Never again
Ordered timber over phone and paid for delivery, got an email a few days later giving delivery date, nothing turned up. When I rung up they had changed delivery and failed to inform me, had to send contractors home which cost me money. They did reimburse me with delivery fee but still lost money, would not recommend

I am so sorry to hear about this experience. Whilst factors beyond our control can lead to delivery dates being changed, this should have been communicated to you and I do apologise that we have fallen short on this occassion. We did experience a surge in demand over the bank holiday period and we have since improved systems and grown the team in order to meet the demand, without our service levels slipping.
We really apologise for this experience but hope that we are able to put this right for you one day.

Fast and efficient from initial order
Fast and efficient from initial order, to a slight amendment I made, through to delivery exactly to timescale. Prices were cheapest I could find, with no loss of quality. All items arrived damaged free. Spot on!

Worse experience from customer service
Worse experience from customer service. Originally I put my order in estimated will be delivered for Wednesday, come Tuesday no communication I had to phone the company to confirm it’s getting delivered but they had no idea and was told now I am going to have to wait another 7 days. Now it’s Wednesday no delivery phoned 3 times I was told they will phone me each time. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO TO YOUR LOCAL!

We’re sorry you feel disappointed with your experience. However, we would like to clarify that we never confirmed a Wednesday delivery date, and we communicated the lead time as soon as we were made aware of it. Your delivery was out for delivery and our team tried their best to get you an estimated time.
Our team works extremely hard to help every customer and provide the best service possible. While we understand frustration, abusive language towards staff members is completely unacceptable.
We always aim to resolve issues professionally and respectfully and expect the same courtesy in return.
Thanks,
Matt – Owner of DIY Building Supplies

The only reason for the 4 stars
The only reason for the 4 stars, what that after placing order there was a delay in getting the materials delivered. I had to phone to chase up the order, 7 days later!!
Otherwise great price and quality goods when delivered.

We hope we are able to work with you again and this time make it a 5* experience.

Thank you so much for writing us such a positive and fair review. Unfortunately, we had been experiencing delays in confiming delivery dates due to a high demand but have since built capacity so that higher than usual demand shouldn't affect our service level.
We hope to see you again soon.
