The process is quite in depth to achieve approval which is a good thing to insure standards are kept high, however the team are only a call or email away, a big thank you to Sian and Lee who were happy to advise in my many questions i had for them

Needs better price for Small Business
Asked to leave feedback so honest feedback below. For a small business we feel this an expensive option forced on us as If we want to supply another company thats a Safe contractor member then we have to be Safe contractor member which I personally do not like the thought of... Someone has to pay these costs and makes a small service that we supply locally more expensive for customers. We do understand the benefits of membership with health & safety amongst other benefits but we feel this set up favours the big national companies more and we believe membership costs for Sole traders & small businesses should be much lower than what Safe contractor are charging at the moment. I hope they look into this and set a president for small businesses and cap the price at a lower price to help small companies come onboard and stay.

SC Accreditation Process
The accreditation process was straightforward and professionally managed from start to finish. The assessor reviewed our submission promptly and provided clear, constructive feedback where certain documents were either not suitable or did not fully meet the required standard.
Rather than simply rejecting the submission, they explained what was needed and pointed us towards appropriate examples and guidance, which made it easy to address the outstanding items. Once the amendments were made, the accreditation was processed efficiently.
Overall, an excellent service with knowledgeable staff who were helpful throughout the process. I would certainly recommend Safe Contractor to any business looking to achieve SSIP accreditation.

The application process is straight forward and the portal allows you to upload updated documents when relevant to keep on top of your compliance.
You can reach out to a representative by either using web chat or telephoning them for assistance. I found Elisha to be helpful and understanding.
