Title: Extremely Disappointed with BMW Customer Service
I recently had the displeasure of dealing with BMW’s customer service, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite raising a valid concern regarding the quality of the tires on my BMW vehicle, the response was not only dismissive but also reflected a complete lack of empathy.
Throughout the process, it became evident that BMW cares more about closing files than addressing genuine customer concerns. The final offer of a meager $400 off a new set of tires felt like a slap in the face, considering the premium price tag associated with their vehicles.
What’s more baffling is the false advertising surrounding their tire and wheel package. Despite investing in this supposed added protection, the response to wear and tear on tires with a mere 19,000 miles was shockingly indifferent.
It’s disheartening to realize that as a BMW customer, I am merely a number to them. The way they handled my issue makes it clear that the concept of customer satisfaction is nothing more than a marketing gimmick for BMW.
I had hoped for a resolution that reflected the luxury brand image they project, but instead, I was met with frustration and disappointment. Based on this appalling customer service experience, I’ve made the decision to steer clear of BMW in the future and explore alternatives that genuinely value their customers.
Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a luxury brand that prioritizes customer satisfaction over profit margins. BMW’s customer service is a letdown, and their handling of my concerns has left a lasting negative impression.

Disappointment doesn’t even begin to summarize my experience with the BMW dealership in Murray, Utah. The customer service when purchasing a BMW X5 was horrid. The deal was finalized, parties agreed on all conditions and a deposit made! Instead of finalizing the paperwork and completing the sale transaction, l was told they decided to prioritize and sell this car to an employee because they wanted it over giving it to a customer that has already solidified the purchase.
This was a horrible customer experience as this was a car I’ve been on the hunt for over a year, not a cheap purchase. Not sure if they disregarded me because of my accent and thought they could shuffle this to an employee without hesitation but I’ve never had such a disappointing experience.
How can a company stop the transaction with a customer just because an employee wanted it?
First time I found my dream car and was willing to do anything to get it and was dismissed and set aside. Spent time and prepping financials for this purchase. I do regret every second spend with BMW and have been left with a horrible feeling and taste in my mouth. This company has no right to take pride on their customer service as they do not value their customer in the least bit.

I never knew disappointment until I had to take my car in for maintenance. When I got my car back all my dash lights came on within a mile. Brought the car back (maybe 5 minutes later) and they blamed me...... They sent me a video going over my vehicle.....BUT sir your video doesnt show any dash lights were on.... Well thats because it was before you worked on my car. The time stamp is for 8 minutes after I dropped my car off. Maintenance does not take 8mins or you would have had me stay there and wait for it.

Another let down BMW owner. Bought a brand new 2023 i7 for the sticker price two months ago. So far its been in the shop for one of the two months I have owned it. Currently its in the shop for something they said was a quick fix. Almost two weeks into the repair I got a call stating that they dont know when the part will be in.... Are they still manufacturing this car? Of course! So why they wont sell the parts to the dealership makes not sense.

BMW USA Can't Manage Their Dealerships, Has No Influence
I had only problems with BMW as a company (and frankly, with their vehicle too, but that's a different story).
BMW USA is totally incapable of managing their dealerships, resulting in inability to address any problems consumers have at dealerships.
1) New car registration took the local dealership in NC over 2 months to complete, resulting in me getting a suspension notification from the DMV of NC saying I can't drive the car until it's registered. BMW USA refused to help in any way.
2) Another dealer that was buying my car two years later, took forever to close my leasing account (in NC only dealerships can do that, consumers are not able to send payments to leasing companies directly). The dealer simply won't send the odometer reading to BMW USA for currently over 3 weeks, and BMW USA refused to help in any way again.
DO NOT BUY BMW, they can't manage their dealerships.

It is an M8 XI Convertible..The sales manager at Bob Smith touted the resale value as one of the major selling points.
THE CAR HAD A STICKER OF $120,000.00. I recently decided that i would swap it for a competition coupe since we hardly ever use ca with the top down.
The best i could get for trade in from the dealer was $75,000. I tried other venues and was offered a few thousand more. The car is black with cream interior...2200 miles and like new.
I FIND IT OUTRAGEOUS THAT THE THE CAR HAS TAKEN A 40% WHIPPING IN ONE YEAR.
i SHOULD ADD THAT THE CAR IS VERY NICE BUT go buy a used one or prepare for a beating....................

Don’t ever ever order replacement keys from these scammers! I called to order a replacement key and they said the key is shipped with 24 hours after payment. I didn’t want to drive to the dealership, so I thought this would be more convenient. After making the payment of $300, they send an email stating the key is on back order for 25 days. I asked why this wasn’t checked before payment was received and they claimed they could refund me and someone will call me sometime next week. Unbelievable! Total waste of time! God knows when I will get the refund.

Two days back when she was trying to park at a slow speed but the vehicle accelerated and damaged the side and rear of the parked vehicle and front of BMU was damaged as well. Obviously, the front collision alert sensor and brake did not work. I reported it to BMU but no response. Never buy BMW again

Worst car-buying experience ever. If they have Zero star that would be fair on rating this dealership. Starting from salesmen, through managers, even higher admin positions, all work to pay their mortgages, not really enjoying what they are doing. Here’s just a hint of what happened to when I bought my BMW X6 2022 couple weeks ago, you can tell, it was total scam. Randy the salesman never sent me an invoice or VIN-specific warranty for the ceramic coating service. I visited local shop in oklahoma where I live, and the owner confirmed that my brand new car has no ceramic coating, and the dealership charged me 1200 $ was total scam. Total mess.
I am a physician, and I always have to change cars every few years, this was my first BMW, and worst car-buying experience whatsoever. Trang, one of the managers at that dealership is also extremely rude, unresponsive, and barely available to support the salesman Randy! Lack of professionalism, unreliable communication, and distrust are the main features of this dealership. Rauf Bilal or I may mis-spelled the name, he also is one of the managers at that dealership, when questioned, seemed like unaware of what’s going on in that dealership, and never showed any sincerity when dealing with customers. Please stay away from this mess. I am not sure if all BMW dealership have same attitude, but this should always be ranked the worst for sure. Never again.

Tried to order an i4M50 from Janelli at Herb Chambers BMW of Boston. She wouldn’t call me back. She made an appt to have a “conference call” at 5:30 that evening with me when I could order the car, but she never called. I tried multiple times over a few days. It was really disappointing for me because I was on vacation and I missed out on several family events to make sure I was available when Janelli finally called, but she never did. I emailed the manager—no reply. Never thought it would be so difficult to give away $80k. My wife was happy to wait the nine months for the i4M50 she really wanted. Instead, we bought a Tesla.

After driving 20 km near Bilbao, our five year old bmw X1 started pouring smoke, with no prior notice. Then fire broke out. We were lucky enough to escape, my wife, her 87 year old mother, and our dog.
We informed bmw-munich (customer dep) the car was just burnt steel, and asked for some help. The car had all its servicing done at bmw oficial points in Spain. It was an automatic, 150 HP diesel engine, four wheel drive.
BMW sent an engineer to analise the remains.
It was a faulty EGR ? particle filter? Turbo ?
Four months later bmw sent a polite letter, saying they had found no origin for the fire.
Not a cent to buy a new car.
You expect a better treatment from a premium firm like bmw, but it has been a very disapointing experience.
