Our experience at Stratstone Silverlink
We collected our new 135i on Saturday from Stratstone at the Silverlink. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish with Louis. He is very professional and friendly and always went above and beyond for us. The car we purchased was inside the showroom and with the government restrictions we weren’t allowed to go inside to view it but Louis sent us a video and lots of photos of it which was a nice touch.
It was a seamless process from start to finish and we were very impressed. 10 out of 10 from us!

CHESTERFIELD** TERRIBLE AFTER SALES CARE DO NOT…
TERRIBLE AFTER SALES CARE DO NOT PURCHASE.
Purchased a car, sales process was faultless, Ellie was amazing.
Unfortunately the car had some damage/fault which took sometime to get confirmed who would be resolving this.
Since then the level of customer care has been appalling, people do not take calls, no one respondes to emails. As a customer im having to chase up the issues and responses showing there is no after sales care what so ever.
The new alloy wheel is on back order for 1 month meaning im unable to drive my new car. While I have been given a hire car i even had to push and chase for this as it was only me advising i would be forwarding the invoice over that they actually sourced me one. The next problem is that its not anything like the car i have purchased and not even the same brand!
No offer of compensation or even an apology as of yet.
I would recommend purchasing from another retailer in the area.
Stratstone BMW Derby
Stratstone BMW Derby - great service after buying a car from Motorpoint, aftercare was much better with Stratstone than Motorpoint!
BMW Stratstone Leeds is the worst…
BMW Stratstone Leeds is the worst dealerships I’ve ever been to.
Sales staff was rude, rushed us to buy a BMW. Outright lied about agreement. The sales manager at the time was the same. Vehicle had issues and we were told to make almost £200 worth of servicing repairs to the car after a week of having it!
These people are crooks. Stay away. I should have listened to the reviews on this page
BMW Chesterfield
BMW 4 series convertible developed water collecting in the panel below the quarter light rear window to such an extent you could hear it sloshing around. Car was under warranty so took for an agreed date for a repair, the 'repair' has not stopped the water getting into the panel but has ensured it now drains out. No re-fixing of the window seals despite being told this would happen, messages and emails sent for someone to contact me and nothing. I have never written a review in my life but after seeing other negative reviews from others there is obviously a common theme with this branch, if you can avoid then avoid.
Stratstone Doncaster
Extremely straight forward and pleasant.
The whole experience, except for car collection was conducted remotely. Generally you would expect this to be awkward and stressful, This wasn't the case doing business with Marc Potter.
I had no previous dealings with Stratstone BMW, I contacted Marc out of the blue after seeing they had the car I wanted in stock. From the beginning communication with Marc was pleasant, honest and straight forward.
Future bmws purchased will be from Marc at Stratstone, Despite his dealership being 200+ from my local dealerships.
When purchasing my new car there were many covid lockdown changes. Being in Scotland this made collection of the car complicated.
Marc Potter was extremely accommodating, even waiting after hours for my delayed arrival.
Marc also stayed in touch after our business concluded, making sure I arrived home safely and to find out if I was enjoying the car.
He also helped arrange some last details for me once home, Which I really appreciated.
Thank you.
Dreadful head of sales and after care
I got a car from this brunch for my wife's birthday, and while the service received from Stephen who was the point of contact for the purchase of the vehicle was smooth and helpful, the after care and conversation I had with the head of sale manager was dreadful to say the list.
The car had start and stop function battery fault prior to purchasing it, which I was told it would be done before it was delivered. Being a customer with BMW for many years I didn't doubt this. Once delivered, the start stop functions was not working and tyre wire was showing on one of the tyre after I took it to my usual local BMW Bowker BMW for heath check. They confirmed battery was faulty which needed changing, and tyre also needed to be changed. I sent this report to Leeds and had more of accusation from the head of sales who was extremely rude, lacked insight of the issues, and blamed the fault and inconvenience on us for now coming to them first. This manager even went on to say, other dealership ( the like of BMW franchise) may advise unnecessary work to get money. This was shocking to hear from another BMW dealership especially when they share the same work values and protocols. I have known by BMW Bowkers for many years and it was saddening to hear this comment about them.
Eventually Leeds BMW agreed to pay for the battery and tyre after three days of no car.
