Incredible talk. I learnt a lot

What an amazing, interesting evening; I would highly recommend a Seed Talk.
I thoroughly enjoyed the talk and Q&A session, so Informative and witty. I realised I had already known some of the subject matter and am eager to reread the Irish folklore.
It was a little hard to see the screens from towards the back of the room so I have requested a copy of the presentation. My best advice is to get to the venue early to bag a good seat. You will thoroughly enjoy it.

This is the second seed talk I have been to and what a great way to spend an evening - intelligent people, stimulating but accessible content and like-minded people who are enthusiastic and further enthused by the subject. I have really enjoyed them and will book again.

Was a great informative and fun talk. Would definitely see more of these talks again.

The History of Folk Horror with Dr Joan Passey was absolutely brilliant. Dr Passey’s expertise in her subject is highly impressive and her delivery made this an extremely stimulating talk which posed many areas for further discussion and research. I think I’m right in saying that everyone was completely engaged and enjoyed the evening. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I really love the venue but one small issue was the seating which felt very cramped and like we were on top of each other. This made it a little uncomfortable at times but did not detract from the evening. Spacing the seats out a little would resolve this, I believe.

I wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised! All well organised and reasonably priced. I managed to get free parking nearby. Nicely introduced...felt like the person cared about us having a good event. Incredibly knowledgable speaker who was entertaining and informative. Learnt things about a subject I'm passionate about - as most of the audience was too so I think she pitched it just right! It got my brain moving on a Tuesday evening and I'll definitely check out other Seed Talks. Bar and snacks and loos available. Only negative was the chairs were uncomfy for such a long time sitting.

Very well organised and a wonderful atmosphere created. Excellent speaker and content. Well managed, timed and insightful Q&A (I don’t normally stay for those, but thoroughly enjoyed this one).

Really interesting talk on the Folk Horror genre delivered intelligently and with humour so as to make it accessible and not stuffily academic in tone - although we were in no doubt of the speaker’s expertise in the area. Fun and enjoyable!

I found the combination of disciplines ie archeology, linguistics, scientific analysis brought to life the world of the Mediterranean bronze age in an enthralling cascade of revelation and insight.
All done with humour and empathy for those who suffered.

Really interesting, wide-ranging and informative talk about Intergenerational Trauma. Knowledgeable speaker who grounded her lecture in research findings and literature on trauma as well as on her extensive clinical experience. Really useful CPD.

Great workshop and easy to understand session

Fabulous event in a wonderful, atmospheric venue. The organisation was great - inclusive and informative. The speaker was amazing. I'll definitely be attending another Seed Talk event. Highly recommended.

Dr Joanna Gilar was excellent. Her presentation was warm, funny, poignant and devestating. I gained loads of new books to read and authors to follow and ideas to contemplate.
