They pre-approved me after a soft pull only to immediately deny me after, before i had even uploaded my docs. Completely wasted my time and wasted a hard inquiry on my credit.

Hard Check with no approval
Credit Karma recommended Caribou for refinancing. They told me that I was approved for a lower interest rate for 60 months.
Then Caribou called me and after doing a hard check the gave me a higher interest rate for a longer term. Either Credit Karma and/or Caribou is bating and switching their customers. I would have never allowed a hard credit check if that was the quote. Now I have to wait months for my credit to recover, to refinance to a trustworthy company.

They were with me every step of the way and linked me with a new lender that lowered my payment by over 300 bucks and split my interest rate in half. Excellent company.

Customer service is not good
Customer service is not good. Once you're loan is approved your pretty much on your own.
Update on my review, Customer service reached out to me and it was a very nice and helpful conservation. All in all I would still recommend them.

Overall great experience
Overall great experience. The rate didn't match the karma promise, but not much higher. Also the 45 day thing isnt quit true as im paying interest on the old loan waiting on it to pay, but overall better than my other experiences.

They don't respond on time, and they make mistakes in paperwork.
They took forever to reply to emails, made a ton of mistakes with the paperwork, and then made me spend money again on notarization even though I had already sent them the first document as a photo and they said it was fine to send it. They really charge a lot of fees for paperwork that they don't disclose upfront, and they do it poorly. 1/10. I ended the contract because I'd already been dealing with them for about a month and a half with the whole process. But I don't recommend them.
