A careless company only happy to take your money.
Due to Plusnet's failure to keep my details up to date as per GDPR, I was unaware of the migration of my Plusnet email to Greenby taking place until it happen, or the 30 day free window until they closed access to my account and demanded payment.
I have been emailing their complaints team (no phone number so you can't talk to anyone) to explain I never had notification and demanding payment is unfair, but they continue to parrot the reply that I must give them money first.
A careless company only happy to take your money. Avoid.

Looks like I'm a victim of the greenby takeover.
Thought it a bit odd there were no emails this week, so sent a test email to myself, it was returned saying recipient does not exist. Looks like the account has been closed.......I have a Plusnet broadband account till June 2027 so the email should continue free until then.
The migration from Plusnet hasn't been smooth over the last few months but this last f@@k up is the last straw.
Is this an attempt by greenby to force people to pay for something plusnet said was free for 2 years ?
I don't mind paying for good service but the last 6 months with greenby has been riddled with frustration and poor service, no way would I pay greenby.
Probably time to kick plusnet into touch if they can't be trusted to keep their word.

Absolute shambles of a company.
I have had problem after problem.
Span offensive emails, not being able to send emails ( until I paid the 15£ fee) now emails I send never reach the recipient, they come back as a failed delivery.
No help from the support bot, as they never resolve any issues.
This service warrants a negative score.
This deserves a negative scoring. Despite numerous promises, that the problem with sending emails to icloud, @me, homecall and an increasing number of gmail addresses would be fixed by the end of the week (over 2 months ago), the problem persists. These sort of issues should have been ironed out, perhaps with a test selection accounts, prior to any handover. For over 20 years, Plusnet always worked for me, with any issues being easily addressed immediately and with a quick call. Ticket responses with Greenby are generic, with false promises and of no assistance at all. The new service is unfit for purpose and we are informed that we are expected to pay for it in the future! This company is an absolute shambles.
Avoid at all costs!
Dreadful. Since PlusNet has transferred the management of its emails to Greenby, it’s been chaos. I’ve been receiving offensive emails that should have been filtered, and my usual emails keep going into the Junk folder even though I’ve marked them as Not Junk.
Their support team tells me that Greenby’s filters do not have the option to block specific spam addresses on the server side. Even if I create filters in webmail, the spam mail still keeps coming through.
Not at all impressed. Moving to MS Outlook.
Total disgrace
My experience is exactly as everyone has described here. I basically lost access to my Plusnet email.
It is absolutely despicable that the subsidiary of a major UK Plc put their customer to ransom to some nameless faceless organization. I think people affected should take a collective legal action.
Ironically I called Plusnet support today and they pretended that they don't know much about it.

I was unwillingly migrated by plusnet to this company. I find it cumbersome to use and so slow. It is not easy to use and takes ages to load up messages.
I have discovered today after writing a group chat that it was returned because I am not allowed to have more than one recipient!

Forced to greenby from Plusnet. OMG how terrible. The final nail in the coffin is that you cannot send e mails to G Mail, Outlook, or Hotmail. Seriously? How can a e mail platform not be able send e mails to the biggest recipients?! Much as we love our legacy F.9 e mail we cannot exist like this and will have to move, with all the hassle this involves. How Plusnet fobbed loyal customers off to a useless, inept shambles like Greeby I do not know. They are in no way fit to be run an e mail platform.
Poor Service from Greenby
The migration of email data from Plusnet to Greenby has resulted in a degree of chaos for me. My account has been deluged with unsolicited mail and some messages that I have sent have not arrived at their destination. Currently it is not possible to block unwanted email using Greeby's web mail.
Greenby relies on a chat bot for its initial support responses and this sytem makes mistakes.
For all the years that I have used Plusnet email, I have now been subjected to this ill thought through project by Plusnet.
I am transferring my email activity to another provider.
Shockingly poor
I have had no end of problems since being migrated from plusnet - random mailboxes being created and the ongoing inability to send emails. Chatbot utterly useless and “escalation” never resolves the issue. Various SMTP settings tried for sending mail, nothing works. Obviously never did any rudimentary testing of how their email service would work with different devices and apps-amateur! Free for first 2 years then £15/yr - no thanks and why would I? When other better email providers are out there. It’s not my primary email, thankfully, so not a huge issue but annoying as my wife uses it and I need to wean her off it.

Update to previous reviews: Have not had any recent outages (Do I speak too soon?) BUT: Receiving a lot of spam email much of which contains links to malicious sites, phishing etc. Fortunately my security software is picking these up. Have checked my junk folder on Greenby and find it is filtering out bona fide emails, for instance from my energy supplier. I think PlusNet should take responsibility for these problems as they are the ones that farmed us out to a substandard company. I shall not be renewing my contract with PlusNet, unfortunately tied in for some months. Disgusting the way we have been treated. In the interim would advise ensure your antivirus and security software is good, check junk folder on Greenby server regularly.
Shockingly awful. Avoid.
Shockingly awful. We have spent nearly a week and £260 trying to rectify the mess caused by attempting to move our Plusnet emails to Greenby. Ended up having to get our IT engineer to carry out a factory reset on the computer as nothing worked. Consequently have lost umpteen contacts and information. Have now established a new Gmail account and have abandoned Greenby altogether.
Greenby email migration from Plusnet
Plusnet sent an email 12/5/25 to say migration to Greenby would start on 14/7/25 and Greenby would advise when complete. I did not hear from Greenby and I continued to receive emails in my Plusnet inbox until 21/4. I was told by Plusnet that my migration was completed on 10/3. I wasn't told of this I couldn't use the 30 day free trial and my emails are locked and held to ransom until I pay £15. This is extortion. I have used Greenby email complaint service but they are not interested and I must pay up or lose my emails. Unfortunately Resolver do not have Greenby or Enix (parent company) on their list. I have raised a ticket with Plusnet today. Unsurprisingly Greenby are not signed up to the Communications Ombudsman or CICAS but Plusnet are so I might try that route.

If I could no stars I would, email completely stoped when trying to resolve this I found the only contact was by the online help there advice switch my IPad off & reboot next check my email settings then re-download the app didn’t work when I asked for someone to talk to on the phone was told they would if the issue couldn’t be resolved but each time I contacted them to report nothing helped it was like a new contact so got nowhere the very worst company effectively no customer support at all

Horrendously bad company. My emails are completely log jammed now with spam emails and all attempts to block the senders fail apparently due to a failure in the Greenby system
Regardless of how many attempts to block them the following day is worse than previous. And trying to speak to a functioning human is as futile as attempts to block the spam emails. All previous assurances that historic emails woukd be transferred is another failed promise. What an utterly useless company Greenby has proven to be

Absolutely awful company. Terrible customer service. Their default position seems to be to say no to everything. Very unreasonable and unhelpful.

I am with the other reviewers. Moved from Plusnet to Greenby. Cannot send any emails. No customer service only AI replies which are no help at all. Cannot see any solution to the problem.
Storing payment details for future payments - NO CHOICE
Forced to pay £15 to continue access until I can migrate everything to a new email provider. But can't pay by paypal as their service doesn't work. It looks like they force you to accept that they can store your details for recurring payments. Chat service is very slow.

Awful company with non-existent support
terrible "company" who have taken over Plusnet mailboxes and charging users a fee for it. Now locked out of our account with no access, no way to reset any passwords and zero ways to contact this company.
Just met with a wall of generic support articles, non of which offer any support with account access. No contact numbers, emails or anything. Very questionable organisation.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! DO NOT HAND OVER YOUR MONEY!!
