Very pleased with the the service I received regarding my DPF the technician was thorough and knowledgeable. Although problem was not solved they found the problem and I will be booking my car with them again to fix the problem going forward. Great service.

Further to my review of this Company. Threats of court action!!!
Further to my review of this Company and "DPF Specialist". I have today received a letter threatening court action if I don't amend or remove my "One star review" (within 48 hours). I have also been instructed to "Cease and Desist" in sharing my negative personal experiences on social media etc. Also they don't like that I have written to the BBC "Watchdog" consumer affairs programme.
I am currently going down the "Consumer Credit Act" route as I paid using a credit card to attempt to receive some sort of refund.
Updates will follow.

The clean itself is fully documented - pre and post diagnostic readings, photographs, and a signed Vehicle Health Check confirm it was completed successfully. Three separate mechanical faults outside the scope of a DPF clean were identified on the day, written into your report and signed for.
DPF systems are complex; preventing re-blockage requires those underlying causes to be put right separately, which is why we record and explain them before leaving site. A £99 goodwill refund has already been processed for items not received. We offered a direct phone conversation with senior staff to resolve your concerns; this was declined.
A formal letter was issued on 4 May 2026 on behalf of the Directors, by email and Royal Mail Special Delivery. We do not issue correspondence of that kind in response to honest customer feedback, and we have never asked you to remove an opinion. The letter was issued specifically in response to wording you have publicly attributed to our website which does not match the published text - including material variation between two of your own posts of supposedly the same quotation - and a sustained pattern of correspondence our advisers considered required a formal response. All correspondence in this matter is documented and on file.
Auto Assist Group and DPF Specialist have carried out more than 30,000 successful DPF cleans. We welcome honest customer feedback and use it to improve our service. We will always respond fully and in good faith to any formal process - including Section 75 / chargeback enquiries or properly served legal correspondence. Our final position and the channel for any further engagement are set out in the 4 May letter. We will not be entering into further public correspondence here.
Very Poor after sales
Before you use this group ensure you read right into them, I had a DPF that was dealt with efficiently with a great engineer however when the issue reoccurred the after sales was severely lacking and at times I felt I was dealing with a dodgy car dealer, the warranty they give isn’t worth the paper it is written on, it’s been a long time since I had that level of poor aftercare, issues with my DPF werent explained to me fully until I wanted/needed some aftercare, the little gadget they give you to read your Engine Management isn’t worth the money they it is either.I personally would never use or recommend them again, very poor company to deal with😡😡

Declan from Autoassist/DPF Specialist superb Just let down by Payment assist
Declan the engineer came when expected and was friendly, very professional and completed the repair. He took time to explain what the issue was and offered further solutions for the future. I would highly recommend them in the future.
However I was offered payment assist to spread the load of a big bill and agreed and paid my initial deposit, but decided not to proceed with the full quote as it was not needed (full service). I contacted payment assist vis email asking them to cancel the credit agreement and refund the outstanding balance but this an only be done from DPS so I contacted them KAV response was they would do it and ensure contract would be cancelled and refund issued. I am concerned that this may effect my credit rating/contract remains in place and no refund is received we shall wait and see?

Great service and friendly staff. After DPF got sorted I took the car down the road and to say it's a vast improvement on performance would be an understatement.

Brilliant DPF specialist - Highly recommended
Had a great experience with Lewis today. My car had several exhaust codes and was running poorly, but Lewis was very interactive and took the time to explain everything. After a thorough DPF clean and clearing the fault codes, the car feels brand new. Really appreciate the help! If you have DPF trouble, DPF Specialist and Lewis is the man to see!
