Staff was friendly and helpful
Staff was friendly and helpful. The scene was chaotic and my only complaint was that they offered that I could use a pallet jack to move my items but it turned out the pallet jack I was using was sold in the auction. Hence my only way to move those big items was removed.
I knew auction folks couldn’t help me move my items but it was tough. Not on them, for sure and I’m appreciative of the help they were able to provide via use of items before folks came to claim them.
If Rasmus could offer at least pallet jacks or something similar, it would expedite the removal process and maybe help more folks bid on items knowing they’d have a path to removal if they win.

I wasnt able to pick one up until it was after the pick up date. Luciana helped me a lot to schedule a different pick up date so I could get my item. She was super sweet and helped me so much.

Good eve. You don’t know me, but my name is Chad Valley. I owned a company and used Mitch Rotker/owner of Capital Online Auctions LLC to sell my business last year and he screwed me, sold all my equipment and didn’t pay me. He has now partnered with Rasmus auctions and If you look him up on the Maryland court website of Capital Online Auctions LLC, you will see multiple lawsuits but you will also see one lawsuit from the state of Maryland for over $34,000 in unpaid unemployment taxes to the state which has put his business in a standing of not good and then a new lawsuit by the state of Maryland was filed in June 2026 for unpaid income tax of over $276,000 dollars and liens have been placed on Mitch Rotker. I want you to know the kind of person this man is and at this moment he owes me over $30,000 for business transactions between his company and mine that he failed to honor.

I was bidding on barrels of oil
I was bidding on barrels of oil. It said you've won on 3 items. I only got charged for 1 . So I texted with rasmus and asked why I didn't get charged for 2 of the 3 items. The answer was maybe a computer glitch. Not a good excuse. So I had to drive from Cleveland ohio to got 1 barrel or lose my money. When it said I won more than 7 barrels. Then when I got there the forklift couldn't go down the ramp to load. The auction before that I had bought a scout for a mini Excavator. 9 hrs waiting. 1 fork lift . Everything was packed in trailers . Mine was in the front of the last trailer. Rasmus.com is not very customer friendly I was talking to other customers said this a common problem. Don't buy unless the deal is to good to pass because you will be treated like ---- !

Strict about pickup times and help, or lack thereof. Confusing messaging sent to me that “assistance will be provided at the pickup location” and when my help wasn’t able to make it, several Rasmus employees were not permitted to help and just sat scrolling on their phones. They have no compassion for helping somebody in a bind and their pickup hours were during the workday, 9-3 - you get one shot at getting your stuff from a place that has probably had this stuff sitting there for a month. Overall disappointing in their lack of giving a shit.

At Rasmus Auctions, buyers are responsible for bringing the labor, equipment, and transportation needed to remove their items. While our team is always happy to help direct buyers, answer questions, and coordinate the pickup process, they are not permitted to physically load items due to safety and liability requirements. We understand how disappointing that can be when plans change at the last minute, and we appreciate you calling out the confusion so we can make our pickup instructions clearer going forward.

I purchased a 40 ft shipping container
I purchased a 40 ft shipping container. Unfortunately because of heavy rain my shipper canceled on me at the last minute and the replacement shipper could not move the container for the next 7 days due to rain. The auction company (Auction Nation) said they had other containers coming in and said they will use a crane to move mine out of the way when the new ones came in and charged me $400. When my shipper picked up the container it was only moved 5 ft and there were no other containers around it. So basically I was charged $400 unnecessarily. And while the auctioneer may have been in the right legally to charge me, I feel that I was lied to in the reasoning and overcharged nonetheless.

In this case, when the container was not removed within the scheduled pickup window, our team worked to accommodate additional time and coordinated movement of the container to allow the site to continue operating. The relocation fee reflected the cost incurred to reposition the container after the agreed removal period had passed.

I had an emergency situation & couldn't make my pickup time so I called the office. They started a text chat w/me & the team at the location. The team went above and beyond to help me. The on-site team lead, Karen stayed a little longer so my son could pick up my items. I was so grateful. Great customer service every time I have gotten something through Rasmus.

They were positive, engaging, and very helpful.
The on-line process for reviewing the offerings and making a bid was smooth, as always.
I have noticed a wide variation in the quality of the descriptions and pictures of the items being sold. Some vendors are A+ in this aspect; others are closer to C minus.
