Worst company I have ever dealt with

Purchased a defender HSE 26 July 2025 from Parks Glasgow for 58,999
Left the dealership and the tyre warning light came on turns out it had a slow puncture which they sorted on the Monday also gave it a clean as there was dirt and sticky sweets under rear seat
Had the car a week and being old school lifted the bonnet to check fluids apart from the compartment being filthy there was a mass of broken insulation at the bulkhead end it looked like a nest so I took it back and met with the sales manager Jordan on the Monday he said he would take it into the workshop to check it I asked if he would have it stripped out for any potential wire loom damage and guarantee that no damage had been discovered he said no but would check it and give me an invoice with no faults found
I asked if he would have it checked by a pest control and he declined saying I could have it done so I did and received a report at my cost which confirmed it was a rodent infestation and would require investigation and sanitised
I informed Jordan that I wanted a full refund which he replied that it was not an option, while I was trying to contact a pest control Jordan left me in his office and went to the office facing, well him and the person in the other office which I think was the GM were having a laugh not sure what that was about I can only guess
I asked to speak with GM but was told by Jordan that was not going to happen, I left with the car to have checked
What they didn’t know was I found an invoice to the previous customer in the glove box it was for checking an electrical fault in the dash area obviously they would have known that when I met with Jordan
I contacted Parks head office but they referred me back to Glasgow until I managed to have an email to one of the higher up persons but they don’t give out addresses so the receptionist forwarded on for me I called after a few days and got transferred to Glasgow again and was informed to return the car for a full refund
I had contacted a specialist company down south which said it would need stripped out and professionally cleaned and would take a week
A few days after I returned the car it appeared on the dealerships website at 3000 more than I paid and I wonder if they will reveal to the next customer
I would have thought the car would have been put to the market with the truthful history
I did put the registration on here but have removed but I will be trying to contact the new owner once the car has been taxed
I will never buy anything from this company

Brilliant

Just taken delivery of my second Duster from Jonathan at East Kilbride. What a credit to Parks he is. He was so helpful, knew his product extremely well and his friendly manner was well appreciated. Everything he said would happen and when did happen. All the people in the showroom were friendly and helpful and Zak, the business manager guided me through the formalities in a most professional manner. Thank you Parks and Jonathan.

Parks Pushy Poser

Parks Renault/Dacia Ayr-2nd visit. !st visit young over enthusiastic young guy eventually got the message, but today the staff member was very pushy and rude when asked to back off and let us look - in fact said they don't welcome that type of custom so we left. They lost a sale today as I had every intention of buying my next car there. I have dealt with Parks Nissan for last 2 cars but overall Parks have definitely changed the customer focus. On the other hand the Lady we met in the Irvine branch was just the right level of helpful- lessons to be learned. Makes you wonder what coaching/pressure they are under to meet targets.

It was bad as Lookers and didn't think possible but actually worse. Customer Service nonexistent. Won't explain anything and what they say goes with no explanation or justification. Honestly will not be back. Our vehicles will go elsewhere.

Parks @ East Kilbride - Top Team

Parks, East Kilbride (XPENG). Great team and service provided from Jonathan and Alastair (Geoff from Renault also brill). Purchased the G6 and they were on top of everything from start to finish and even got the car arranged for delivery a week early!

Parks Hyundai East Kilbride.

Parks Hyundai East Kilbride.
Visit this dealership 3 times in the past couple of months. Recalls and minor repairs completed for my Ioniq 5.
Fantastic, really pleased with the work done and time it took for completion.
The reception staff are great as well, special mentions to Nicola and Holly.

Parks Land Rover Ayr are atrocious

Parks Land Rover Ayr are atrocious. Customer service is non-existent. Technical ability is poor Over the last 2 years my car has sat in their Land Rover graveyard out the back for 16 months!

What I originally put down to incompetence I now put down to malice. They outright lie to your face and when you question it they back track on what they say to you. Very dishonest company and staff.

Avoid like the plague!

Quoted £179 for an MG3 first service…

Quoted £179 for an MG3 first service (same price as another customer told me he was paying while in the dealership). Had to cancel due to being in hospital but they still phoned to confirm the service at "£179". Phoned to rearrange the service and and get the "hold on and I'll get the price" nonsense. Comes back with £329. I say that it was £179 last time. Then the usual "hold on and I'll check". A minute later the reply was that was a "miss quote". Aye right the £329 is a "miss quote" so no chance. These clowns never learn.

ADVERTISING PARTS THEY CAN NOT GET AND SLOW REFUND PROCESS

I ordered parts from the Suzuki Parts Website (spare winter wheels for my Vitara) and paid for them. Two days later I get an Email saying they can not get them from Suzuki. So why advertise them!!!!! OK they said they'd refund them. Next day no refund, so i phone the East Kilbride branch, I speak to a very nice man I tell him I can not buy wheels anywhere else as my credit card is maxed buying wheels they actually do not have and I can now not buy others until the refund goes through. He says he'll speak to accounts and call me back. He doesn't and I get an Email saying it'll take up to 10 days to process the refund. That's totally unacceptable. They advertise items that they don't have or can not get (the wheels are still on the website) that is misrepresentation and a con. Then they have a complete inability to make a refund in a reasonable time, that's total incompetence and disingenuous. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR ORDER SUZUKI PARTS SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Poor communication from the Service department, had my vehicle in for a warranty check on the 26th April, chased 2 weeks later to be told it can take upto 6 weeks to hear back. Heard absolutely nothing for another 6 weeks. Messaged in to chase on again and got a reply saying tried to contact you and it was rejected by Volkswagen. No explanation or apology just rejected. I was told they tried to contact me nearly a month ago???? Although no voicemail left and no email, which I have been using to communicate with them (so an easy way to contact) I would have had a more accurate explanation from AI. Disappointing from a big dealership name.

