Uploading our documents and informations in the portal of SafeContractor was going well.
Our point of contact at SafeContractor was helpfull and replied timely. We were in an urgent need for the Contractor Safety certification and we are very happy to see, SafeContractor did a serious audit/ assessment of AMF, which is very good, but also was responding to our requests pretty fast.

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback.
To clarify, SafeContractor runs on an annual subscription basis so your membership payment is due on the same date every year.
Our team does typically follow up with members before a payment is overdue so your membership doesn't become invalid, allowing for any queries or amendments on the price. I can see from your account you were supposed to pay your membership fee in May but we kept the account open to give you enough time to make any decisions.
After your membership had expired and we did not receive payment the team began reaching out to confirm if you still wanted to be a valid SafeContractor member. We want to make sure all of our contractors are aware of their account closing down and approval becoming invalid to avoid conflicts with any work that relies on it.
We understand that the timing and cost can be challenging and appreciate this process is not always straightforward. We did then amend your invoice, giving you a discount to try and assist you with maintaining the approval.
This was always intended to be supportive and never meant to feel intrusive. Apologies if it did come across that way.

Excellent support and a professional assessment process
SafeContractor provided a professional and straightforward assessment process from start to finish. The portal was easy to use, the requirements were clearly explained and the support received throughout was excellent.
A special mention to Sally Thomas and Rhys Edwards who were both extremely helpful, responsive and constructive when reviewing our submissions. Any queries were dealt with promptly and guidance was provided where required, making the process far less daunting than expected.
The assessment was thorough but fair, helping us strengthen our management systems whilst achieving SafeContractor approval. We would have no hesitation in recommending SafeContractor to other contractors seeking a recognised health, safety and sustainability accreditation.

Your new charging policy is extortionate, why do I pay for a Sustainability questionnaire but also have to pay again for anyone to see it. Please revert to issuing a certificate.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you feel frustrated by the changes to our charging structure, and I completely understand why this may feel unclear.
To clarify, the sustainability questionnaire is an additional verification designed to benefit your business. Alongside the Part 1 Health & Safety approval, it ensures your business meets PAS91 standards and is something clients are actively looking for when selecting contractors.
Additionally, we do not charge for digital copies of our SafeContractor certificates, there is a charge, however, for physical copies. This could explain the additional fee you paid.
To clarify, even without a certificate your verification will still be visible to the 450+ clients that use our client portal.
Whilst we do not automatically generate certificates for our Part 2 Sustainability verification, we do create them on request if needed. I would be more than happy to arrange this for you once I’ve located your account.

Professional and Efficient Accreditation Process
We recently completed our SafeContractor renewal and found the assessment process to be straightforward and well managed.
The portal was easy to navigate and the feedback provided by the assessment team was clear and constructive. Where additional information or clarification was required, the requests were specific and helped us address the points quickly.
Our auditor was responsive throughout the process and provided helpful guidance to ensure the submission met the required standards.
