🚫 Selling Upgrades That Don't Exist! Complete Scam! 🚫
I was sold an upgrade, and their was no first class available on this route. So, in a nutshell, I was scammed as what I was sold was not available. This is Fraud by false representation, and this in the United Kingdom is covered by the Fraud Act 2006. It's also known as fraudulent misrepresentation. An appalling service and they are not contactable by phone or email. IF YOU GET SCAMMED BY THIS FRAUDULENT OUTFIT, CONTACT YOUR BANK TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!

Superfare train tickets
Massive shout out for the lovely Victoria from Seatfrog for helping sort out my Superfate tickets today!! My daughter booked them but I thought it was under my email but alas it wasn’t. Panic set on with me but Victoria was through and extremely helpful. Ticket are sorted and off to London in the morning. Highly recommend this company and again Victoria your a star ⭐

Refund without delay or fuss
I accidentally booked a ticket to the wrong destination. Realising my error I immediately cancelled it and booked the right ticket. I expected a long process to get a refund. Instead, Victoria L sorted out my refund very quickly and without fuss

Booked seats then cancelled train refund requested email response with link to populate claim form unable to complete claim form as it needs ticket numbers that are not available when refund is in process! No contact numbers to call definitely won’t use this service again! 198 pound out of pocket so progressing the claim through Amex who were really helpful. Tip use Trainline awesome service really helpful and understanding
Typical response below went out or sent out?? That also wasn’t explained through the email refund requested! Absolute joke!

Great experience
First time i have use the app and was delighted with the outcome. Traveling back home on a train for three and a half hours in comfort for next to nothing. Food and drink also supplied which made the journey home even better. Will definitely do this again.

Having been first timers.
Having been first timers the excitement of the unseen auction and being lucky to get the first class tickets it was perfect. Straight forward app. with easy to understand guidelines everything was straightforward, thank you.

I won…only I didn’t!
I was the winning bid this morning and watched the clock time down and was still the winning bid. Then 30 seconds later told I had lost auction…how?!!!
I have had only two upgrades since joining last year and paid quite a lot but since then nothing. This does look more and more dubious especially when reading some of the other reviews.
I am concerned LNER endorse this as I need to use their services.
I have read the complaints process but this takes 2 weeks so what is the point!
I have one more auction for my return but feel this will also go the way others have described.
To make the service better explain why a winning bid becomes a losing bid even when you were the last bid standing. Be honest about the likelihood of success if you don’t travel from a central station and join on a smaller one.
I am disappointed by my experience and will update IF my final auction goes the same way.

Having seen the Seatfrog app I…
Having seen the Seatfrog app I mentioned it to my niece and her partner who used it and got an upgrade. What I would like to know is were they privy to a First Class service as they were refused tea, coffee etc whilst in first class seats. Their train was then terminated unexpectedly and first class seats were not allowed on the continued journey . I don’t know if these terms are in your small print but it might be a good idea if they were.

Mislead on Instant Upgrade Option
Mislead on Instant Upgrade for 1st class tickets from Birmingham to Reading.
We thought we were putting in a bid of £15 + £3 each for 2 guaranteed ticket upgrades (i.e. £36 total for 2 upgrades).
We were instantly charged £84!
Completely baffled and service team offered no explanation and refused to refund excess amount.

Misleading
I had an auction in mind for a few days time. The app said there were 7 seats available as instant wins, and I placed my opening bid for when the auction opened.
Later on I decided I’d rather solidify my plans and buy the ticket. The bid was still showing, 7 instant wins were still showing, I clcked the buy now button… and got a message to say they were unable to fulfil the order as no tickets were available. I did this for all trains on the day I wanted to travel. One by one, sold out. Previously all shown as starting soon.
The journeys I tried to buy an instant upgrade for are now showing as “unavailable” on the main page, so I’m guessing there will be no auction at all.
Is this not something they can check? I understand that it’s a busier time of year, and that if there’s no availability there’s no availability. But why do I need to commit to buying and enter credit card details before they bother to check if they actually have the product they say they’re selling?
