The item was as described and delivered within the prescribed time although was heavily in back-order. After reading the reviews, I never expected to get the product. Their camera quality, wide collection with vintage products and newer Sony mirrorless is an excellent distinction. Would buy again with no trouble.

Excellent product & excellent service
I recently purchased a new Canon EOS camera, BG-E20 battery grip, speedlite 430 Ex-111-RT, and EF 24-70 lens with extended warranty!!
Prices are fair, I received the products within 3 days. I was very satisfied with the product & the service.

They definitely do a bait and switch, and I am ashamed to say I fell for it. Do not believe the price on the website. You will place the order and then get a call asking if you meant to purchase the EU version, and the US version is $xxx more money. The camera is probably fine, but I feel like I was ripped off. I should have done more research on the company.

Absolutely unethical. They bait and switch and overcharge without telling you.

If I could give negative stars, I would definitely do so! They are using bait and switch tactics to steal people's hard-earned money! BUYER BEWARE! I ordered a Nikon D780 from them. No where in the description does it state the camera was the European/International version. They called me and said I ordered the European version and it would be extra money to cancel my order, OR they could sell me the USA version for an additional $700! I had to go through the hassle of canceling my card and all that goes with that. I would never use their website again.

They did the bait and switch to me. They lied and said the lense i bought had a plastic mounting ring and if I wanted an original it would cost significantly more. I give it two stars because they didn't give me a hard time canceling.

Minors 1 points: Placed order but got a call from them and was told the price is EU version and cannot use in U.S. , and extra $400 is needed to get a U.S. version … asking for canceling was denied with some fee to be charged … had to go with the $400 option

Minors 2 points: paid $99 for extra battery but it turned out not genuine version dying fast (found a genuine one from Amazon $79 later, $99 original with $20 discount)

So far the camcorder works well so still keep 2 stars

So I called willoughby's camera about a question on a Canon r7 that I purchased the idiot that answered the phone told me he could sell me the information but was not willing to help in any way shape or form so I called the different camera shop that I also did not purchase anything from and they were more than glad to help me with a very simple problem that this joke couldn't handle he wanted to sell it to me given the fact that they have a 1.4 star review tells me buyer beware do not buy from these people they won't answer any questions not to mention the guy is a foreigner to be honest I think that's the case here yeah they have cheaper camera equipment but is it really worth the hassle messing with people that don't even want to help with a simple question I would not purchase so much as an SD card from these people I wouldn't even give him a Penny In their donation jar pardon my French but the person I spoke with wasn't willing to help at all told me to call Cannon that's pretty pathetic for a photography shop I thought we were all as one. The other camera shop was more than glad to answer my question no problems no attitude didn't tell me to call Cannon told me what I needed to do yeah their prices are cheaper there's probably a good reason behind that I doubt they back there warranties I doubt they'll give you any assistance once purchased after all they have a 1.4 star rating you don't get that by being a good shop only shop here if you don't care about your money and time!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered two different cameras a week apart. They claim they are in stock and are priced hundreds less than other stores. When you inquire about shipping, you are told the cameras are import versions. If you want a USA version, it is $400.00 more. The one camera was abled to be registered, but the orther was not. The camera without the warranty supposedly comes with a third party 3 year warranty. I was scammed, but fortunately the cameras came with serial numbers and work.
These people actually sleep at night. How I don't know considering they are CROOKS!
They are fortunate they have not had someone freak out at them. Someday, someone will.
I allowed myself to be in this position by not doing research on them. Shame on me.

Would do zero stars if possible. Similar to other reviewers, I'd ordered online a camera (Nikon Coolpix P1100 camera; same price as listed on other sites such as Adorama and B&H Photo, but those other sites were currently out of stock). The day after my order was placed, I too received a text from Jeremy telling me that the model I'd ordered was for Europe and not U.S. (note there is only one model of this camera visible on their website and NOTHING on the main page says anything about this being for Europe). He said that he had "1 U.S. model" left for $400 more. I'd initially agreed because I wanted the camera for an upcoming vacation. Then I did some more research online and bought the camera from a more reputable dealer (same as original price!) and canceled my order with Willoughby's. It's quite sad that a business that has been around as long as Willoughby's has sunk to these bait and switch tactics. Buyer beware!

