I began working for Mitie via agency. I absolutely loved the job, done everything on time and tried my hardest with the job. Supervisors were absolutely lovely, friendly and always happy to help. However, the manager - took it upon he’s self to fire me. With poor explanation. ‘Bad language and attitude’ poor excuse!!! Because I never use bad language and never once had an attitude. I’ve always spoken to everyone in a friendly manner, especially in a work setting. I absolutely loved the job and wouldn’t do anything to ruin it.

I have worked with Mitie at The Mailbox in Birmingham.
Mitie state that it is 'an inclusive company to work from and encourages diversity etc'.
I have raised several formal complaints/ grievances as per the company policy where I have been bullied and suffered racism, sexism towards me, but the complaints have been completely ignored. I have requested for evidence to be collected to corroborate incidents, and again, these requests have been completely ignored.
I have raised this to HR and People Support, in addition to senior management, and it has been completely swept under the carpet.
Working for this company is one of the worst work experiences I have ever had.

I cannot believe they can get away with this type of behaviour.

They treat there subcontractors like dirt 3 months to pay and still chasing

The worst company i ever to try to work for. First of all they lied that it is a full time job and they lied that they give me SIA training. I was waiting for them to employ me for 2 - 3 months. I refused other jobs because of this job and I received barely any work in Southampton Port. The management useless and have no idea what they are doing and also they don't care about anything. They messed my life up and I didn't get even apology. Just I don't understand how this kind of company got so many contracts all over UK. AVOID them!!!

I was employed by Mitie as a Retail Security Guard, working with the staff at the store(s) I was doing was a great experience, doing the Retail Security job itself was best job I have probably ever had. Building up a rapport with customers was great and being a VERY good deterrent to those that want to shoplift was something I am immensely proud of, considering that the other guards I met and those I saw working at other stores were a disgrace! HOWEVER, the main reason I left the company is because if you are asaulted (as I was on two occasions whilst in their employment) You get NO support at all. You do not even get your immediate managers asking if you are ok?! They have ZERO support for their staff. They are unable to offer a safe working environment, due to their lack of interest in Security. You are working on your own (not at all sites, but majority of them outside London) And their rates of pay are an absolute joke! You earn less than the retail staff do! AVOID!!

Mitie are responsible for repairs for Orbit Housing. They are the worst company i have ever had the misfortune to deal with. response times times are apalling. I am a 75 year old disabled man, with chronic health issues. I have been waiting 3 weeks so far for mitie to repair[again] my wetroom which is not pumping water away and has flooded my hallway and wetroom several times. I am unable to wash as i cannot stand or walk. why do orbit use this joke of a company they should be shut down.

Toxic company. With all the bad feedback I am surprised the UK government hasn't taken action. I will give you the experience I had with Mitie..

Manager couldn't be bothered to turn up to the interview. I was interviewed by a few of the regular guards. Once I was in I did not receive important e-mails regarding training. The people you work with were awful. They were manipulators, gaslighters, cliques (like every mitie workplace it seems)

This particular site has lost 18 guards in 8 months due to the people who work there and the manager.

I put in 100%. Went in 30 minutes early regularly. Got nothing out. Since I wasn't ex-army a lot of the staff tried to push me out.

Beware - Indeed is rejecting negative reviews for Mitie, i don't trust indeed anymore. Definitely look elsewhere if you value your mental health.

It is a massive shame. This particular job was one of the best jobs I worked but it became intolerable because of the manager/people you worked with.

Mitie tell the client ''guards can't handle it'' when really its their own people who are pushing everyone out because they don't want to lose money on less overtime. I thought about telling Mitie what is going on on their site but i doubt they would be bothered.

