Moss Bros. 

I've had a previous good in-person experience at Moss Bros, Cambridge. However I've realised that one of my son's 4 identical Moss Bros shirts has sleeves literally 7-8 cm shorter than the others and has been unused as a result. I tried to get in touch with them on the out-of-date website, but it still says that all the shops are closed due to covid, and gives no way to get in touch with anyone to see if they might be willing to exchange. I've decided to give someone else our custom this year.

I called Moss Bros. Chester on behalf of my 81 year old Father to enquire whether they did Kilt Hire for a forthcoming wedding in Edinburgh on 25th September. The staff member confirmed they did but said I would have to make an appointment online for measuring, which I did at the beginning of August 2021. The appointment was today at 11.45 (23/08/2021). I received a telephone call at 09.45 this morning to cancel the appointment, saying that they could not guarantee delivery of the kilt hire within 60 DAYS!! Never mentioned this at all during my telephone enquiry. Also, due to staff isolation there was not one qualified member of staff at the Chester store to measure my Dad. This company is totally inefficient and unreliable.

Unfortunately you can’t give a zero, wedding suits ordered and paid for 2 months in advance and two weeks before the wedding we are told they can’t fulfil the order in time absolutely disgraceful service

This is not my usual shop to go to but I can assure you the service I received was exceptional and has left a good impression. I would like to recommend sidra in the Trafford store who has gone out of her way to help. 100% recommend.

I bought a wedding suit for my partner from their online store. First of all the suit cover I received was dirty and old. The suit cover was basis transparent, unbranded piece of plastic (covered with dirty lint), which is absurd considering how they promote themselves as classy sophisticated brand. The wedding jacket I bought was creamy white colour and I just can't understand how someone could store something white in a very dirty suit cover and sell it like that.
I spent £££ on their online store and I feel very disappointed with the quality of the product and it's packaging. The jacket was very overpriced considering the quality. The communication and delivery timing was also not that great either. This is my first and last purchase and would not recommend anyone to buy from here. Hope they read this feedback and do something about their pricing, product quality and packaging!

In summary, wedding suits on hire didn't arrive on the required day, the suit colour was incorrect and the sizes were all wrong. Coupled with the requirement to remain in store for over 2 hours to get sized up due to an IT malfunction (which appears to have been ongoing since March 2021).

Shop assistants advised the problem was 'out of their hands' and we had to 'sort it our ourselves'.

I would strongly advise those looking to hire wedding suits from Moss Bros look elsewhere. Slaters and other smaller independent hire shops are available. Moss Bros has had the monopoly of the market for some time and appears to have rested on their laurels.

I took my son to the Bristol Mall Moss Bros for his school suit, absolutely appalling customer service from the sales assistant who refused to measure my son and tried to sell him a suit that did not fit, it looked awful, the suit looked like a bag of potatoes, this company is supposed to be quality tailors, the assistant was a total moron, the manager was not much better, flitting around in the background and did nothing, no interest what so ever, in the end we just walked out, I will never ever deal with this company in future, this company is long overdue for a shake up!

Avoid this company at all costs. Oxford street have over £1300 of my money and cant provide the product. I have rung nearly 100 times a day and cant get through to anyone. They are ruining peoples weddings, causing a lot of stress. it is clear they are going out of business. Cant get through to any customer services. Have tried calling other stores but they have absolutely zero interest in helping and are very rude.

My partner needed to hire a suit for a wedding. We visited the store at the start of July and Georgie was very helpful in finding us the right item and measuring. Great so far! However, that's where the good service ended. We got no email to say the suit was in, and being an hours drive from the store we didn't want to chance it, even though it should have been there 2 days before (but we didn't know what time). There was no answer on the phone. I did finally get through in the middle of the afternoon - the 11th attempt, and the guy on the phone was apologetic about the lack of email and confirmed the suit was there. The next morning my partner visited the store. The door was locked, though there were people in side. He knocked on the door and a surly woman greeted him saying she had flu and didn't want to be there. Hardly the thing to be doing/saying in the current pandemic. She was very dismissive and didn't want him to try the suit on (though he did to ensure it did fit). Two days later on the return of the suit, again, the staff were uninterested and very poor, so he literally had to just leave the suit in its carrier on the desk and leave. Given a choice I would never use Moss Bros again.

Today we visited the Nottingham branch of Moss Bros. Group Ltd and took our nervous 6 year old for a suit fitting. Anthony was making jokes, asking him to be a scarecrow, and making him feel comfortable.

In total we rented three suits for an upcoming wedding and the price was just under £500, not bad! That includes waistcoat, tie and pocket square.

Anthony was also able to guess our measurements on site, which is what 34 years in the business will do you!

