A confidence-giving experience.

The optometrist I saw, Lara, in Romsey, conducted her examinations in a refreshingly light, cheerful and humorous manner. She is clearly totally competent and her high level of interpersonal skill means she easily gauges and adopts the right manner to explain issues to each client. I came away with confidence about the way ahead for my eyesight and reassured by the clarity and fullness of her explanations.

Pleasant experience

I had a really positive experience at Boots Opticians Meadowhall during my recent contact lens check. Anna was absolutely brilliant — professional, friendly, and very thorough throughout the appointment. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable with my lenses, answering all my questions without rushing.

I went to boots opticians in St Albans…

I went to boots opticians in St Albans to see if I could have my glasses repaired. I was met by Maria who was incredibly helpful and said she could sort it out straight away. Within 5 minutes my glasses were fixed. I was incredibly grateful and wanted to thank Maria for being so kind and friendly and giving such brilliant service.

Boots Opticians Fosse Park…

Visited Boots Opticians Fosse Park Leicester today for help with my bifocals glasses.
I met with Gurpreet who was totally professional, very knowledgeable and so very helpful. I left the store feeling looked after and exceptionally happy that I had been listened to and that my problem had been resolved. Thank you Gurpreet for your truly professional service.

I had an excellent experience at Boots…

I had an excellent experience at Boots Opticians in St. Paul’s. I was assisted by Bhik, Aybuke, and Inade (the optometrist), and I couldn’t be more grateful for their care and professionalism.

As someone who has glaucoma, I needed to have my eye pressure checked, and they handled everything with great attention and expertise. They were incredibly kind, respectful, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process.

They took the time to explain everything clearly and gave me valuable guidance, which is very important for managing my condition. Their support truly made a difference in my care.

I highly recommend this team to anyone looking for professional and compassionate eye care.

Could not ask for a better service

I got a pair of glasses in January and they are too heavy, went back to boots to see what could be done said I could pick a new pair no problem at all

Mr Hasson was friendly and talked through the process clearly. I was probably his last client of the day with the appointment being 20:15. Hope he’s there in a couple of years for my next check up!

Prices on display are misleading

Prices on display are misleading, on average at the till the price nearly doubles for so-called “extras”. Price dripping for extras is deliberate by Boots.
Recommend go elsewhere, somewhere like Asda Opticians…the price you see is the price you pay

Staff rude and non engaging

Staff rude and non engaging. We were stood at the counter waiting to be served for approximately 10 minutes whilst one lady sat at the computer next to us and another walked past without giving us any acknowledgment at all.

The optician was ok.

Super friendly optician and staff as always. Prices are a little more expensive than elsewhere but you get what you pay for with great staff.

Contact Lens Reward Scheme disorganised

Yet again, contact lens reward scheme fails to deliver. Expecting my delivery last weekend, now rescheduled to next weekend - despite them raising the order over 2 weeks ago. I've been on this plan near 2 years and it is the same EVERY single time. I get offered an apology and a token gift voucher but nobody at all taking ANY responisibility for sorting this! Sorry Boots, I'm leaving!

An efficient eye appointment

Francis the Optometrist explained everything to me clearly and her manner was lovely.
Demi was so helpful and patient when I was choosing new frames.

My experience today was thoroughly enjoyable, with such friendly staff

Everything went wrong.

Everything went wrong.
Whilst the sight test was carried out professionally- ordering the glasses was a real problem.
I chose the glasses style and ordered a 2 pairs taking advantage of the offer.
I paid for the glasses using their Klarna to pay in instalments.
This proved to be a very slow process and involved a long wait as the assistant wasn’t aware of the process.
Eventually I paid and as arranged- 2 weeks later went to collect them .
( seemed a long wait to me)
I don’t live near the store (Fosse Park - Leicester) so it was a half hour drive.
On arriving at the store I was told that the glasses hadn’t been ordered as Klarna hadn’t worked.
I wasn’t told about this and wasted a return trip and 1.5 hours of my working day ( for which I wasn’t paid)
Unfortunately when they ordered the glasses again I was told that the frames were no longer produced.
As I was in a rush I subsequently made a rash decision on an alternative pair which I don’t like in retrospect.
They still couldn’t work out Klarna so having been offered a slight discount I agreed to the pair and they said they would work out Klarna when I collected the glasses ( 2nd trip which cost me money)
When I collected the glasses they said there was an issue with Klarna so reluctantly I agreed to pay in one hit- I don’t think I was offered the discount they promised - their receipt didn’t make any sense.
Having now had the glasses for a week - I’m not really satisfied with the frames and to my surprise , today I was contacted by Boots saying my glasses had arrived!
I explained I was wearing them as I spoke!
I probably won’t be using Boots Opticians again- overall it cost me too much time and their customer service is rubbish.