Misogynistic within the security company. CEO Phil Bentley needs to be aware.
Worked at a magistrates court for 2 years, the two colleague's I was working with are brother's the pair of them thrive in making sexual comments towards women, recieving ordered stolen goods for themselves from a prolific thief, the goods are delivered in person to the court and kept there until end of shift. How mitie portray themselves is wrong.
This certain magistrates court has 2 sex pests and 2 officers in receipt of ordered stolen goods.
Area manager and operations manager are the most hypocritical pathetic persons. SIA will be informed

Most unprofessional, disgusting, doggy and fake company I’ve ever worked for. If you lick the right ass you get to be a manager or director, no education or knowledge needed. Disgusting!

Reviews don’t lie. Everything you read is true. You work Christmas Day and because it falls on a weekend you don’t get paid double time. “We care” erm no you don’t. Didn’t take my holidays in the first year I started because of a miss understanding with holidays and I lost out on over a grand. Didn’t have the decency to say “Don’t forget you need to take your holidays” They know what they’re doing. It’s more proof that you’re just a number and all these so called perks is just get you through the door.

I would advise you to never work for this shambolic company no matter how desperate you are for work, because you will regret it. You will do everything right, and still find yourself liable for something wrong. There is not one person I know that’s worked with MITIE that’s had a good experience. If you love yourself, avoid this dangerous company, there structure is evil, basically modern day slavery, worst company I have ever worked with by a nautical mile and I’ve worked in many.

Currently employed by Mitie in the process of leaving. I had a holiday booked and due to “staff off on the sick” they told me my holiday has been “cancelled” which is disgusting as it was approved. They ignore me when I ask for the intouch app to view my pay and hours worked and I am definitely being underpaid. Avoid this company at all costs. They treat you awful

Where do I start, well here we go,

If you want to be bullied and harassed by management join mitie it's first class treatment.

Victoria Bourgogne the queen bee in mitie. Everything in mitie goes through her and if she does not like you, then be prepared to get a group of managers trying to get you sacked by making false complaints against you.

Next Lorna McDonald what a dirty peiece of low life **"" she is, she is the one who does the complaints for Victoria Bourgogne, If you hear a complaint has been made by the client, ask to find out who made the complaint and 100% I know it's her name behind it. She was removed from mitie cleaning for causing problems with other cleaning managers.
Her mum funny enough is a mitie cleaning manager who is good friends with Victoria Bourgogne and got her a job as a mobile coordinator all of a sudden she the building manager for mitie, I smell something funny do you.

Anyway mitie cleaning management pinning in ghost cleaners to steal money from the clients. Employees or friends and family will get paid the money in there account, and that person will take the money out there account and receive a cut of the money and Jean sandbach (Lorna McDonald) mother will receive the money. Cleaning products being delivered at different sites then removed to take to another site, but its gone to be sold.

Then you have mark Perry network rail facilities management, who is good friends with Lorna McDonald and Victoria Bourgogne, inface mark regular takes them out to his house for food and drink he is heavy involved with the mitie scams and involved in taking money from the network rail. He was also involved in taking money and sharing it with his good friend Victoria Bourgogne. At one of the clients buildings They got lots of scrap metal and lots of funiture sold, a big payout you got did both of you.

Security management run by cleaners, not got a clue about security just learn as they go but when your good friends with the regional managers you can suck your way to the top.

Mitie landscaping, they don't care not interested in there job, just come on site and throw some salt on the floor and get off. The typical mitie way no one instrested.

Mitie management there all friends and all have this circle where they protect each other, if you put a grievance against one of them, it be guaranteed that your grievance will disappear in a puff of smoke.
And you have to fight to have anysort of meeting let alone a greivance. They will have other managers in the meeting taking notes and apparently they don't know them. but yet, there on there personal Facebook account and been talking for years. Then after you have seen the notes, things was changed as you never said half the stuff that was on the notes how odd.

Only friends get to be a mitie supervisor or Manager to keep it between them so no complaints can go any further.

You have Andrew bostwick good friends with David risley-newton ( I think that's the one he sucked his way up) he will back the lieing little cu*t David risley-newton all the way. So there's obviously something between them to going on, you know what I mean wink wink.

