SOMEONE MUST BE RESPONSIBLE
It would be a very good idea if the CEO of PlusNet actually READ these reviews and took responsibility for dumping Greenby on the company's loyal customers. Just this morning it's taken ages trying to log in and the snail's-pace unreliability of this time-wasting 'service' needn't be described again.
PlusNet's well-intentioned call-handlers themselves usually advise moving to another service but anyone who's had a long-standing email address knows this is NOT easy. Whether it's PlusNet or BT who are ultimately responsible for the wretched mess, it needs fixing now.
EXTRA - Trust Pilot's emailed code for me to verify this review landed in my Junk folder!
Greenby suspending the "free" 2-year email service without checking eligibility
Existing PlusNet users were advised that post-migration to Greenby their email service would continue for two years, after which an annual fee would be charged by Greenby. This was also the advice provided by Greenby. Like many others who have commented on Trustpilot, my own email (@plus.com address) unexpectedly stopped receiving messages (although it seems that it remained capable of sending messages). I took this up with the AI-generated "advisor" through the Greenby control panel and after some time was eventually put in touch with a human being, who told me that my account had been suspended because I hadn't paid the annual fee. I responded with details to prove that I didn't need to pay any fee until February 2028, whereupon my email service was reinstated. However, there are several days-worth of received messages which cannot be recovered. I'm not at all happy about this, and I suspect that this is the reason why so many people have complained about Greenby. The company has just failed to carry out the checks that it is supposed to. Calling it a company is a bit extreme though. The two individuals who are directors of the company are also involved in a number of similar schemes which purport to offer web-hosting and other IT-related "services". Their "offices" are nothing more than odd room rented at various industrial estates and they have no call centres that you can speak to. Their "office" addresses change frequently; I cannot believe that PlusNet (which has fantastic customer service) has handed over its email handling to Greenby. I think that the best thing anybody can do is find another, reliable and honest email provider and gradually change over to it. The lack of any form of UK-based, human customer support and the lack of a permanent and accessible UK office makes me think that Greenby/Enix will just evaporate when the two "directors" have made their money and decide to flee the country. Greenby (and in all likelihood the other "services" provided under the Enix Ltd. umbrella) is best avoided. Of course, if either of the directors would like to get in touch to explain things I'm sure we would all welcome it!
The most useless emailclient...
I cannot access my email account, I keep being informed my password is incorrect. Greenby seem to specialise in not being contactable. Plusnet moved their email service to Greenby and it is completely useless. I cannot find any contact numbers or email addresses. I don't need this rubbish and will not longer use it.
Time and time again this damn email…
Time and time again this damn email company everyone at Plusnet was FORCED to go with has been nothing but problem after problem, 3 days ago I could not get my mails and now today I again cannot get my emails plus I am getting requests to change my password !! How the hell did this company manage to take over Plusnet email service? Well of course we all know it was pressured by BT to do so
Rubbish provider
The amount of junk emails received is unbelievable , Today 285 received. Plusnet really let us down using Greenby as new provider for emails
Worst Email Provider Ever
This is the worst email provider I’ve ever come across. What PlusNet were thinking when they dumped their customers with this company to provide email services beggars belief. I spent a good two hours testing my outlook desktop app before discovering that mail is not even reaching my webmail account so there’s no mail to fetch in the first place. Total shambles and to cap it all Greenby are expecting their customers to start paying for this shambles of a service after the free grace period. Whoever owns controls this company needs to get a grip.
Ultra slow
Ultra slow, don't trust for 2 level authentication when it takes hours to display new e-mail codes that only last 10 minutes. Also stopped talking to "new" outlook so now can only view in web browser.
I just don't trust this service, when they go bankrupt who will be liable for their shit service and any losses.
Time to migrate.....
unbelievably rubbish service everything…
unbelievably rubbish service everything is done on the slow slow slow Plusnet should be ashamed by selecting GREENBY as our e.mail provider never had such bad service ever
Totally useless.
Plusnet have moved the email part of the business to a company called Greenby and oh boy, it’s been nothing but trouble from the start. Unable to connect to mails, being told my password was incorrect when it clearly wasn’t, having emails sent to the junk folder that never were before, regularly unable to retrieve emails to my inbox and they then have the nerve to suggest they’ll start charging for this “service” after 2 years! Fortunately, I’m 95% of the way to completely transferring to a gmail account. I can’t wait for the day that I can finally ditch Greenby. If I could have awarded zero stars, I would happily have done so.
Cowboys
What an awful service this bunch of cowboys are providing. Plusnet really have dropped the ball here, allowing their good reputation to be associated with these clowns. And the worst thing, Greenby actually want to charge for their 'service'.
I left Plusnet wish I had choice
I left Plusnet and was told Greenby would replace their email.
I find it unbelievably slow with frequent outages.
Support is terrible
Support is purely an AI bot posting generic messages and if it ever transfers you to a human they also just post generic messages with no real attempt to solve the problem
After transferring to Greenby
After transferring to Greenby, the amount of scam emails received has been unprecedented. Having emailed them twice I am still receiving them.also received emails over 2,000 old emails that I deleted over 1-2 years ago. Don’t really have any faith in them. There have been times when going into my emails I have found them to have disappeared, eventually coming back later in day,
Appalling service
Appalling service. When I had trouble they connected me to AskExpert and said they would charge £1 which I would get back (they didn't say how). I said OK only to find that AskExpert not only charged me £1, but also tried to take a £24 monthly charge from my account at the same time! Luckily my bank noticed it immediately and stopped the transaction, but had to freeze my card and it took a while to unfreeze. Needless to say I won't be staying with them for long.
Migrated and still slow
Migrated and still slow. Will I pay for this? No.

DREADFUL IN EVERY RESPECT. DO NOT USE.
I was ported across to greenby from plusnet , when plusnet stopped supporting an email service. Greenby charge £15 per year for their email service…AND I DO. NOT WANT IT… I have been trying to cancel it since 11th February, and there has been 6 emails between us since then…it is still not cancelled.
Dreadful customer service. No telephone number, emails ignored or “closed”, DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM.
The Worst and just like everything else in the UK.Pathetic !
One star given as no stars are not an option. kept loosing email . tried to fix the problems but as Greenby only uses robots for customer support none of the fixes worked. They dont even have a phone number for customer support.
Eventually I gave up and closed the account completely.
I use my gmail for emails from here on until I jump ship
very soon. If you are reading this and you work for plusnet or Greenby i suggest you start looking for a new job as I cant see them being around for long.
Absolutely terrible.
Absolutely terrible.
Had my PlusNet email for over 15 years. A few small hiccups but nothing as bad as Greenby.
What a monumentous mistake and now we have to pay £15 a year to keep our main email addressess for lower standards and problems.
I would give it zero if I could
I would give it zero if I could. I shall be leaving plusnet when my contract up for renewal. Greenby is shit.
