So much for valuing our NHS heroes...

I did the booking as normal then, before I clicked to pay, my other half Lisa said she would get a 5% discount because she works for the NHS. So she repeated the process via the correct portal on her phone ensuring everything was the same and.... got exactly the same price

Warning: 6 wheel policy not fit for purpose

Right, I have had a 6 Wheel policy with CN for six years. It was initially sold to me on the grounds it was more efficient and therefore economical. For the last four years I have called to renew and had to work hard to negotiate a reasonable premium. Last year I was unable to avoid a £100 increase. This year I faced a further £172 increase. As previously I searched online brokers and, this year, I received separate quotes for van and bike via Carole Nash for lower than the quote for 2023, i.e. more than £170 less than the 6 wheel policy renewal! After some discussion it was revealed that although CN is the broker, only ONE underwriter now provides a 6 wheel policy through them and therefore has monopolised that market. I feel that CN has let me and others down by simply regurgitating an uncompetitive 6 wheel renewal quote without suggesting it would be more economical to re-separate the two vehicles. A broker is supposed to work on the customers' behalf to find and / or negotiate the best price / service for the customers' requirements. CN has covertly been selling an unfit product.

What a difference two hours makes (three days in this case...)

When I originally tried to place the order @ 15:00 today I couldn't see how to add wheel alignment. So I rang F1 to ask but after waiting several minutes a recorded voice said there was no one to take my call and hung up. At that point the tyres were available for fitting on Saturday. So as I had to pass F1 today I called in to confirm wheel alignment was available. Which it was, so I tried to book it in. But those tyre prices were only available on line apparently. Now back home and ordered but now the tyres / service slot is not available until TUESDAY. This is an MOT issue. I am now deprived of my vehicle for a further THREE DAYS. Not happy.

Exped Versa 4Rs, w or w/o Schnozzels?

We ordered two Exped Versa 4R sleeping mats online from GO as they were the most competitive on price and also the only one who offered an inclusive Schnozzel Bag too. Unfortunately when the mats arrived they were deficient in the bag department. However, on contacting GO they were extremely helpful, explained that the website was in error and Schnozzels were not included but on this occasion they would honour the oversight and supplied two suitable alternative inflation bags by special delivery.

Our plumber was impressed

Our plumber said "Ooh! that must have cost a bob or two..." It didn't. Delivery was rapid too. Top marks. When we get round to swapping all other taps for mixers (with all this hand washing, we're seeing the benefit) we'll definitely be back to Tap Warehouse.

Good product but not easy to nail down.

As usual, the final policy (6 wheel) was very comprehensive and competitive. However, it took 50 minutes on the phone to get there. Discrepancies between the renewal paperwork received and what the CN operative was seeing at his end led to a number of debates and a general air of confusion and frustration. Despite this I will still favour CN next year in the round.

Surprisingly painless...

After having to claim for a garage break in just before Xmas (our first. Ever) we were naturally pensive coming renewal day but we were very pleasantly surprised. The documents, including details of the claim, were very straight forward and the premium very close to the last. Happy to continue to insure with Policy Expert.

Great product, poor system.

Great product at a great price (glue sticks) let down by a poor ordering system. Ordered online for collection in store. Computer says in stock and ready for collection but on arrival, no glue sticks, just an apology. Had to wait over the weekend and another visit to branch. Again, apologies but a wasted journey and frustrated weekend.

Beth was and is a star

Beth was and is a star! She coped incredibly well with our very late plans that ended up being even later in finalising due to an expired passport... As has been said to us before; we don't have holidays, we have adventures and Beth has certainly helped to lay the foundations for this one with tremendous effort and an apparent sense of calm that put us at our undeserved ease. Booking process

Booking process: Good.

A bit lacking in the post booking process with regards ferry resheduling due to bad weather (storm Brian). Luckily Irish Ferries picked up the slack and top marks to their updates.
