Hi - This is a review for Wantage branch

I popped in today after my beloved but slightly overweight Labrador sat on my glasses. I showed the assistant who asked for 5 to 10 minutes and when I returned - hey presto they were perfect - as good as new!. He tested them and amazingly then cleaned them!
Just the service I would love to imagine across the board. Well done - Very pleased and I will definitely recommend you. I did check a few prices while I was waiting and I am 99% sure that they compare favourably with the other big brand optician in Wantage - who were 100% less accommodating. Sadly I did not get the assistants name (he) but it was 14th April around 11am!

The optician, Joy, was very thorough and clear throughout.

The staff were really helpful and gave great care to give me all the information I needed both during the test and when choosing the frames and the technical side of the prescription. Special mention should go to Raf who was really engaging and informative and also Dee who gave me plenty of time to sort out exactly what I needed and what was best for my situation. I was nervous about buying my first pair of glasses, and getting the right pair for me. I was trying some on, and Sami offered me really helpful advice on fit. With so many shapes and sizes, he helped me understand which ones worked best for my face. Uncertain the eye test I’d had elsewhere was accurate, Sami kindly called them to get further information and Lisa booked me to have my prescription checked where, after some swift and expertly handled tests by a lady (sorry, I didn’t note her name), Mohib offered such clear explanations and advice, putting me at ease. Lisa then took me through my purchase with such calm and care, and I left feeling excited instead of daunted about my new glasses.

When spending a lot of money, this kind of friendly and expert customer service is so important, and even better, it felt human rather than transactional. Thank you to everyone for such a great experience!

I visited Fareham Boots Optician on 11th April 2026 where I had booked an eye-test online.
I was dealt with promptly and given my prescription swiftly after the eye-test.
I was then introduced to a Consultant named Paula Barker who helpfully introduced the various ranges and advised me on suitability and quality as I was a little overwhelmed. I would like to compliment Paula Barker for her professionalism, patience and exceptional customer service. Paula was engaging and an absolute asset to your company and I was very pleased with my purchase. I would definitely recommend Boots Opticians as Paula Barker was an ambassador and credit to your brand.

Went on line to book an appointment with Boots opticians at Wallisdown rd Bournemouth got same day appointment, staff warm and very helpful, examination of my eyes, the ophthalmologist was reassuring and told me what the procedure was going to be and very friendly and professional.

Great information and advice given by Optician Andrea on 18 March 2026 and great help and advice given by Ellie on 18 March and 27 March 2026 in the store in Boots, Bangor, North Wales. I have been a customer of Boots Opticians for well over 30 years in 3 different stores, always had great service.

I had an eye test and eye health check and I planned to buy new glasses. I met four members of staff including the optometrist, Aizza and Anna and all were completely welcoming and professional and using top quality equipment.
Optometrist Aizza very clearly explained the machine readings and my eye health.
I did order new glasses.

What a brilliant outcome from my visit to Boots Opticians today. I had a couple of my glasses refitted as they had become loose. What luck that I could see Charlie who fitted them for me. He spent time re fitting, altering and explaining to me what he was doing to help. He even tightened up some screws on the pair I was wearing. He could not have been more helpful. What excellent service. Thank you Charlie.

We had a really positive experience at Boots Opticians in Gloucester yesterday. The service was professional yet friendly, and we felt well looked after throughout.

Avneet took the time to understand my medical history and gave clear, reassuring advice. Sudip was equally thorough in explaining the scans for my husband, and Jason supported us both with additional scans and helped guide our lens choices, including the benefit of varifocals.

Overall, a welcoming, knowledgeable team who provided an excellent service. Highly recommend.

The staff were very helpful, kind and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. From Muhona who did my eye test to Zoe who helped with my choice of glasses. It was first class service.

Your pushy sales isn't acceptable. Someone going in for a eye test should not be made to feel like they cannot just take the details and leave. Instead bring them out drop them in front of the glasses and talk to them about which they choose. My mum who's 60 felt pressured to buy glasses she cannot afford due to this approach. I would class it as abusing sales to vulnerable people!
