Herne Bay Domestics is an independent, family-run business which was established on the Herne Bay high street in 1984. Our reputation is built upon a combination of high-level customer service and care, and the ability to provide a large stock of domestic appliances at extremely competitive prices, as a result of close relationships with major manufacturers and being part of Euronics. We therefore believe that we have found the right balance between being able to care for the needs of every individual customer, whilst still often being able to offer the same products and prices as the biggest retailers in this field. Our team of delivery drivers and engineers are able to install every product we sell, as well as being able to demonstrate to customers how their new appliance works, and answering any queries on this matter. Meanwhile, our sales team are immediately on hand to fix any subsequent issues, as opposed to having to go through call centres and long queues. I've dealt with Herne Bay Domestics twice before and both times they've been a pleasure; helpful, cooperative and easy.
This third time really tested the theory that it's how a company reacts to a problem that’s a true measure of their service quality.
There was a controversy, not of their making, over the length of guarantee on a washing machine I'd bought from them. They couldn't have been more helpful and diligent in sorting it out; and one of the most pleasing factors is that, unlike just about every other organisation you will ever deal with, their inclination is to pick up the phone and actually talk to you, rather than hide behind email.
I thoroughly recommend them.

Herne Bay Domestics have the best customer service.
I have used HBD several times over the last few years and they have always been an excellent company. Yesterday my dishwasher broke and it was well overdue replacing. I popped into the store and talked to a very helpful staff member, and left having bought a new dishwasher at a good price, and arranged for delivery and fitting today! Chip and Jay turned up exactly when they said they would, and fitted my integrated dishwasher perfectly. Always friendly and helpful, HBD will always be my first port of call for any domestic appliances I need. Cannot rate them highly enough!

Yet again Herne Bay Domestics helped repair our fridge freezer water dispenser which broke. They responded quickly and completed the repair when the manufacturer failed dismally (so much for a 10 yr parts warranty) with Hoover.

Excellent service from a local…
Excellent service from a local family-run business. My dishwasher had broken down, and the team was polite, efficient, and went out of their way to get a new dishwasher installed in time for an event where I knew I’d have lots of washing up to do. 👍
As a lovely bonus, they also entered me into a raffle and I actually won a pod coffee machine! ☕️

I called HBD on a Monday morning, the washing had broken over the weekend, I discussed the specification we required and then confirmed the price, delivery & installation. At 9am the following morning, the team arrived to remove the broken integrated washing machine and install a new one in its place, a fantastic service, highly recommended, my wife was so happy! Air BnB hosts dream - an excellent service
I called herne bay domestics on Thursday after my air BnB fridge freezer stopped working
They came Friday and I needed a new appliance as it was irreparable. They had what I wanted in stock and are removing the old one and delivering and installing the new one on Saturday. A great service. I live two hours away so this service is what I need as an air BnB host and. I will definitely buy future appliances if needed.

Dave and Chip were very efficient
Dave and Chip were very efficient. The installation of the new cooker presented them with unexpected problems re gas supply, electric connection and fitting it into the space. They definitely went the extra mile in adjusting the fitted cupboards to allow the cooker to be flush against the wall.
