This is a great little supplier. I have purchased several times online and on e changed the order after placing it. I find them to be very helpful, prompt and flexible. I am about to place another order today, but saw the rating and thought I would do my part in putting the record straight. Highly recommend.

No delivery and no reply to email - had to get refund via bank. Avoid.

Absolutely first class service. I telephoned to check if an item was in stock and how quickly despatch time could be. Viv was incredibly helpful and advised me that if I placed the order straight away, it would be despatched that same day. True to her word, Viv sorted out my order, confirmed despatch and within two days my Alessi kettle arrived.
I could not ask for a more professional and expedient service. Thank you Viv and team.

Ordered two Alessi items, day after order I received an email to advise one was out of stock and they would be back in around 10 days, one was a gift and required by a certain date, Viv arranged for the one in stock to be sent out and for the second one to follow, that has arrived today. I was concerned when reading some of the reviews once I’d ordered but have had no issues whatsoever, good communication, products arrived as described, very happy.

If there was an option for No stars, I would have rated this company with No stars whatsoever. I placed an order with them, which took roughly a month to arrive. I received an email approximately two weeks after ordering, stating that there would be a delay! When it did finally turn up, I needed to return it as it wasn't right, and Richmond Cookshop state in their returns section to contact them prior to returning an item. Fair enough, but there was no response to my email, and no one picks up the phone if you try to contact them that way. So far, I've called them on three times, and its a recorded message saying there's no one there, and to call back later. This just is not good enough. Customer service is non-existent. So, if you want to waste money and time (not to mention patience) buying from this company, go ahead and order from them. If you want to save your money and sanity, don't bother!

I have bought several items from Richmond Cookshop as they have competitive pricing and all without a problem BUT I returned a faulty SKK pan over a year ago and despite many reminder emails to them and one email from Viv promising to sort it out, I have not received a replacement pan or refund.

Providing an honest balance to these negative reviews. These reviews did get me worried and I did call up in case I never received order

I got a call back by lady who was very helpful and I think the slow update is because it's an honest local small business that's trying to keep up using competitive prices and it's run by a few staff

Email order and delivery updates were all received and I got my order at the cheapest price. You just need to be patient!

I have purchased quite a few Alessi items over the past 10 years and although the delivery was a bit slow, Viv did inform me of the delay.

I am not sure why some customers are giving this shop a bad review as I have no complaints

After waiting for a long time for our SKK Induction Casserole, it finally arrives, but for my surprised it came with one of the handles broken. Since then, I have been trying to contact the company in several occasions, by email or phone to solve the issue, but they didn't answer any or my email neither pick up the phone when I called. Now, I have a very expensive but broken casserole at home.

Ordered a knife on the 14th of September. Never arrived. No communication. PayPal refunded me. Would definitely not recommend this site. Waste of time

I had to cancel an order and was awaiting a refund; after not being able to get through on the phone and no response to an email I panicked - especially after reading some of these reviews. But Viv called me back almost immediately on contacting Paypal and was lovely. Very apologetic, explaining some of the challenges she is facing and my refund came through immediately. I agree with another review, that their biggest fault is probably keeping up with demand, but as their prices are so reasonable - it's not surprising. They seem like a legit, family run company, that probably just need a bit more help managing their online presence

Ordered an Alessi espresso maker for my husband’s birthday over a week ago: payment taken but no communication whatsoever,
despite emailing them twice!!Am now very worried it won’t arrive in time. Very disappointed- should have checked the reviews before ordering……

I really hate to leave poor reviews, but I'm being as constructive as I possibly can!

It has taken a LOT longer to finally receive the final part of my SKK pans order than I had expected - 7 weeks, not the 5-10 working days originally stated.

I fully accept and understand that the shop can't control the import delays caused by brexit. Perhaps the importer needs a kick in the pants, or maybe SKK are giving up on the UK.

But - if you are reading this, Viv, and I really hope you are - your communications are AWFUL! You do not appear to read emails, and certainly do not respond to them. Your phone rings out to a message saying you can't take the call, and to ring back later.

You do ring callers back, but you don't know who you're calling, just calling the caller ID.

Please, Viv - read and reply to your emails, and GET VOICEMAIL so you know why people are calling you!

Ordered two Wusthof knives from this company. Slight problem with delivery company but kept well informed by Viv and arrived a couple of days later. Well packaged, delivered in perfect condition. Great service.

I had used this company once before and experienced no problems. This time round however, it became a total waste of my time. The order is only partially fulfilled, the seller does not respond to any emails, there is no returns process and you end of chasing your money. Avoid.

I ordered two Alessi soap dispensers on Feb £rd and the order seemed to be OK When I heard nothing I emailed asking when the order might be delivered and was told it would take 5 to 10 days It didn't happen,follow up emails were ignored and eventually today, Feb 1st I resorted to Paypal to get a refund. It worked but I would not recommend this outlet and feel the owner really isn't trustworthy and can only confirm other negative reviews on this site. I really dislike having to write such a negative review but feel other possible buyers need to be warned

They dont seem to have stock, so order in things, so if you need something fast, look elsewhere.

Once I discovered it could take a few weeks to get the item I ordered, I unsuccessfully tried to contact them by mail and phone.

I have now started the charge-back process with my bank and ordered the same item ( for less ) that was delivered in less than 24hrs!

My advice would be not to buy online through Richmond Cookshop.

Ordered an Alessi Kettle Whistle, on receipt noted it was the wrong one, Richmond kindly confirmed if we returned the order they would replace with the correct one. Having posted the item back, all communication was immediately stopped, no response to emails or phone calls, so now am out of pocket for original order plus postage for the returned item and have no product of any kind.

ordered an alessi clock, it has not arrived, people not answering emails or phone unable to take calls. Do not use this website. Shocking service. I will be attempting to get my money back through pay pall.

Ordered an SKK frying pan on 16th of December. Phoned them last week as it hadn’t arrived, and as I couldn’t get through the lady from Richmond Cookshop phoned me straight back and said that she would send another pan straight away. She was very helpful. This is not a large company and I agree with other reviewers that we should cut this company some slack.
