I’d like to give Waggel the highest rating. Even though I had to wait a while—which is understandable given the high volume of claims—the team is always helpful and responds quickly. I recommend them.

Worst insurance pet company ever. Reasons why to not take out insurance with them:
1. They can take months to process claims
2. Their website is not easy to understand or use
3. They do everything they can to not pay for claims
4. Absolute waste of money

Premium going up by 50% without single claim or changes in circumstances with the person on the phone telling me about increased price of petrol, feel very incompetent and don’t have any explanation.

Queries were answered promptly through different avenues to correspond. Friendly and professional staff.

Very helpful at a very hard time

It took a long time to settle my claim this time due to high volume of claims. I hope there are more staff on now to process the claims. Normally they are great and settle claims quickly and efficiently. It has just been this time I felt let down by such a long wait.

The system was quick and well explained details about the service.

My dog became ill. I went through the triage vets every time prior to visiting the vet, which was most days. Triage is such a great service. They advised I visited the vets every time as my dog was getting worse. Thankfully my dog got better after numerous visits to the vet, an abundance of tablets and various vet bills.
When I put in the claim; they did say there were higher volume of claims at the moment. I waited exactly 4 weeks and now received email confirmation that I’m getting my money back minus my excess. Delighted with Waggel.

Very helpful insurance company. Always found the agents to be helpful, friendly and compassionate. Claims were always accepted and processed in a timely manner. The Joii online vet care was also incredibly useful and the vets were compassionate and informative. Would use this company again if I got another pet.

Final outcome satisfactory - however took some to-ing and fro-ing in regards to the claim being accepted. Typical Insurance company.

I recently had to make the first-ever insurance claim for my 27-month-old Irish Setter, who was very poorly with Haemorrhagic Gastroenteritis. Thankfully, he has made a full recovery, and all of his blood and stool tests have come back completely normal.
The customer service throughout this stressful time has been outstanding. On 11th September, my son spoke with a wonderful lady (whose name we unfortunately didn't catch) who was incredibly helpful, polite, professional, and patient. I then called on Thursday 17th September and spoke with Stacey, who was equally courteous and polite.
I called because I wanted to increase our coverage from £1,000 to £3,000. Stacey kindly explained that because Waggel is a digitally-driven provider, customer service agents don't have manual overrides to change system-generated algorithms or policy limits beyond what the system calculates. While I wish I had known this before his renewal on 1st October 2025 so I could have adjusted it to £2,000 then, I completely understand and appreciate the transparency.
This was our first claim, and god willing, it will be our last! I am incredibly grateful for the support we received and would absolutely recommend Waggel to my friends and family👍