Long story short, Oxford Moss Bros store overcharged me £35 when buying a complete suit. Online customer services had acknowledged and "approved" the refund on their side, but the Oxford store never got back in touch with me to arrange the refund, despite apparently having told to do so by the online customer service team. This has been 3 months now.
Fed up with waiting I tried to reach out to their Communications manager and Head of Retail Operation Manager but no reply, no telephone calls ever since. (This has been just under a month now...)

Quite frankly what hope does this company have when their "senior" management have this type of attitude?!

Shop assistant Gary at new Cannock mccarthur glenn, best service I’ve ever experienced in any shop. Absolutely top quality. Suit was perfect too. Spent time with us selecting shirts etc. 100% recommend.

Went to Moss Bros in Southampton to get a linen suit for my daughter’s wedding in Italy . They didn’t have the right sizes of jacket or trousers. I decided that was the suit I wanted . So the manager Jas found other branches that had the jacket and another had the trousers. He had them both transferred to his store and then posted them to me free of charge. Outstanding service , suit arrived in good time and is great quality. Thankyou once again Jas .

At the point of entry at the Trafford Centre store, me and my son was greeted by Mark who was later revealed to be the assistant manager. Marks professional attitude and attention to detail was excellent from start to finish. Although the store was busy he was literally in two places at once trying to help accommodate the customers. That being said he still took the time to measure my son and managed to get him his size in the suit he wanted. Marks moto throughout the conveyor of customers was "never give up" and he had the right attitude.. Especially after what the world has been and continues to go through with covid. Amazing customer service which made our experience fun and satisfying. Will be a returning customer for sure. Thanks Mark!

DO NOT BUY A SUIT FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY.
WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD,

Was told my suit would arrive for a wedding on Friday, had to call up at least 16 times to get info on delivery and find out 3 days before wedding that it’s not even going to arrive as they over sold the suit. I payed 240pound for a suit I was never going to get. Never was told any info.

Staff in the shop were good and helpful but customer service is terrible.

Reading the reviews on trustpilot has actually made me feel a bit better - it is not only us receiving such poor service. I went into the Truro store today - the staff were rude and unhelpful. I wanted a suit for my son but could not get any of the staff to engage with us in the not particularly busy store. My son is autistic and a little overweight - is this why we were ignored? Too much trouble, likely to be a difficult fitting etc. Coming on here I feel much better because I realise that is probably not the case.. Moss Bros are just a dreadful company.

Excellent service today at Moss Bros, Newbury situated in the Camp Hopson Store where we e bought a two-piece suit.
Sean was very friendly, helpful, and patient despite being busy.

I’m still waiting for suits that I ordered NINE MONTHS ago for my wedding that’s taking place in a month.
We even went into the store TWO MONTHS ago to check sizes and make sure everyone would have the right sizes.
Having spent over £1200, we’re still short at least 75% of our order.

Staff in store repetitively lying telling my that the suits will arrive in 2 weeks. After querying every 2 weeks I’ve still been waiting 12 weeks and nothing. Not even a hint of an apology for their crap service.

Where do I start.
I got married on Saturday the 10th of July 2021 and if the day had taken shape anything like the rude and unprofessional service me and my family received from the Shrewsbury store the whole day would of been a disaster.

1. I picked the suits up 4 month prior to the wedding, to then receive a phone call when I returned home, explaining they had forgotten my shirts and I needed to return to pick them up.

2. When I ordered the suits in January 2020, I paid straight away (over £2200) to then be rang up a month or so later explaining they had under charged me £110.00 for two pairs of shoes and could I drive up to Shrewsbury and pay that off also.

3. My father had his suit hired, which understandably had to be re-measured due to the 15 month delay that covid caused.
He was told to go up 4 weeks prior to the wedding ( which he did) to get re measured. When he picked his suit up at the start of July and tried it on it was at least 2 sizes too small.

On the day he managed to squeeze into the jacket but literally could not put his arms through the waist coat.

After a phone call, he was abruptly told by a Shrewsbury member of staff " nothing we can do".

4. When my father took the suit back on the 12th July 2021, he put the jacket on in the shop to prove to the young lad who was working that day it was too small.

The young chap agreed that it was ridiculously too small and to refund him the money, but needed to clear it with management.

A short phone call to the manager of the Shrewsbury store, then seemed to completely changed the young man's mind, and all of a sudden the suit was fine and " didn't look to bad". No refund was given due to there being no evidence my father had his suit re-fitted 4 weeks prior to the wedding. So not only did they get it wrong, they then called my father a liar.

5. They missed a pair of shoes off the order, which we realised the day before. We didn't bother going to get another pair though as the service is about as much use as a chocolate teapot.

6. Go to Peter Posh. All I hear is good reviews from that place. 3 of my close friends are getting married this year and they will definitely not be using Moss bros, Shrewsbury
