What a customer service at Bmw Stratstone Derby !!! Found a car, spoke to the guy from the garage to find more info about it on Sunday. I than had a call back on tuesday as I showed my interest via the website and have booked appointment to view and to test drive a car for thursday. Booked day off from work ( Derby is 60miles from Leeds and 1.5h drive) took wife and 2 year old baby boy and went all excited. When arrived I have been waiting 10minutes in reception before someone realised I was there and further 20minutes in the waiting area. Than this ‘feel less’ guy cam and grabbed me to tell me that car is not at the branch as they are rebuilding the place and we will have to wait a bit longer. But actually after about a minute he informed us that car was reserved and after further 3 minutes that it was actually sold to someone else. You what !!! Both myself and wife thought this was some sort of a bad joke. The guy didn’t even care. He was like not sure who you spoke to over the phone ( well check it you mor..n !!!) but he should have checked it and let you know. Im telling you all the reviews about this place are correct. This place puts a shame on BMW brand and should have been shut down. Jokers !!!

Absolutely awful service from Stratstone Derby.

Visited the showroom on the 4th June and placed an order for a new car. They had the exact same spec car in the showroom but told me they couldn’t sell this one so had to place an order. Did that and was told I’d get the spec sheet sent over before the end of the day.
Nothing arrived so I called on the Saturday and a manager was surprised that a pre finance check hadn’t been completed. He did this and said he’d get the spec sent over by the end of the day. Still nothing.

I sent an email on the following Tuesday as still not even received the spec sheet of yeh car ordered. They replied on the Wednesday and said it would be done that day. Surprise surprise - nothing.

Called numerous times on the Thursday and was told I’d get a call back - no one called back.

I called again on the Friday and spoke with the business manager who said he’d speak to the salesman and would call me back. Again, nothing back.

I called on the Saturday to cancel the order as I’d still not even got the spec of the car sent over. The business manager then suddenly offered the car that was in the showroom for about £50 less per month. I asked how this was even possible as this was not an option last week and was told - ‘Well you’re speaking with someone different this time.’

Shocked that this was even said as surely the service should be the same no matter who you deal with.

I continued to request the refund and was told it would be done and they’d email to confirm. No surprises that I didn’t get an email or confirmation and had to continue chasing this the following week.

Would not go anywhere near Stratstone Derby. Great at getting you to buy a car then suddenly disappear as soon as you’ve paid.

Ordered brand new car in March..finally arrived last week. Day before collection stratstone Chesterfield called to say there was a "problem" and that I could not collect my car as it had been damaged in the bodyshop. It would need a new bumper and painting Totally unacceptable so refused to accept the car. They did offer to get another car remove its bumper and put it on my new car. I was informed damage was minimal the day after when I had to phone them however needed the bumper repainting, very cagey about what damage they had done. I asked for photos to be sent to me to see what damage actually had been done. This request was refused (ignored). They only contact you if you contact them and then its via email, when really due to the situation communication via email was not really appropriate in this case. Once they have the deal done they have very little interest in you. A previous car I ordered was also damaged but this was minor. This would have been my 3rd car from Stratstone Chesterfield. Iam now waiting a full refund of the money I have paid them. Iam also out of pocket after having to pay the admin fees due to changing insurance twice.

do not even recommend this place at all, I took my car in as it was getting recalled, but it came out in worse condition! There was absolutely nothing wrong with the car as my vehicle health check came back clear, and it’s been really well looked after and upon getting my car back I’ve noticed that lots of lights are flashing up on my dash board? Also my wheels were well out of alignment as the car was badly pulling to the right also there were bolts missing from the wiring harness, I phoned them back up twice to let them know about these issues and telling them that there were no lights on the dash and my wheels were perfectly straight before going, so I spoke to a woman named Victoria who was very snobby making comments that I took a courtesy car when it was required as I have kids! and you had my car for 5 days! She was also very argumentative, I also asked where is the proof that my car had major faults which it didn’t, and she couldn’t give me anything saying that they don’t provide a customer with any copy, well why not? baring in mind all of my safety checks were all green (meaning good). I just hope that your bad attitude towards customers takes you a long way VICTORA, STRATSTONE LEEDS!

Definitely one of the most efficient lady at the front desk I have come across managed to help me on Saturday. She approached me in a very professional and polite manner, laughed along, took the main details she had to, and made sure I was seen to.

Very poor customer service was enquiring to buy a car not look at it the guy told me they fixed prices. 2days later price drops 500 spoke to some else 2days later they said will call back no reply these lot are complete waste timers.

Phillips dealt with me and I found him to be respectful, courteous, and really helpful. He answered all my questions.His customer service was first class.

Falsely advertising low priced cars that are not available in order to get new customer details to try and then sell them a car they don't want is disgusting behavior more akin to the 90's than now. As a key worker my time is limited to find a new car and you have completely wasted it. Even today as I write this review the so called car is still advertised for sale even though I was told over 2 weeks ago it was sold. Do NOT send me any more emails trying to sell me cars I do not want.

So they regard customer experiences as a complete joke? When will BMW UK take note and do something about this utter garbage?

