It was easy to contact customer support…
It was easy to contact customer support to gain information on what my best membership options were. Jack was a great help.
The assessment was relatively easy however I thought I had completed it after Part 1 as it said 100% and submit. I then had to go back to the Part 2 and complete.
Once completed, the assessor Sian called me who was excellent. Very friendly, professional and extremely helpful. She processed my audit very quickly and send the certificate via email.

The process took longer than expected…
The process took longer than expected due to using the Safe Workforce consultant, this was a cost of £1900 to work with an in house consultant who was slow at responding and when asked for help and advice that was never delivered, we used a third party that was so much more efficient and helped throughout, due to the time waiting on Safe Workforce this has cost us a large client!! Not Happy

Megan James at SafeContractor has been absolutely fantastic throughout our application process.
From start to finish, Megan was professional, approachable and extremely helpful. She took the time to explain exactly what was required, responded promptly to queries and genuinely went above and beyond to assist us in getting everything in order.
The process itself can be quite detailed and stressful at times, however Megan made it far easier with her knowledge, patience and excellent communication. Nothing was ever too much trouble and her support throughout was greatly appreciated.
It is rare nowadays to receive such a high level of customer service and professionalism. Megan is a real credit to SafeContractor and I would not hesitate to recommend both her and the SafeContractor team to other businesses looking to achieve accreditation.

Renewal of our company SafeContractor certificate
The process was an annual update of various Health and Safety procedures used by my company, by answering questions and uploading documents via the SafeContractor portal. Completion is somewhat time critical but, in this case, was done against a background of my company moving premises, as well as being constrained by me only working part time.
My submissions were then given a preliminary assessment by SafeContractor's Chloe Wilkinson and then a full audit by Sharon Evans.
Both Chloe and Sharon were very pleasant to work with, acting more as guides to help the process towards conclusion. They were also very patient with the occasional slow progress, displaying an attitude of helping me to achieve my goals. This very much helped me to achieve the target, for which I thank them both.

To clarify, gaining your SafeContractor approval ensures Health and Safety compliance within your business, helping you to trade safely and build trust with clients. Once you become a member, your business is made visible to over 450 of our clients via a portal, allowing them to view your profile and consider you for future opportunities.
Many of our clients choose to work exclusively with SafeContractor-approved businesses, so becoming a member can help to increase your exposure and promote your services to a wider audience. However, while we provide this platform and opportunity, we cannot guarantee work, as the decision ultimately lies with each client and who they choose to engage with.
I would really welcome the opportunity to review your journey with us in more detail to understand where your expectations may not have been met, and to address any potential gaps in our service. We have used Safe Contractor as our key SSIP accreditation for many years. They are a responsive and supportive organisation and a pleasure to deal with, the accreditation provides tangible benefits in a sector awash with cash grabs and cartels.
