Kyle and Tyron came to fit two windows today. They arrived in good time and got straight to work. Both greats guys, kept their working area clean and tidy throughout and got the job completed with a result we're really happy with. This is the second job we've had done by Permaframe and can only recommend them highly.

Disappointed
We had 3 sets of French Doors installed, a back door and two windows.
The original delivery date was delayed as apparently our order "went missing".
The French doors have not fitted properly since day 1 and still catch on the bottom when they are opened.
The window struts on one of the French doors, one window and the back door aren't stuck properly and move from the vertical.
Won't be using them if we have the rest of the house done.

Good quality work but very poor communication and professionalism during the project
We were impressed by this company during the sales and planning stage, they were very helpful and responsive. We also felt positive when they set up a What’s App group with a large number of members to communicate during the project. However, in reality only one or two people ever participated and we don’t know who most of them were. The problems began early on when a major measuring error was discovered, meaning all the windows for the conservatory had to be remade. This then seemed to put the whole project off course, so contractors were not available when required and days and weeks passed with nothing happening. Contractors would also arrive with no idea about what they should be doing and no plans to work from. We had to ask several times for certain things to happen eg a hole in the glass for a cat flap was mentioned even when we were in the showroom and repeatedly afterwards, but the glass still arrived without this and had to be redone. So all in all a project estimated to take 4-5 weeks as we were told at the start took about 14. I think this would be easier to accept if it had been explained clearly at the start. Also if we had had an apology for their errors.
Having said all that, we are happy with the quality of the work overall.

On the WhatsApp group: it’s designed to give you direct access to the wider team 24/7, with the project manager acting as the main point of contact. I’m sorry if that wasn’t as clear or useful as it should have been.
Regarding the cat flap: there was no issue fitting one — the delay came from the glass needing to be remade as a specialist unit, which takes longer than standard. That should have been explained more plainly.
We’ll take your comments on board to keep communication simpler and expectations clearer. If you’d like to chat anything through, I’m happy to give you a call.

Where do I start, Shocking management and Project Delivery.
Where do I start. We have used this company twice and will not be doing so again and would advise others to choose a different supplier. Our first installation of windows and doors was fairly straight forward and seemed to flow with a few niggles.
However, giving the company the benefit of the doubt we re-engaged for a porch conversion, simple removal of UPVc fram and windows replaced by single wall, door and window. This was ordered around Mar 2025 with an expected delivery in May 2025. We had a number of visitors, builder survey mainly who was drawing up the plans for the install to be agreed. These plans never made their way to us for review or approval.
It was left to us the purchaser to constantly chase for updates on the project and when the branch manager and operations manager visited they to failed to bring any plans on the design we were purchasing, and any informed dates by the company were never actually met. Things finally started moving at the end of Aug 2025 and our installation final complete albeit not signed off on the 17 Sept 2025 some 6 months post order.
Communication has been shocking and the actual installation was full of issue, even to the point that when the fitters turned up to fit the door and window, they did not fit into the areas left by the builder who had completed his work to the design info provided by permaframe, of which we had never seen.
The sub contractors and installation engineers where fantastic and massively let down by the poor management and delivery of this project as a whole.
I certainly will not be a revisiting customer.

Outstanding service from start to finish
The ordering process was very straightforward and promptly followed by a visit from the surveyor who confirmed our choices for our new front door. We didn't have to wait too long before delivery and fitting. Adam and Ben were very efficient, friendly, knowledgeable about their trade and company which is always reassuring. They were tidy workers and cleaned up afterwards. They were an outstanding example of good team work and company representatives. We would highly recommend Permaframe for the quality of their products and staff.
