I downloaded Zap-map before taking delivery of my first EV, at a time when public charging infrastructure was patchy at best. The information it provided enabled me to undertake journeys, confident in the situational awareness of charge point availability, reliability and where to find local facilities.

More than seven years on, charging infrastructure has improved almost beyond recognition, the availability of related information has similarly improved and is readily visible as I drive. However, when planning a journey, Zap-map still tends to be the app that I check first. On a very recent journey through the Scottish Highlands, I used Zap-map to choose a charging site that I knew had a good cafe, check the availability of charge points (they had been upgraded significantly, also increased in number), and check recent users' experiences. Still very useful indeed, and the go-to app for many.

Reliable app to give me the confidence to plan charging stops ahead of journey.

Nine years with EVs and Zapmap is the go-to charger app. Easy to use and plan a longer journey through charger deserts.

Have been using Zapmap for years when out and about with my EV and have always found it invaluable.

I charge my car at home normally but if i need to charge away from home Zapmap is my go to app. Easy to use, gives me all the information i need. This charge was in Plymouth, i used my Zapmap card which worked first time. The carpark was free to use when i was there(bonus). The only thing that annoyed me is the fact that there are only two chargers there & there was a car at one charger not charging not even plugged in. The charger is about 10 mins walk from The Royal William Yard where there are plenty of places to eat & drink.

I have increased my review from 2 stars to 3. Zapmap did resolve my issue however required me as part of their resolution offered to edit/delete my previous review.

I increased from 2 to 3 stars because they did eventually resolve the issue but it wasn’t an easy thing to have resolved, plenty of to and fro with them.

Yes I will still use it but it no longer deserving of 4 stars or above.

Excellent app with the most up to date info on EV chargers, including chats from fellow EV owners on charging experiences. Handy for paying via ZapPay too.

I never go off on my travels without using Zapmap to plan my charging stops . As a CHAdeMO user I need to know what my options are and whether they are working .
I have the filters on to look at the different choices on my route and read the ‘chat’ . These comments tell me when it was used and might highlight possible issues plus where the charger might be . It’s quite difficult to find one particularly charger in a busy motorway services.
I now try to contribute to the ‘chat’ and add a photo as so many chargers look different . It’s relatively easy to do & so useful for those of us using it.
Zapmap is an invaluable tool for the travelling EV driver.

Zapmap is really easy to use and to find needed chargers especially during holiday when not used to the local area. It’s always my first choice when looking where to charge.

Decent lay out and q user friendly app. Not much to rate it against tbh but it doesn't show all the charging points do would help if it updated more accurately n regukarly. Sticking with it though.

Very easy to locate your nearest available quick charge while on road trips.

I've been driving EV's for over a decade now and Zap map is my trusted source for charging information. It is also always improving and if I had any grips it would be the users. As feedback is so important to other users, so photos & tips like good coffee or toilets is very welcome.

The app works well gives the information I need. The support staff are excellent too.

I used the Zapmap app to start a slow overnight charge at my hotel. Nice and easy to use. I could also monitor the progress and payment was seamless. Highly recommended for public charging.
