Constantly kept informed on the progress of my new passport,this is the second time I have applied for a new passport and on both occasions they have arrived within a week, outstanding service, Thank you Team.

From start to finish I was kept updated on my passport renewal but between post office and passport office is was great swift service I done my renewal online which was easy then I sent old passport to Passport office and sent it on Monday and had my new one sent back to me by Saturday of the same week.
A dysfunctional government department
My application for a new passport has been a nightmare experience. They rejected my nominee to certify my likeness, even though he was one of the approved categories of nominees and I gave full details of his company directorships. I then tried nominating someone else but the response was sent back to me in three successive attempts. The people I spoke to were extremely unhelpful.

Passports arrived LESS THAN A WEEK LATER which given bank holiday interruptions is amazing. Kept up to date with text messages. Website is simple to use. Five stars!

The service was brilliant. The information on gov.uk was clear and easily followed. The people at the passport office were friendly and helpful and the service was perfect.

You only tend to here about the passport office when somethings gone wrong, so the hence the review. Well done all involved!!

Utterly incompetent and mainly obstructive with complete imbeciles at the helm
Not only do they not understand a simple task of please return ALL documentation they're obstructive when trying to get all documentation!
One would presume there should be some level of intelligence with members of staff - clearly not!
Complete lack of professionalism

The online application process is easy to follow.
And I thought relatively inexpensive at approximately NZD300. However, it was not clear that I would need to obtain a copy of the person verifying my identity's passport until after they had completed the verification process. Make sure you get a copy of the photo page of their passport when you ask them to verify, if you are on a tight time frame.
It was just good luck that I had my dad's original birth certificate. A very old certified copy was accepted for the marriage certificate.
The longest delay was the time it took to send the passport application from Auckland to the UK. This cost NZ$126 and took 14 days, via NZ Post. And you need to file a customs declaration (to avoid standing in line at the Post Office twice).
Once received by the passport office, my passport was approved and printed within 8 days.
I have been notified by DHL that it will be received next week, 6 days after printing.
The passport office advised that it would approximately 3 weeks before I receive my documents back, and they are sent separately to the passport.

I am amazed with the whole process of renewing my passport. Such an efficient service with keeping informed of what stage of the process and the speedy delivery-Royalmail first class on time. The whole process from application to receiving my new passport only 12 days. And didn't pay extra for a fast application. Super service thank you 😊

As a dual British and Australian citizen, I needed to reapply for a UK passport due to the new UK travel entry requirements. I hadn’t had a UK passport for over 20 years, so it initially felt like a daunting process. After all the flak they received a few years ago, I couldn't have been more impressed with the service I received. Using a digital photograph made life really easy - the shop uploaded it and got instant confirmation it met the requirements. I then completed the application online and sent off my old passport. The new one arrived 4 days later. That's it. Straightforward, good use of digital services, no hassle and, to top it all, good communication at every stage - emails to tell me they had received my old passport, the new one was approved, was printed and then dispatched. I genuinely don't think they could have made the process any easier, or efficient.
