I went with Orwells as I'd had a couple of glowing recommendations and I wasnt disappointed. The day of the move was made so much less stressful by Orwells doing everything very quickly and carefully. Looked at these to do a job - the reviews showing damaged to items is not surprising watching their vehicles driving up and down the A12 and A14. Not using them if they drive like that.

Craig, Amanda and their team were professional in every aspect of my dealings with them; from the visit by Craig to advise their services, the quote given (exceptional competitive), their efficient communication from beginning to end but most of all their exceptional service on the day of my move.

Even although Craig had just returned from an overnight move that morning, he was early to my property and made my move stress-free and an absolute dream.

When Craig came to see us to provide a quote he we through all the details and explained when they supply and how they carry out the move on the day in great detail which made us feel very comfortable to use Orwell Removal and Storage.
They arrived on the day and prepared loading the truck by protecting the floors and doors.
The 3 of them work well as a team and emptied our property with out any issues.
We arrived at our new home and they proceeded to unload our furniture and belongings putting them where we asked.
We can say that we had no damage or breakages at all, which we feel is down to the attention to detail they give to loading the truck and van.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Craig and his team.

The Orwell team went out of their way to squeeze us in last minute, just before Christmas, when things went through with our new house faster than we thought. Despite only having two days notice they were all very thorough and helpful. They turned up when they said they would. Everyone was professional, fast and efficient. The two gents that packed up the kitchen were friendly and took the stress right out of the situation. I will be recommending them to others.

Everything went smoothly, picked up from 2 locations and moved everything 260 miles away during the holiday period! Would use again.

Craig, Amanda and the whole team were brilliant. Craig (the owner) did a house visit to explain the whole process to us and do an accurate quote, which we found to be a fair value and not overpriced (hard a similar quote from AnyVan which I know wouldn’t provide such high standard service).

After the visit and our acceptance of the quotation, Craig and Amanda kept in touch and were very responsive.

On the day of the move, Craig and his team were quick and efficient. All the lads were professional, careful with our belongings and both properties, and made the move stress free. We even had the chance for some light banter!

2 things we were highly impressed about and are definitely something worth noting:
1) the property protection materials used (very thorough)
2) and how easily they took apart and assembled again our ottoman bed and corner sofa-bed

Great team arrived on time, delivered packaging well in advance and allowed us a fortnite to unpack before collecting their boxes.
If you're in a chain of buyers and sellers it is worth paying the extra to safeguard against access not given till long after 1pm.

Orwell Removals were very professional. They turned up early to avoid the rush hour traffic. The removal guys were very efficient, polite and helpful. They were patient when there was a delay to receiving the keys and they delivered everything into the requested locations very quickly and carefully. Would definitely recommend Orwell Removals.

Terrible, avoid like the plague!!

Owner was very charming in person and gave a good quote, but became increasingly rude when we spoke to him on the phone after agreeing to use them. Owner indicated late in the evening the night before we exchanged contracts that Orwell did not have the availability to move us, having agreed this date the same day, and in a frankly bizarre series of text messages exchanged, withdrew Orwell's offer to move us. We had offered to pay 50% deposit and asked for bank details to arrange transfer which the Owner had requested, but the owner refused to give this and became evasive.

Do not use this company - they left us high and dry. Unbelievable levels of unprofessionalism.

Orwell were really great. We lived on an awkward street with not much space for cars or vans and they dealt with it really professionally. They packed up the house really quickly and unpacked equally quickly! Very professional and friendly. We would definitely use Orwell again!

A very well organised and professional company. The whole process was hassle free and went really well. A great bunch of staff who were always friendly and polite.

Would highly recommend this company! They took all the stress out of moving day for us and were very careful with the more delicate items. Arrived on time and were efficient throughout the day, don’t have a bad word to say about the service we received!