The cars start stop also now works properly after work carried out at BMW BOWKERS.
Overall, the head of sale manager, really need to reflect on his manners and the language he used during our conversation. Definitely not what expected from a person at this senior level! Words like ' you are throwing my offers in my face' , and ' there is no way a car would be released with that condition', you can't return car because it's foggy ' etc... Really bad attitude. What he should have done was trust the report completed from the other BMW dealership and discuss this with them directly and then find out what happened internally. Even Bowker BMW were shocked.
This sales manager initially didn't even want to call the other BMW to discuss the issues advising it's not his area of expertise, and I had to do all the back and forth communication until at the end when he spoke to them directly.
I would definitely would not recommend this franchise
Poor quality service and clean. Shame.
After paying by no means a small sum of £354 for my oil change, my BMW was returned in a suboptimally clean condition. Having previously had my car serviced at Barons Court, Kentish Town where the car returned to me with a new lease of life, softening the blow of the cost, at Stratatone Leeds I was left disappointed. The car remained significantly dirty both inside and out and had quite clearly not been offered the same TLC and high standard I expect of BMW. Despite complaining politely that it had not been cleaned it did a second “going over” however somehow came back quite literally the same as before. Highly disappointed.
Disappointed
Booked my M2 Competition in for a service on Monday, collection was the following day on leaving the dealership I noted stop - start had been activated whilst previously it always remembered the last setting so now it cuts out whenever you stop and does not remember that last setting, later that day I call Stratstone BMW Derby and was told by service department someone would call me back after speaking to a technician, that never happened, I call again Wednesday 11th to be told someone will call me back, Guess what ! No one did and as of yet no one has called me.
A premium brand but certainly not a premium service.
Stratstone BMW Chesterfield

After reading all the poor reviews, I would HIGHLY recommend everyone use BMW Stratstone Chesterfied, Amazing car sale customer service 10 out of 10, I would give these guys more than 5 stars if I could especially Ben (sales man) & Barry (sales manager), I went to buy a x5 2019 plate, these guys looked after us, they were very open and transparent about all there offering and provided a good deal, there customer service skills were FANTASTIC! I will definitely be buying all my cars of these 2.
Thank you Luke
Big thank you to mr. Luke Wilkinson, very nice, friendly, helpful salesman. From the beginning my finance has been declining but Luke found time to explain to me everything, but after finance has been accepted and I bought bmw 2 active tourer. He explained in detail everything to me, and also he answered all my questions. I am proud that I bought from you car. Many thanks Jakub
Non existent after sales service
Non existent after sales service. Bought an X3 from Stratstone on 31st of July, was meant to pick it up 1st of August but at told at 5pm on the 31st that it had failed MOT. Arranged to go pick up the car on the 5th of August instead as a result. Stratstone said they would cover our car hire fee due to the failed MOT and losing out on money renting the 1st car on the 31st. Have only just been paid for the full bill of the car hire on 24th of September - well over a month later. Had to chase salesman multiple times a week for 6 weeks to finally get a response albeit not from him. Received the V5 in the wrong name and am still waiting for the corrected V5..
Have to constantly chase salesmen to get any answers even though I get the usual "I'll have a response by X".
Won't ever be dealing with Stratstone again as it has just been 1 problem after another and still not technically finished yet.
BMW SAFETY RECALL
BMW SAFETY RECALL
Having received a letter from BMW that I needed to have my X1 checked and if required replace the EGR cooler
I booked an appointment at Statstones Harrogate and explained that there was a recent juddering sensation when accelerating
After leaving the vehicle I got a telephone call to inform me that the juddering problem was nothing to do with the callback I was told that a computer based diagnostic check was needed costing £144 for a 1hour process
I would be charged pro-rata for the actual time taken for the fault to appear on the diagnostic check
I subsequently got a telephone call explaining that the fault had been identified as the EGR valve which needed replacement
A further telephone call explained to me that they had the part in stock and the repair would cost £318 which included 20 minutes of the diagnostic check
In collecting the car a payment of £420 was demanded which included the full cost of the diagnostic check
I then had great difficulty getting the correct bill with a lack lustre approach to my dilemma
My original experience with Tori was excellent but it deteriorated drastically when I went to collect my vehicle
After 3 consecutive new vehicles and their servicing with Stratstones this is terminal - regrettably I shall not use them again

Took my son to test a BMW M2 today
Took my son to test a BMW M2 today. After searching stock and booking an appointment today, at DERBY we turned up and was greeted by a salesperson, who asked our details and looked confused why we were there. Sat waiting for over one hour. No one bothered to come over or tell us what’s happening. Wasted over 2 hours not see a car. Well done derby! NOT
Avoid Stratstone BMW Leeds disappointing service
Please avoid or you will be disappointed with the after care service and the service in general.
