Excellent response on the phone to a query I had about the item before I purchased it, then very prompt delivery after ordering on line. The price was also very competitive.

Having bought a pair of Bowers and Wilkins Formation Duo speakers in March 2025 and being incredibly happy with them I noticed some bass distortion on one of the speakers, particularly with heavy bass tracks but noticeable on many on closer inspection, so reported the issue to Peter Tyson within what I thought was 1 year warranty period (Actually is 6 years!). Talked to Liam and arranged DPD pickup the very next day - which was great. Sent to B&W test facility and fault was confirmed and both speaker bas drivers replaced. Received the speakers back after just over 1 week and pleased to say sound awesome - and pass the Massive Attack Mezannine test at high volume😊 ! Got to say I was mightily impressed with the service received via Liam and the fast turn around time considering I'm down in Essex and they're up in Carlisle. I might just have to fit in a trip up there when the weather is nicer to check out the showroom and see what other HiFi temptations are on offer

Purchased KEF kit from Peter Tyson and I have to say that I’ve not been disappointed. Great advice, solid communication throughout the process, and delivery when promised. This is the third time I’ve bought from them and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Highly recommended.

We had a Vax 32v stick cleaner. First of all, the wires to the brush-head motor broke. I fixed it. Then the suction motor started to grind. Bought a good second-hand suction motor but the battery stopped working (my fault), so the whole thing is no good.
Repairers say that they treat Vax as disposable, no repairs. Vax don’t do spare parts for long either.
Half price Miele stick cleaner? Same price as a Vax ! No brainer. Excellent build quality. Don’t expect to need to ask Miele to fix it but confident they would support it for a very long time.
Bit heavy to carry but works a treat. You don’t notice the weight when using it. Automatically starts up the brush motor when on a carpet and switches it back off on hard floors.
Did I say I was delighted? Well, I am! Highly delighted.

My order of Yamaha cd player was delayed waiting for stock. But to my surprise it was delivered today about a week earlier than I expected,that’s what I call great service. Oh and by the way the cd player is performing fantastic!!

I can't speak highly enough about the service I have had from Tyson's in Carlisle. I had a problem with my Marantz receiver which I had bought from them some 5 years ago. I took it to the shop and they gave me their time in checking it for me. Although the fault wasn't identified they kindly sent it off to Marantz's recommended repairer where the fault was diagnosed, a faulty capacity. This was replaced and the unit returned to Tyson's in Carlisle. I was expecting and prepared to pay for the repair and service but out of goodwill there was no cost. The whole process took just one week. Exceptional.
I can't express just how good it is to have a specialist shop where we can talk with confidence to staff who know what they are talking about and can give invaluable advice with enthusiasm. Where we can go and listen, watch what we are interested in and compare, to have a dedicated department set up specifically for that purpose and where staff will go the extra mile in the interest of their customers. Such a rarity.
There is still very much a place for such shops. Long may it be so.
I would like to express my particular gratitude to Steve and Luke for their time, patience, knowledge and help. They are both a credit to Tyson's.

Ordered a Magimix food processor via the website on a Friday afternoon. Received confirmation that it would be shipped on the following Monday - it was and it was delivered to me on the Tuesday. I purchased a Harman Kardon soundbar from Peter Tyson which developed a hardware fault (crackling at volumes over 30%) just after a year of ownership. Despite the unit having a history of a previous failed repair for the same issue, customer service was dismissive and insisted the unit was 'out of warranty,' ignoring my statutory rights.
They initially agreed to reimburse the shipping costs for the return, but after I spent £31.33 on a fully insured courier to ensure the unit reached them safely, they reneged on this promise, claiming 'No Fault Found' despite my providing specific details on how to replicate the hardware failure.
While they eventually provided a partial refund after significant pressure, their refusal to honor their word regarding shipping costs and their attempt to charge an illegal 'restocking fee' for faulty goods was very disappointing. I would be cautious when buying high-end audio here if you expect reliable support when things go wrong.

I have never used online services to buy Hi Fi products before I knew what I was looking for, done all the research stuff and Peter Tyson was the only choice for me. So this was during Christmas and new year so a very busy time but also meant SALES! so really good prices.
So I hit the buy now box, I was aware that some of the order was not in stock and the guys at Peter Tysons were extremely helpful great communication plus the anticipation of “we’re expecting your parcels” the perfect online shopping experience. Outstanding service from Peter Tyson. Recently bought three kitchen appliances + a TV. Great experience dealing with the sales team and the delivery team were excellent too.
We then had an issue with one of the appliances and the Service & Returns team managed a replacement / re-stock very quickly and efficiently.