Fantastic experience from start to finish.

Bought a new car from Parks Renault East Kilbride as well as trading a car in, the whole process was seamless, Jordan was a joy to deal with he was so efficient and attentive keeping me up to date on all progress,
Everything was completed within a few days, I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.
Amazing customer service.

Booked car in for starter problem…

Booked car in for starter problem thought it would about a week to sort,booked the in for thursday, but collected wednesday evening, told it might take a week,But it was sorted ,covered by the warranty the starter replaced and was able to collect friday ,only a small charge for diagnostic Nicky and team were Ace

inefficient and incapable

Called in to arrange a service on my one year old KIA. Parks answer the phone, tell me service receptionist is busy but take my number and tell me they'll call me back. Nothing. Next day the same thing? I called the 3rd day and again the receptionist is busy, she'll call you back and I told them straight thats the same bullsh1t as the last two days and hung up. Called Parks Coatbridge, the next closest dealer and exactly the same thing, so I called Arnold Clark Linwood Kia and got booked in immediately for a service which was done on the 13th May 2025. I wont be wasting my time with Parks again

Just bought a used Hyundai from Parks…

Just bought a used Hyundai from Parks East Kilbride, Jay and Liam from the Suzuki dealership were excellent in showing us cars and explaining the the equipment. They ensured that all the paperwork for the trade in, road taxing, and informing DVLA was done so making the process very easy from my point. I can recommend them if you are on the market for a car.

Skoda - Impeccable Service

Skoda Parks of Hamilton - Impeccable Service

We had a Skoda Octavia that required urgent warranty work, we initially called a local Skoda branch and they told me would be 22nd June before they could even see the car. Quick call to Gerry at Parks Skoda, He asks me to drop the car off and he’ll get it into the workshop at the earliest opportunity. Car dropped off 7th May and returned to us fully repaired on the 12th of May. It wasn’t exactly a small job, gearbox needed removed plus another couple issues. All work completed under warranty.

This is the level of service a dealership should be delivering. A genuine 10/10 for Service!

Parks Kia Coatbridge First Class Service

This is the second time I have used Kia Service in Coatbridge. Amazing, first class service. I booked it online with Kia. First time I waited for the service, staff all Very friendly and helpful, showroom lovely. Decided to go back again for my major service and Mot, this time I arranged for a free collection and delivery service. Again BRILLIANT service. I got a call in the morning from the garage to confirm what my car was going in for and that the drivers would be leaving to collect shortly. 20 mins later the drivers arrived to collect my car. The driver was also very kind. I got a call to advise my car was complete and the drivers are returning my car shortly. Again very quick with the return. All staff are lovely, my car was washed and I was updated on the progress. My car is 6yrs old and I will be using this garage for any work my car needs. I have recommended this garage to my parents and brother (also Kia owners) they are going to use this garage as well.
Highly recommended.

very disappointing customer service

I took my Jaguar to what I thought was Peter Vardy Jaguar (PVJ), in Jan 2025 for a 144k/108 month service and to have an issue with the camera system investigated. I was then told that the branch had been bought by Park’s Motor Group.

Due to the changeover from PVJ to Park’s some of the IT systems were not fully working and as part of my service paper work, I received a handwritten scrap of paper indicating some potential future issues, one of which was my NS tyre was down to 3mm tread. I was also informed that two cameras had failed due to corrosion and that corrosion wouldn’t be covered under warranty. I however received no further information or options to take the repair forward, so £210+VAT spent on the camera investigation to tell me it was corrosion with no offer of a resolution.

A big surprize came on the 31st January when I returned the car for its MOT test just 24 days and 183 miles after it had been in for a £381.03 +VAT service. I was called by the service department to inform me that there were cords showing on the NSF tyre. In the grand total of just 24 days and 183 miles my trye had gone from 3mm to cords showing. I find it difficult to believe that in such a short milage the tyre would have gone from acceptable and legal to very dangerous and illegal. I was called to inform me of this and I agreed for a new trye to be fitted. I was called again after the MOT was completed to further inform me that my wheel had been damaged in the process of mounting the new tyre.

When I arrived at the branch to collect my car and see the damage, I put forward my disappointment regarding the state of the tyre cf. from safe to dangerous and was informed ‘that I could speak to someone’ but the laid back shoulder shrugging gave me no indication that I would be taken seriously, and I was extremely angry and frustrated and felt that I was not in the right frame of mind, so declined the offer. I was informed that the damage was done by ‘the apprentice’. I don’t feel ‘the apprentice’ is singularly at fault, as everyone must learn, but at approximately £1500 per wheel, the apprentice should have been supervised by a fully competent member of staff at least.

I discussed getting the wheel repaired and was offered the opportunity to have it looked at by Park’s bodyshop, but to ensure durability and colour match I agreed to contact my own powder coater for an estimate and that I would be happy for ‘the apprentice’ to reimburse me for the cost and that Park's would facilitate this from Park’s side.
I left the garage and on my journey home the TPMS warning indicated low pressure on the NSF trye, so I went to a garage to use the inflator. It was when I was checking the trye pressures on all four wheels that I noted that there was very similar damage to the NSF wheel on the NSR wheel. On both wheels there was no damage to the tyre indicating that there had been no kerb damage and the wheel was not damaged before it was entrusted to Park’s. I was informed that he/we should have had a walk around the vehicle before I handed the keys over, but this did not happen. I was also informed me that there were no kerbs on site, despite the fact that you can see kerbs from the gate at the rear of the building.
