the extra mile, workers rights are regularly ignored, staffing levels seem to be kept ridiculously low probably due to a high turnover of staff and not replacing staff that leave due to the low wage rates and working conditions.

In the late summer of 2023 due to a great deal of disquiet among workers and an inability to recruit replacements all Mitie staff were invited to a meeting where a new “Regional Manager” was introduced along with the group HR senior management and we were told that all outstanding issues involving contract anomalies, wage discrepancies and hourly rates, number of holiday days etc etc would be addressed with urgency and there would be weekly meetings face to face on site with a senior HR Manager.
The failure to address these issues was a final straw that prompted me to give notice of leaving, I left at the end of January 2024 as nothing had been done; the initial face to face meetings lasted about a month and none of the issues were addressed, furthermore it appears that the new area manager left the company at the same time as me.

It’s fairly obvious that all the bluster, lies and window dressing by the company was to try to retain staff for as long as possible to keep the site running while efforts were made to recruit other poor unsuspecting people. During my notice period two of my colleagues also left the company totally dissatisfied by the broken promises and lack of action. My advice is that Mitie appears to do everything on the cheap at this site, they certainly don’t value their workers and are solely in it for personal or main board profit, unless you want to be treated like dirt don’t go there.

This particular site now seems run due to the efforts of the workers, the ground floor staff and their hard work in adversity, despite the abysmal total lack of support and lack of interest exhibited by supervision and management alike and a complete lack of both people skills and basic management skills exhibited by the senior manager and the supervisory staff.

It’s definitely a case of if something goes wrong it’s the staff’s fault, they’re the ones to blame! However If something goes well then the management always glory hunt’s and is first in line to claim praise.

A note for Mitie Senior Management, perhaps you’re not aware of just how bad moral is at ground level, perhaps you ought to take the time and look for yourself at the degrees of dishonesty and disrespect displayed to your frontline staff that actually do the work day to day and listen to them without having supervisors or managers in attendance as has been the case previously.

I’d like to believe that you would show sufficient concern to investigate this site thoroughly but experience says you probably don’t give a damn

Struggling with our trolley leaving Sainsbury's today when we were approached by a security guard, oh he's going to help us we thought but no the little Hitler demanded to check our receipt to prove we had paid for our shopping but did not even breathe one word of help getting the wonky trolley into the lift. Our party myself disabled walking with a stick, my wife and my daughter with our grandson her son in her arms. Shame these people are the best that Mitie can employ

Am a Cleaning Supervisor with 7 yrs experience. Applied for a Cleaner job but just received an email that im unsuccessful due to not meeting criteria.😂 Just shows that no interest of even reviewing the CV and shortlisting. Probably already has a person for the position and puts an add just as formality.

Was bullied by one of Mitie's security guards.
Not nice having some massive bloke stood over you in a threatening manner, treating you like something he's stepped in. Even worse when a supervisor has to tell him to stop with his unhelpful comments.
Very nasty character

I worked for Mitie as a PM. I was placed on a clients site. There I found myself from all other PM's. Instead of being seated with other PM's I was to be working in the mail / security desk. Strange as I was the only black person PM not to be working with all the other white PM's. I reported this to my senior director. He was not interested. I emailed this and my concerns. But Mitie Hr just blocked my emails and would not answer. This was the clients was ARM UK Cambridge. The money from the contract is more important than an employee working condition.
So if your black or brown person, Mitie will not to see racism, but only protect it's racist clients ie Arm Uk & Thales uk

Rob roden is evil very horrible person very sly not to be trusted he should not have a job in security because he trys to make people's lifes a misery he trys to get other line managers to back him using other security officers to do is dirty work if any thing goes wrong they take the blame he tells you straight he is going to get you the sack but it's good of him to give you the choice to quit your job first

Security guard in beckenhsm sainsburies has harassed me 2nd time this week with video evidence . Trying to escalate the issue and involving other customers and my wife .. mumbling about me to others and shouting thing to across the store from his cctv station .. as in to goad me into a fight / get others involved. walking back and forth while I’m talking to manager while I’m trying to ignore him. I have video evidence of the two incidents 1/01/24 and today also he approach me both times also waving his hands in my face which was intimidating and directly challenging me to fight him .. telling me ‘do my worst’ with pistol gesture in my face .. all with sainsburies manager as witness and agreeing behaviour is unhinged and escalating an issue he created .. as I was not accused of shoplifting there was no reason him approach me either times it seems he has a personal problem with myself . Please let me know where I can post videos third time I will escalate and involve police

Disgusting treatment in my local hospital. The place is hardly ever up-kept properly and always has things broken allover. However, the most disappointing aspect is how they treat their car parking working with UKPC. While working inside the hospital, I was fined £30 due to renewing ON THE DAY of my pass expiring. When I went to renew, the staff admitted that they don’t renew more than a month to try and catch people out, unless you pay for a full annual period. There’s also no ability to pay for a ticket online which is way behind the times. Now, a second ticket for the same reason. Disgusting behaviour towards busy and stressed hospital staff, I will not hesitate to criticise to the national press and Which? Magazine.

My father worked for this company and was diagnosed with cancer and these uncaring individuals had the Gaul to ask when he was returning to work……….he was dead😡

This company didn’t send a card or even enquire about his health but did quibble over his wages that he struggled to receive whilst sick……disgusting company.

My mum gave this company 13 years service and went above and beyond and even worked shifts unpaid……..she retired at the age of 76 and the day she left she didn’t even receive a card or a bunch of flowers……..all I can say is what a bunch of uncaring disgraceful individuals.
