Absolutely disgusting I paid for GCSE biology and I can’t even access my account I’ve phoned , emailed WhatsApp and messenger no one has got back to me avoid this cowboy company

Paid for the course at the start of 2022 in full. The tutor was very helpful for the most part, but there were a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes in the text. There were several places where the information was wrong or confusing, but the tutor would correct that when I told him.
However, there was one section completely missing, which the tutor said he would sort out and never did.
Now, I'm trying to continue the course I have paid for, but I cannot access it at all, the phone goes to voicemail and my emails are sent back as spam.
Wish I'd gone elsewhere.

I have just been reading the recent reviews and I am also not getting a response from Kieron or any of the other Absorb Online Learning Staff. We have been using Absorb Online Learning for over a year now. 1 year and 58 days exactly, and it has been satisfactory. My son is a very autonomous learner so he did not use the tutors as much but the courses are good. We used the courses alongside the recommended key texts set by the exam body. So we are not completely reliant on Absorb because we knew the key texts which collates with the exam papers. However, I would have never signed up with Absorb if the exams, Kieron was selling, were not confirmed by my exam centre. Today, which is the 1st SEPTEMBER 2022 my son wanted to continue with his courses but all of his courses have vanished from the platform not one remains. Payment was received only 2 days ago. We have never missed a payment. I have been trying to get in contact with the staff but there has been no answer. Thankfully, we have all the relevant information we need in order to continue with his studies. I am already in communications with his examination provider and my son will take his exams next year in 2023. I believe Kieron has abandon the Absorb Online Learning Platform without letting any of his customers know. Because of this I would not recommend Absorb to anyone.

I started my IGCSE Maths course during the last round of lockdown. Initially I found the course met my needs and the tutors were friendly and helpful. However the online content was migrated to another platform and this left half the videos as dead-links and the content was completely jumbled with some aspects of the subject being tested without prior introduction. I battled to get a response or anyone willing to take accountability, the final port of call was an I.T tech who I had to relay all the problems for him to fix individually - with mixed results and ultimately no apology. I think the tutors when reachable are dedicated and will try to help but my overall experience was a very rocky one. In the end I cancelled the subscription and had to use BBC bitesize to get me to the exams.

Got a 5-GCSE course for my daughter, who is VERY bright and self-sufficient at 13. She has a psychologist and accountant in the house and so alongside English, Maths and Sciences we got her these courses on the home-school package, with the past papers, tutor support, everything that was available.
She dutifully got on with it and asked questions where necessary, of myself, of my husband, and when we weren't around, of her tutors.
It has been no end of struggle for her.
Pictures and diagrams won't load. When they do, they're plagiarised from somewhere else, which is cheeky considering how much I am paying for these courses! Answers to tests are consistently inconsistent with what is in the text. Questions in tests are often misworded, or Americanised so that they are INCORRECT!
She has flagged each one of these to tutors and had no response, or had a response saying it will be fixed, then gone back months later to revise and found it still not fixed.
She didn't get an accounting tutor until a few weeks ago, one tutor asked her to email their PERSONAL email address @gmail without first having had an email from my daughter, her tutors do not reply to her messages as of late, and previously when they did it took them a while. She is struggling in her lessons, she has been doing mocks for me, more to practice testing than the material, as she has dreadful anxiety about them since school; one of the reasons she left. I've tried contacting absorb but no one is answering emails, the website form or the telephone. I pay £92 a month which isn't cheap. By not helping her and by refusing to give tutor support, they are in breach of their contract, so I will be cancelling my direct debit.

I bet they would soon be in touch if I stop that, eh?!

I DO NOT recommend Absorb Online Learning, and will be looking into other places of education for my little one. I would rather pay more than have her sit and wait for email help.

IF they get in touch and offer a refund, very well, but this is all very shady!

This company does not answer emails, phone calls or anything at all. Please do not give them your money, or your time of the day, please look for better educational providers else where :)

Awful. I paid for tutor support, yet have been unable to contact any of my tutors. The courses are majority youtube videos, meaning they are basically just profiting off of someone else’s work, probably goes against copyright laws… I have tried emailing them several times, as well as calling them however have received no response on either. At this point I would rather them just delete my account and my access and cancel the direct debit.

For some reason my DD was cancelled, although my payment last month was successful. I’ve been trying to get hold of someone as to why this is the case, but getting no response from ANYONE I try calling and emailing, but NOBODY gets back to you! They were soon quick to take my money, but after sales service is appalling - I can’t even email my tutor, as there is an error message. I will REPORT this as THEFT to their local POLICE station if I hear nothing within the next few days.

I had ordered CIE board Computer Science A level online course from Absorb Learning. I was told that they have videos for each module. But it turned out the videos are from the popular youtubers that are available for free and those were for other boards like AQA/OCR (Though there's an overlap between the boards, I would not expect this from a paid service)
How could they "steal" from youtube and charge us a hefty course fee.

I asked for the refund within the 'terms and conditions' limits, it's been 4 weeks - they haven't refunded, nor answered my email or phone call

Complete ripoff, very disappointing and frustrating

The most overpriced useless A-Levels ever. Half the videos uploaded in the Maths course no longer work as they are imported from YouTube. The “tutors” are beyond incompetent and don’t seem to have any idea about exam boards or the subject itself. Lana the admin woman is incredibly rude. In the end I just forked out a lot of money for private tuition instead as this place was deplorable. Please save your money and find somewhere better, don’t make my mistake. I wasted £1000.

The course appears great so far. I think they need to include advice on when to study.

A great way to pursue study goals at a time and pace that suit individual preferences.

I had a lovely time studying 3 A levels with Absorb. They even helped me with UCAS.

Used to help support me through my a levels, would recommend for anyone looking to take their a levels or GCSEs, tutors very useful.

Bought two A Levels, one outright and the plan was to pay for the other in instalments as over £700 is a lot in one go. Sent an email stating this but still paid outright for two AND a moths instalment. Sent an email over a week ago and still haven’t been refunded. I’d avoid if truth be known.

Just want to say a huge thank you to absorb for turning a very stressful situation with mainstream school into a very exciting online service for my son, who has additional needs. He is so happy and flourishing thanks to Absorb online learning. Highly recommend.

Surprised to see so many complaints after recieving great service, t&C's were very clear and really enjoying the course. Would definitely recommend.
