Overall a rather good experience with Globeia, who were very responsive to all my questions. The fingerprinting session in Paris with their associate went very well as mentioned in my Google review.
The streamline on their online portal is a bit confusing, and the mention of "certified translation" quite misleading: In France we require a "traduction certifiée" for the French authorities, and Globeia's mention of "certified translation" (which turned out to be by an American translator) does not necessarily match the French requirements, so this is something to take into account. While it is good having this US certified translation, it was some extra money I paid for a translation I cannot really use.
On the whole they delivered, so I am quite happy. I now have to look for a French certified translator and pay them as well, but thanks to Globeia I have the necessary documents to translate and that is perhaps a bit overpriced, but also a big help.

I’m currently in the thick of it right now. I’m STILL waiting for someone to get back to me after waiting 2½ weeks for my RCMP results, only to receive SOMEONE ELSE’S name instead of my own.

I’m on a sensitive timeline to get my New Zealand visa sorted. Why has no one gotten back to me? I’ve called and emailed multiple times, and this is an urgent matter.

I DO NOT recommend Globeia at all.

This is my 3rd time I am submitting my application with Glebeia and each time I noticed significant enhancement and professional attitude among their staff, replying our queries, understanding the time sensitivity and immediately updating the status of our application. I chose this service because I was on a tight timeline and needed it all done quickly. They were way behind the timeline provided and sent multiple emails stating that my paperwork had been submitted when it hadn’t. My plans got completely screwed over because of it. On top of this, the rates they are charging are absurd. I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone; I would have been better off flying home to get it done myself.

Absolute fraud. I paid upfront for their "required translation upgrade" fee for an FBI Background Check Report, only for them to hold my document hostage after receiving payment. They are now demanding more money, claiming the document is "longer than standard"—a condition that was never disclosed in writing, in our contract, or during any prior communications.

Altering financial terms after a contract is signed and paid for is an illegal bait-and-switch tactic under both U.S. and Canadian law. Unprofessional, unethical, and completely untrustworthy. Take your business elsewhere unless you want to be shook down for more cash.

From the beginning to the end of the process, Globeia was incredibly helpful. Everything was handled on time, and the entire experience was smooth and hassle-free. I truly appreciate their professionalism and excellent service.

Globeia markets itself as a specialist in country-specific document compliance. In practice, they accepted payment for a Czech Republic visa translation without ever checking whether their standard translation would meet Czech requirements. It doesn't: Czech authorities require a court-appointed translator, which Globeia doesn't offer, and nobody flagged this before I paid. When I raised the issue, I was then told a PDF copy of my documents would be sufficient for a Czech translator to use. That was also wrong; the original is required. Twice now, the information I relied on turned out to be false, in a process where being wrong isn't a minor inconvenience.
The financial cost of trusting them with this has been real: a wasted trip to submit documents that turned out to be invalid, extra courier fees to get my original documents to a translator who can actually do the job, and a new translation I now have to pay for myself, on top of what I already paid Globeia. Their resolution was refunding one line item and calling the order "completed," without addressing that the thing I actually paid for never existed. If you need documents translated to meet a specific country's legal requirements, don't assume a company this size has verified it. Check yourself, because they clearly didn't.
