Dangerous
Tore the house apart made it uninhabitable for 3 months, 2 years later the heating system still doesn't work. The stress had a major detrimental effect on my father in law who has since passed away and my 92 year old mother in law is looking forward to another cold winter. Complete charlatans and even ofgem doesn't seem to care.
Before energy smart came the heating and hot water worked perfectly.
PS: since this review Energysmart have reached out explaining they have had a complete change of staff and want to help. This is the first proactive thing they have done so watch this space...

I recently had internal wall insulation
I recently had internal wall insulation completed under the ECO4 grant, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The team was absolutely lovely and incredibly professional from start to finish. They made every effort to keep my home as clean and tidy as possible throughout the process, which I really appreciated.
A huge thank you to both the office staff and the engineers who were very accommodating, working around my schedule and keeping me informed every step of the way.
I can't thank them enough for what they have done for us! Will be recommending to our friends and family!

I don’t really write reviews so making an exception for this one, we had one of the most amazing lovely young man at our house earlier to conduct a survey. A gentleman with the patience of a saint, I have a severely ill daughter who needs constant monitoring and a husband who is bed bound due to having a severe stroke, this individual made it his business to kindly assist me with my duties as well as carry out his own work. He carefully worked around the house making sure not to disturb my husband or daughter and conducted his survey in a professional manner, I salute you sir thank you so much an absolute asset to the business.

I had a few issues with the new system…
I had a few issues with the new system initially. The plumbers missed a bypass valve and left a few leaks and the solar guys fitted a to low rated fuse. I was pleased to hear that energy smart had stopped using those people and they were very helpful in sending and electrician and plumber several times to iron out the errors. Its a complicated system and one should expect that these errors can sometimes occur. The main thing is there willingness to correct those teething problems. Racheal was brilliant in organising the repairs. Many thanks Energy Smart and especially Racheal.

Tina’s help has been absolutely amazing, she has maintained contact via email and telephone updating me regularly on where I stand with the Eco 4 application, I was over the moon to hear I qualified and have just had my survey done by a lovely young man by the name of Jay and what a breathe of fresh air he is, he’s been very efficient and polite.

Hamzi was a very polite young man who explained his survey role and got on with the task in hand. With very little disturbance he collected the data, asked for clarification where necessary and was professional throughout.

Shocking company
Shocking company. The only reason that they have good reviews is because the different trades people ask for good reviews as they get paid £10 for each good review. Had a heat pump fitted and it’s still not been wired in from when it was fitted xx months ago. I’ve had no contact from them. No body ever returns your calls. Please don’t expect’Kev’ to ever return your calls. He couldn’t organise a p up in a brewery. Made us loads of promises and we never got the things we needed for the set up to run. Left us in a lot worse position than we were in originally. We’ve now had to take it up with Offgenas they have left us in such a muddle. We were told by several of the different trades people that the majority of customers aren’t happy and loads of complaints get taken to offgen.
AVOID THIS COMPANY , if something seems too good to be true then it generally is

We are genuinely quite astounded by the review you have left, especially given the extensive efforts we have made to accommodate your unique circumstances — namely, that your property is completely off-grid.
Due to the lack of a standard electricity supply, it is unclear what you meant by the property being "wired up," as this would not be possible in the traditional sense. For clarity, we kindly request further elaboration on this point so we can fully understand your concern.
From the outset, we have taken a solution-led approach to your property, as we recognise it is not a traditional setup. To support your off-grid living, we provided a diesel generator powerful enough to run your entire property. It’s important to note that this was not covered under the ECO4 scheme; instead, it was supplied at our own expense in order to ensure you could benefit as much as possible from the new system.
In addition, we upgraded your existing solar system to make it significantly more efficient, and the extra energy generated is stored in an external battery storage unit — another step we ensured specifically to accommodate your off-grid setup.
As it stands, we are uncertain where the issues raised in your review stem from. The installation has been inspected and approved by our external retrofit coordinator and meets the strict regulations of the ECO scheme.
Furthermore, we also carried out internal wall insulation, which has noticeably improved your home's energy efficiency and overall warmth, lessening your need for other heating elements and use of unsustainable fuels.