You have the security manager David risley-newton friends with Victoria Bourgogne and friends with Lorna McDonald because he used to be a cleaner.

Then you have, Mandy chandler security supervisor friends with Victoria Bourgogne.

Then you have, Elvedin Zdralovic he fled Bulgaria and got a job in mitie, they do take anyone on believe me.
He was a a security officer and good friends with David risley-newton, he was supervisor before he knew it (would you believe it) and he was good at his job at threatening people with there job yes your are in the sun newspaper as a uprising star, little do they know you are a complete cu*t, and the sun would print anything for a headline, and when David risley-newton sucked his way up to a higher position, (would you believe this) Elvedin Zdralovic then became the manager. Who would of thought it. Then he got his wife working as a security supervisor at brookville, now who of seen that coming. The list goes on and on.

I have a lot more to say but I will pass that on to the press, to see what they think of mitie. They take on a lot of government contracts. And while there doing alot of embezzlement, the government are trying to clearly cut cost and mitie are taking them to the cleaners, to be honest I don't blame them.

I am currently employed by mitie landscapeso eastern section, I find them very disorganised, top heavy with poor management skills all show and no substance they insist on staff taking online company courses over and over again which they are been paid for by govern mentioned grants ,it has too be fraudulent.

Absolute joke. They use a company called Bardwood to do the vetting, but you are working for Bardwood. Zero hour contract unprofessional management, lack of communication. It gets worse when you eventually start for Mitie, they live up to their nickname " Shitie"

I was messaged and called by this company after they took my detalis from LinkedIn,they want me for a job in their company,but i was working already and i wasn't avalabile till end on January so i never applied for any job with them next day i got a email saying that i was unsuccessful in my application for the job.
I guess this is how they justify their wages with fake applications and unsuccessfully candidates.
What a way to promote your company.

Barcelona airport Beware if travelling whilst black.

Whilst travelling in September I had a nasty incident at passport control. The man in a Mitie vest stated shouting and me and my husband asking us to return a trolley down stairs because we placed in into a group of around 5 trolleys nest passport control. A minor act nothing serious enough to get screamed at. He was shouting and we ignored him because he was scary, also as 60+ travellers we don’t do shouting it’s very disrespectful . We noticed he was only shouting at us the 2 black passengers, when we walked to passport control he physically blocked our way shouting some more and focusing on my husband. We asked him why he was 1. Shouting and 2. Singled us out from other passengers who also had trolleys. We eventually returned the trolley down stairs, because it looked like between the police and the aggressive man we could not continue our journey. We complained to Mitie asking them to check the CCTV. They said they could not and their employee has a 4 years record of good behaviour so we should suck it up, they also told me they support LGBT and equality. Just a warning when travel whilst black in Barcelona airport, have your camera set to record in case you are involved in an unprovoked incident you will have the evidence, if not you won’t be believed in fact you will be accused of bad behaviour, as they told me we had been swearing, I guess this means we deserved it, we were not swearing. They did agree that the white travellers where not asked to return their trolleys but apparently that was also our fault because we were complaining . Mitie has some White fragility issues and cares little for customers who just want to travel without being screamed at for making a mistake of bringing a hand luggage trolly to the passport gate. Beware.

Never , never,never work for this company as a sub contractor. They are the worst company ever to get paid from. I was warned and choose to ignore the advise from other contractors, how wrong I was!! .

Aggressive and rude security guard in waitrose. He assaulted my middle aged mother and emptied her handbag on the floor. He was rude, no compassion and had a disgusting attitude. I've lodged a formal complaint and I will be reporting to the police

I had an issue with a mitie cleaner shouting at me and falsely accusing me of leaving a rubbish bag somewhere. I didn’t. It was someone else and I didn’t know. Anyways I was upset that she was shouting at me, I called her manger who was rude and unapologetic and kept interrupting me. I complained to his boss and she was equally unprofessional. Constantly defending me being shouted at. In the end I realised they’re all trashy people band I didn’t get my apology. I had to leave it
