From the moment I placed my order it all went down hill website states free mainland delivery I was charged even tho I live mainland Britain order was take then next day I’m advised it’s out of stock even though the item was still being advertised on there site for next day delivery! I am
Not offered a refund as an option even tho item out of stock I am then advised it will arrive end of Jan I placed order in November! January comes and goes no correspondence from customer service I continue to chase into Feb and ask for order to be cancelled I am finally offered a 20% refund and advised my order should come end of Feb I ask to be kept updated on the logistics of the delivery and I will accept the refund! Feb comes and goes no update from barstools I chase on 2nd of March as again still not had my 20% refund and no update results in me asking for full refund to then be told finally I can have the refund but it will take time to refund! I email back advising I wish to be refunded within 48 hours to ofcourse have no response Absolutely shocking service completely understand stock being stuck in transit but the whole experience from start to finish with this company was awful they are happy to take the money yet still waiting for a refund for items I paid for and ordered in November and if I hadn’t continued to chase would never of been updated on! Would not recommend to anyone! Customer service fell so short coming from a customer service day job I have never experience a service as bad as this!

We’re sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience. However, please see our response below for further clarification.

Firstly, with regard to the delivery charge, our website does offer free mainland delivery. However, certain postcodes in the far north of Scotland are sometimes automatically classified by courier systems as Highland or remote area postcodes, which can result in a delivery surcharge being applied. We believe this is why the charge was added in this instance, and we will certainly look into this further to ensure it is applied correctly.

With regards to the stock availability, the item was placed on pre-order at a discounted price, which you chose to proceed with. While we always aim to provide accurate delivery estimates, pre-order items can unfortunately experience delays that are outside of our control, particularly when shipments are delayed in transit.

At no point were you denied the option of a refund. When you later chose to cancel the order on 2nd March, your refund was processed the following day, which is in line with our normal procedures.

We fully appreciate that delays can be frustrating, and while the circumstances surrounding stock arrivals were outside of our control, we did process your cancellation and refund promptly once requested.

I wanted white bar stools

I wanted white bar stools - after seeing some that looked white on the website - I emailed twice and called twice to make it very clear I only wanted brilliant white not off white or cream..
They still sent cream out 6/02 -arrived 7/02 - the box said white but it was a horrid yucky yellow colour- plus horrible quality...I emailed and called the lady arranged with DPD to collect - parcel arrived back 11/02 no apologie for the inconvenience and then I had to chase my refund up after a week- then open a dispute with PayPal! So another company that likes sitting on other peoples money...just rude!
I would avoid ordering white barstools from this company ! Unless you're not bothered about the colour that turns up!

The reply below needs editing - you did Not refund in a timely manner -PayPal reviewed and refunded in full, I still have emails of prompting you to refund and making you well aware that i would review honestly.

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the item you received. However, we would like to clarify a few important points regarding your order.

The product you purchased is described and sold as white, which is exactly how the item is manufactured and supplied. Unfortunately, when it comes to furniture, it is not possible for us to guarantee that a product will perfectly match other furniture, units, or items that a customer may already own. Variations in shade can occur between different manufacturers and production batches, which is standard across the furniture industry.

With regards to the return, once you contacted us our team promptly arranged a DPD collection and the item was returned to us shortly afterwards. Your refund was then processed within the timeframe clearly outlined in our Terms & Conditions. Throughout this process our team remained polite, responsive, and worked to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

We describe the item simply as “white” rather than specifying shades such as “brilliant white” or “off-white”, as colour perception can vary from person to person and also depending on lighting (warm, cool, etc), surroundings, and screens used to view the product online. For this reason, we avoid using more subjective descriptions and instead use the general colour classification provided by the manufacturer.

Nevertheless, we did ensure the return and refund process was handled promptly and in line with our policies.

American diner stool

I have just received my new American diner stool for my kitchen. It's absolutely brilliant and looks amazing.
Having looked for weeks to find the right stool I'm so glad we found Barstools .co.uk

Bar stools arrived etc ok & look fab. Great value for money.

The delivery was when expected. So great. The barstools were packaged well & all items were correct & not damaged. They look great now they are assembled but the same screw out of each barstool keeps falling out (so 1 screw in each barstool) when i move them to clean underneath! Also the instructions to assemble were definately not the best & could be better, explained. Video shows 1 person assembling the stools & infact needed/required 2. So better instructions would help.Wanted to give this a 4 but instructions & iffy screw made it 3 star.Thank you.

Harlequin Bar Stools

Brought 4 orange harlequin bar stools. Very easy to order and arrived within two days. They were quite straightforward to assemble, 5 to minutes per assembly. At less than £250 for four, they are very good value for money. More importantly they look great, are stylish and comfortable and complement our newly renovated kitchen.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. I ordered the wrong coloured bar stool. A simple phone call is all it took to correct my order and the item arrived the next day. No hassle. Product as described.

Great stools and customer service

Great stools and customer service but what soured the whole experience was that after you couldn’t supply my first choice, I chose another stool which was delivered promptly and are great but I then had to chase and wait over two weeks for a refund on the difference in price of £160
