We paid just under £500 for one and a half hours diagnostics. We where left with an app and advice if the problem did not rectify itself to contact another Garage. We need to use the app every journey and request a refund as the van has never been repaired, and find that the £100 guarantee has not been returned to our Charity

Great service! From the team on the phone to Luke attending I can not fault the service I received. Everyone was polite, friendly and professional. Communication was great throughout & Luke arrived on time. Luke was wonderful! He found the problem & got straight onto fixing it. Used again to fit a new DPF sensor and pipes after initial DPF clean the week before. Very tricky job but engineer was fantastic. Just got on with the job with no problems. Fast and efficient service. Not often you get a company who do what they promise to do. But these do that and more besides. Very happy

A recent diagnostic showed that I had a Nox sensor problem. I referred it to Auto Assist who had recently fitted a new one. As part of their investigation they suggested that it might in fact be the AdBlue system. Armed with their knowledge I refilled the AdBlue and all of the warning lights went out and the system re set. All done for free and enabled me to drive my car worry free. Above and beyond the call of duty and they have created a new client.

Kept informed and sorted the problem out on sight.

This is, by far, the most professional, courteous and knowledgeable company I have experienced in recent years. I am delighted with the manner in which they dealt with my vehicle. What impressed me the most was the caller on first contact and that of the mechanic who turned up. \both of which I highly recommend.

Booked paid.sorted. A few days later we receive amessage have no availibility. Ok change days. Got a text on the day of second booking after confirmation how about this date. My wife had to take a day off. So left in a worse state booking through this company. Be careful.

Further to my "one star review" of 4/4/26. I today received a letter threatening me with court if, WITHIN 48 hours, I don't amend or remove my honest and factual review of my personal experience with this company.
I also received a "cease and desist" notification to among other things stop sharing my personal experiences on Social Media. Oh, and they didn't like the fact that I have contacted the BBC's consumer protection programme "Watchdog" on "The One Show".

The engineer arrived within the confirmed time slot (8-10am) and called prior to the visit to confirm his arrival time. Alex resolved the DPF issue and cleared the warning light. He also gave me some advice on what I need to do to prevent this re-occurring. A full written report is subsequently emailed to me. I am happy with the service, work and the cost, whilst not cheap, is acceptable to me.

Adam was very friendly and efficient. He did his job very well and explained it step by step. He also advised a long test run then check error codes before using the vehicle again. All in all, a very good experience and reasonably priced for an “at home” service.

Had engine management lights on and dpf filter light on had a man called Rob who came out to see me the next day and managed to clean filter and remove light that I had taken my car to previous garage and couldn’t even remove engine management lights off due to codes that main dealership had put on but Rob sorted it out for me and was honest about the situation top man I would definitely recommend this company

The fault came back after 1 hour
They offered to clean the DPF of the car but charged me £200 for removal and refitting the DPF .They also said I could send them the DPF.When they came to clean it
nothing came out apart from bubbles.
A very detailed reply pointing out the service i picked has no warrenty.
It lasted a hour .This is a company that does lots of advertising on you tube but does not work
Collect £299 and go .
Avoid at all cost and save your money

This company has terrible customer service. I contacted them because I was getting an intermittent DPF warning light. DPF Specialists claimed they would come out, carry out a diagnosis, and advise on the fix. They did come out, performed a diagnosis, and immediately insisted the pressure sensor needed replacing—even though it had already been replaced just a few days earlier and wasn’t causing any issues. The engineer pushed hard for this replacement and said that a DPF clean would resolve the problem.

Five days later, the DPF warning light came back, and the car behaved exactly the same as before. I’m now almost £500 out of pocket and in the exact same position as before calling DPF Specialists—who, by the way, also operate under the name Auto Assist Group.

When I contacted them again to report the ongoing issue, they showed no interest whatsoever and simply sent me a claims form. After I completed and returned it, they then tried to sell me a diagnostic scanner so I could provide them with a fault code. Yes, I was shocked too. They then claimed they couldn’t proceed with the warranty without this information.

Considering they charge £179 for diagnostics, why wasn’t this offered in the first place? It’s clear they are more focused on taking money than helping customers. The engineer advised me to replace the sensor and have the DPF cleaned to resolve the issue, and I followed that advice. Now DPF Specialists/Auto Assist Group are refusing to take responsibility.

Avoid this company and use real professionals—these people are clearly not. You have been warned.