Once again Stratstone BMW have not failed to disappoint again. Premium brand marque not premium service. I had a drive train error come up on the dash of my car (335d Xdrive) and some oil on my drive, so I called Stratstone BMW Leeds they took ages to answer the phone, I told them of my problem and that it was urgent just to get it in and have someone look at it, they proceeded to tell me that they had no slots until the end of the month (over 2 weeks away). I spent nearly £35,000 with them on this car I have a BMW insured warranty and this is the second time I have needed someone to look at & diagnose my car because I had a serious problem. Thank fully Coopers BMW York came to my rescue again, they said bring the car in the next day and we will take a look, which i did, they had to order the parts over night and gave the the car back the next day.
!!!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Only giving it 1 star because i cannot leave none!!! HOW HAS MAT THE SERVICE MANAGER NOT BEEN SACKED YET!? CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHOCKING 8 MONTHS WAITING TO BE GIVEN THE WRONG DIAGNOSIS! TRYING TO CHARGE ME £3.5k + (i have full extended warranty)
Avoid at all costs just go to tamworth Bmw dealer instead !!
New 2020 BMW 1 Series Lies
On purchasing the new 2020 BMW 1 Series, we made it very clear from the outset we needed Run-Flat Tyres and were promised this by the salesman at the point of sale. When test driving the car and looking through the boot we even asked, ‘where is the spare wheel?’ To which the reply was you don’t need one with run-flat tyres... Not being car geeks we did not understand the concept of run-flat technology until later on.
This, as I say, was incredibly important to us as we tend to do considerable miles on the motorway and the need for not replacing a tire at the road side was outlined as absolutely critical.
We were assured these were ‘standard’ on all BMW models and because we were upgrading to the M-Sport model they were certainly a ‘given’ in any event. We now know our car was not fitted with run flats having received a puncture on the M1 and not being able to complete our journey safely to the nearest garage.
We found this to be odd so questioned a separate BMW dealer in Nottingham who again, assured us that all BMW’s including the 2020 1 Series M-Sport model were fitted as standard.
The irony of this is we in any event drove to the nearest tyre centre (which in hindsight should never have done) where the technician outlined the tyres we had on our car were not run-flats and by driving on a conventional flat tyre could in any case damage the wheels rim. The technical also made it clear he found it odd as from his experience of fitting tyres, all BMWS had run-flats as standard. If we had already known this we would never have driven on the flat and called breakdown assistance.
We contacted BMW Stratstone Derby to be informed by a different sales person that they were not standard and should never have driven on a flat tire at all which slightly contradicts the concept of run-flat tyres, which we thought and were promised we had on our car.
To say we are disappointed with BMW and stratstone Derby in particular is an understatement and would opt never to do business with them again. This is further added at being left to fork out a considerable amount of money on a tyre we could’ve sourced from a different retailer had we been provided with a run-flat we were promised in the very first instance. The entire experience we’ve had right from the minute go has been well below par I am sorry to say.
Stratstone hull avoid very poor…
Stratstone hull avoid very poor customer service 😡. Took my bmw in for its first service left the car for the day after phone call to say it was ready on return found a big scuff/scrape on the drivers side rear bumper, which 100% was not there before, I was really shocked when pointed it out to the member off staff she went and spoke to the service team and valeting team, which all denied knowing anything about and states it was there before hand.asking to speak to a manager he looked and came back with the conclusion this is too high up to be done by another car and refused to take responsibility. I asked to look at cctv, he refused and stated he cannot do that. I was really fuming with the the attitude lack off customer care, when I stated not even a apology I was then told from the female sales assistant “ why would we apologise for something that wasn’t our fault “. Rude poor customer service would never buy from them again, passed me the payment card reader to pay my bill and shrugged us off !!!