Went to pick up our new M4 unfortunately it was not ready due to works not being carried out, Nathan (manager) could not of been more helpful providing us with a vehicle to use whilst awaiting our repairs, the service was above & beyond expectation. Will definitely return when we exchange again.

After purchasing two previous BMW’s from Sandal Huddersfield and Halliwell Jones (North Wales) I received excellent customer service that I’d come to expect from a BMW main dealer. Upon contacting Statstone Doncaster regarding an interest in one of its used (delivery mileage) cars I was told that all the sale people were busy and that they’d ring me back. 5 hours later they did eventually return my call but I was told the car had a holding deposit on it and that another customer was viewing it later that day. They said that they’d ring me back the next day to let me know either way. Needless to say that I didn’t receive a call and after sending a further email via the Auto Trader app to them I still haven’t had any contact a week later. The vehicle is still showing as available “for sale” on their own web site and also on the Auto Traders! Do these people want to sell any cars???

After owning a bmw for over 20 years with impeccable service from bmw decided to buy from Stratstone Hull this garage doesn’t reflect the standards I’m use to with BMW I shall never purchase from them again .

I booked an enquiry to see and test drive a particular car. The branch called me to confirm my visit and have the car ready for me to drive. I turned up, took it for a drive, decided to buy the car, signed all the paper work/finance agreement, left a £500 deposit...to then be told another branch had already bought the car so I couldn’t have it. Two hours of my time wasted and £500 down for four days and nothing to show for it.

Terrible customer service.
Non existent customer service, that was once so good.
I have been a loyal customer since 2005 but no longer.
The car will be serviced elsewhere and the new car that I enquired about will be purchased elsewhere, if l stay with Bmw after this terrible treatment.
AVOID
It does seem strange that only the good reviews are published on the Stratstone Hull site and not the negative one l left, more distrust of this awful place!

Booked a car in for a recall and j was told I will be getting a courtesy car. Went there only yo be told they can't offer courtesy car. And the only thing they can do is reschedule or leave with them for a day. This is my only means of transport and can't work without it. The lady I spoke to was very rude and I felt that she couldn't care less. Stratstone Derby is a joke! Never again am I buying a BMW

Purchased probably my 16 BMW after having my Mercedes for the last 6 years and on Thursday 25/03/2021 popped into the Doncaster branch to speak to the service Advisor about a Tyre pressure warning sensor module on my 335 x Drive , he was polite enough but thats where it ended after asking about the price for the module he explained they were £350 plus fitting and diagnostics plus labour amounting to roughly £600 he said he new this because they were doing one as we spoke right now in the workshop It turns out after going to Sandal BMW Wakefield the module was £60 I fitted it my self in 40 minutes and you wonder why these places have such a reputation for Ripping you off BMW Well I would avoid the service advisor like the plague he obviously knows nothing about the job I would say the Parts people are very good and was well greeted by the Lady on reception a real shame the service advisor would be better suited considering other lines of employment.

I purchased a 530d BMW in September 2020. I asked for a quote for the servicing package at the time of purchase. I emailed many more times, no reply. My service is due in 1200 miles. I phoned BMW who said to purchase this package i would need to pay £650 upfront and then £33 a month. For a service it is £360, I enquired with specialist BMW garages and was quoted £160 plus vat. But unfortunately I have to use a BMW dealership for the service. Intersting to know what extra I will receive in my service from BMW and why they never replied to my emails regarding a service package.

Having previously purchased cars from Stratstone Doncaster with no issues it is a real shame I have to write this review but something has gone drastically wrong at this dealership. Made an enquiry about a mobility car for my elderly neighbour and was dealt with by Luke. He was friendly and helpful but everyone else around him needs a good shake up and lessons in customer care. Once the initial deposit to secure the car was made there was no contact, no updates and no progress reports until we chased the dealer. They assured all was in order and the matter was progressing we just needed to fill in some paperwork. Okay, well send us it then. They never did, must be difficult to attach a pdf to an email!!!!! Then 24 hours later a call was received saying the car was no longer available and it had been removed from the motorbility scheme. They could offer an alternative but it would be about 4 months. I know things can change but had we not chased it when would they have told us. Luke tried to explain it was a BMW production and specification issue but surely the production line runs cycles of such length that they knew when the original order was made a few weeks before (if it ever was) it would have flagged up specification issues then. Overall the whole process was very disappointing and the level of care shown towards an elderly gentleman trying to purchase a car was anything but premium. In fact it was very poor and despite this being my local dealer I would have to seriously consider whether or not I would visit Stratstone Doncaster again.

(Update) been waiting 3weeks now for paint stick and wiper blades that I was told will be posted next day. The sales guy also told me that most of the sales agents don't bother talking to customers once cars been sold. My sales guy also messed up my DD with DVLA Road Tax, you would think they knew what they were doing. This company are actually worse than Arnold Clark, which I thought wasn't possible, but these clowns have proved me wrong.
You would expect a car to be valeted before being sent to you especially during these times. Found long pet hairs in the back seats, interior of all windows are dirty and wiper blades need replacing.
Makes me wonder what else needs done.

Superb customer service when taking my car for its service!! Matt was so lovely and couldn’t do enough to help me!
