Collection and delivery from first floor flat
From the initial enquiry to the delivery of our furniture, all the staff were helpful and extremely professional. We were given clear information on costs and on insurance cover.
On the days of collection and delivery Andy and Eric ( collection) and Andy and Rory (delivery) were friendly and took great care with our belongings. They checked what we needed to be taken onto the van and were extremely efficient taking our belongings down from the flat and packing them.
We were delighted with the service and are happy to recommend this company.

Let down by damage
The team were polite and professional in their communications both leading up to and during the move, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing.
We paid for a full packing service, yet several items were damaged during the move. We also had issues with furniture not being reassembled properly afterwards and ultimately had to resolve this ourselves.
The claims process was lengthy and frustrating. For one significantly damaged item, we were eventually offered compensation equivalent to only around 30% of the original purchase value (and that was only after multiple discussions, with the initial offer being closer to 6%)
Communication remained courteous throughout, but the level of protection for our belongings and the lack of support from the moving company once damage had occurred fell well below what we expected from a professional packing and removals service. We were largely left to deal directly with the insurer ourselves.
I would strongly encourage anyone moving valuable furniture to read the insurance terms very carefully and not assume that paying for a premium service necessarily means you will receive meaningful compensation if items are damaged.

We are sorry that some items were damaged during your removal. While we handle a very high volume of belongings each week, and incidents are rare, we fully appreciate how upsetting it is when damage does occur, particularly when you have chosen a packing service for added reassurance.
We are also sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the settlement figure determined by the independent specialists. The valuation outcome is assessed by an industry-leading claims assessor and is therefore outside of our direct control. Naturally, we are disappointed that you feel let down by the result and by how the process felt overall.

Great experience! I had furniture from a 3-bed flat, several houseplants, and a big TV moved. Apart from minor damages to a few houseplants, everything arrived in excellent conditions. Communication, care of personal items, and efficiency were amazing. Friendly and professional staff, highly recommended!

Reliable and efficient
MoveStore was very helpful with my move and I would use them again.
While the costs were a bit higher than I was hoping, my moving situation was also a bit particular (i.e. I required packing services) and I am happy that my items arrived safely and well packed.

Stress Free Experience
We needed all our furniture removed as we were having our floors sanded. We contacted MoveStore who were very quick to respond and provided clear instructions about the process .On the day, the 3 hardworking, polite young men who packed away our belongings were extremely careful and efficient when handling our belongings. Nothing was too much trouble for them. When our belongings were returned a week later, the same professionalism was evident. I would highly recommend MoveStore.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this company. James and Cameron were great during the initial consultation and quote, kept in contact and kept us updated. On moving day, the team were amazing and went above and beyond. The lead mover, Andy, was an absolute legend. He went above and beyond helping my mom get all her furniture moved from Edinburgh to Forres. His whole crew, Rory, Eric and Kai were wonderful. The quality of the packing and the care that they took with everything was beyond anything we could have hoped for

Couldn’t Have Asked for Better Service
This was my first time using a removal company and I was quite nervous, especially with over two months of storage and a 200+ mile move involved. Cameron and the team made the whole process smooth from start to finish. They arranged a virtual walkthrough at a time that suited me, kept in regular contact leading up to moving day, packed everything quickly and carefully, and returned it all in the exact condition it left. I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough.

Reassuring moving process and all details covered
MoveStore were great from start to finish. The virtual tour was an easy way to give them all the details of my flat. Initially they couldn’t accommodate my preferred moving date, but phoned me when they had a cancellation to say they could slot me in. On the day the moving guys were extremely helpful, talking me through everything to make sure I was happy. They took extra care with all my boxes/furniture. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!