I just bought a camera and canceled right away. Let me tell you EXACTLY what will happen to you if you decide to buy your camera here (read other reviews to understand this happens to everyone) These people run a bait and switch SCAM. The camera will appear in stock and ready to ship. When you buy it they will send you a message 1 or 2 days later saying that there is something they need to confirm with you before shipping the camera (Here starts the bait and switch SCAM) They will tell you that you bought the international version of the camera (That comes without wifi, bluetooth, and comes in chinese) They will offer to do the change from an international one to a domestic one. The price will increase or in some cases stay the same. If you decide to change it for a domestic one, they will change it for a highly USED one without telling you. The only way I found out is by asking the specifications of the camera over and over. Their end purpose is selling you a highly used and defective camera at the price of a new one. They will charge you a percentage of your payment as cancelation and restock fee. Ans in this way, they either make money by selling you a highly used camera as if it was new, or they make money with the cancelation and restock fee. Please... just stay away. Lets see what will happen with this business in 5 years building this reputation. We are not dumb we understand what you are trying to do. SCAM

Ordered a lens, Jeremy texted and emailed me saying that lens was a European lens and wanted to make sure that the camera I had was correct, I told him D750. He said there it is a domestic Nikon The D stands for Domestic he said, So after I upgraded to the one that was 400+ more to get the right one he ran my card immediately. He did not run the one I ordered the night before but waited to scam me for the other. FBI has been
notified and the bank card disputed and cancelled. This complaint is only the beginning. This Texan is just getting started.

Very bad business practice. They always put cheap prices on their website and said in stock ready to ship, but once you place the order, you will have to wait for several months and still never see the item that you orderred.

Bait and switch scam with x100vi. avoid at all costs

I'm disappointed in Willoughby's Camera Customer Service. The first lens came and the price on the invoice was what they said it would be but the total was around $700 higher. I'm trying to find out why. At first I thought it was because the first lens did not fit my Nikon and they sent me another lens which they said would be more money but it was dated before the exchange. Now after the exchange which they told me would be even more money, I wanted to register the lens I had purchased with the 7 year warranty but Willoughby's has not yet sent me an invoice with the exchange and updated purchase and therefore I can't register my lens for the warranty. It's 4:30 on a Friday afternoon and I can't get help. It's hard to contact them during work hours because of my work schedule. I'm currently very frustrated. I'm hoping I can get it worked out but at the moment I wish I'd stuck with B&H Photo - the tried and true. I'm still hopeful for resolution. I don't understand why there wouldn't be an invoice showing a credit for the returned item and the charge for the replacement item for both the lens and the warranty.

Add me to the list of people tricked by a bait-and-switch. Ordered a camera, was called and lied to about differences between the international and domestic versions, but foolishly agreed to their increased price, even though what they ended up delivering to me was in the wrong box, and I’m 99% sure is indeed the international version. I’ve emailed them asking for a refund of the difference in price. I’ll update this review if I hear back.

Purchased online a Canon lens at Willoughby's camera.
I got email confirming order....2 days later I call them to verify when item was shipping and they told me next morning.
The next morning I received an email stating item is on backorder and have to wait 4-6 weeks. The funny thing is I went to their website and item says "In stock ready to ship"!
What a Lie!!
So I called them and said I want to cancel my order, they said they would cancel my order. Now having to purchase from someone else.

This is a classical Bait and switch Operation....Many others have been burned from the same tactics from this seller from what I have read online, They even have a "F" rating from the BBB!
My best recommendation is
"STAY AWAY" from Willoughby's Camera!

the NY government should close this store, they make fun of people, look like behind this store cover up for something mysterious, I have all the evidence , i wished i live in NY to show the evidence

Ordered before looking at reddit reviews. After doing so I decided to call as it had been a couple days since I ordered. I purchased overnight shipping when I ordered. Sure enough when I called I was told the lens I ordered was an international Sony lens and wouldn't have a metal connection ring (impossible) and it would cost $300 more for the "American version" I requested an immediate cancellation.
