Let me say that I am fairly handy with putting things together and even though I like the fabric and the ease of shipping,(it was shipped quickly) the assembly of the couch was another thing. With two people working to make things square and putting it together over many hours I feel like the website wasn’t forthcoming.Even though the instructions were well written ,the pressed plywood shards , sanding to make the fabric slip over the pieces was a big mess and a lot of work! It does seem like the effort and actual product do not match the expensive cost of the sofa. The ottoman has issues with wood pieces fitting in the sleeves , the zipper working properly and then not fitting straight in the box part. I really want to give a better review but people need to know exactly what they are paying for.

We hear you on the assembly. Building the frame and fitting the covers takes real time and effort, and it's valuable for us to know how that experience compared with what you expected when you ordered. Our frames are made from OSB, which is what allows every piece to be modular and individually replaceable over the life of your furniture. A natural characteristic of OSB is that it can shed small wood particles, and we understand that can add to the work during assembly.

Modular furniture does involve more individual pieces than traditional furniture, since each part is designed to be replaceable on its own, so feeling overwhelmed by the number of pieces at first is common. We're glad it came together smoothly in the end!
This is a good product
This is a good product. The instructions for assembly are clear. The chair is comfortable. The storage area is smaller than expected. I was also surprised that the retriever fabric got scratch marks from my dog's paw.

On the storage area, that size reflects the frame design used to keep the piece structurally sound and consistent with the rest of our modular lineup, rather than something we can adjust after the fact.
As for the Retriever fabric, our Performance+ line is treated with iClean technology for resistance to stains, moisture, and general wear, but scratch marks from a pet's claws can still occur on any fabric surface.
We value this feedback and will share it with our team as we continue looking for ways to improve.
The fabrics are great
The fabrics are great. A year plus in. We have 4 dogs and 2 cats. We added pee pads under the seat fabrics for accidents to keep the cushions clean. The covers come off easy enough and clean well from hair balls to dog vomit. We get compliments for our unique layout we designed. Definitely worth the money.

Heavy boxes and not extremely comfortable

Washable and changeable covers in colors that are hard to find.
The bad,
I received the boxes 2 days before Christmas and the boxes are very heavy,
I received the wrong size covers twice before I finally received the correct size, so it was almost a month after receiving the first shipment, before I finally had the set up I ordered
The cushions do not stay in place, I am constantly having to pull up the back cushion to get the bottom cushion in place.
Very hard to move couch on carpet.
Heavy and splinters in wood frame.
Not as comfortable as I had hoped with the constantly sliding of bottom cushion.
I definitely would not order again.

Getting the wrong size covers twice, especially right before the holidays, is not the experience we want for our customers, and we appreciate you sticking with it until you had the correct set.
The weight of the frame is part of what gives the furniture its sturdiness, and the small wood particles you're seeing come from the OSB used to build it, that's the tradeoff for keeping pieces modular and replaceable.

It’s been almost a year and we are disappointed.
We owned this couch for almost a year now. While we enjoy the modular design of our Home Reserve couch, we’re disappointed with our seven-seat sectional, especially considering how much we paid for something we had to assemble practically from scratch.
Our biggest concern is the cushions. Within about 2-3 months, they went from medium firm to really squishy. I think they offer a return, but considering that we’d have to take the whole thing apart and ship them in the original boxes which we threw up because we live in a small home that was pretty much impossible. The thing is, we actually chose this couch partly because reviewers complained about how firm it was—we were excited because that was exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately, that firmness didn’t last. You sink into these seats so much that your butt can feel the wooden base underneath.
Now it looks like we’ll have to buy replacement cushions elsewhere so our elderly parents can sit comfortably without aches and pains. That’s an additional expense we didn’t expect so soon after purchasing this sectional.
We’ve also struggled to remove stains from the stain-resistant fabric. Clear instructions included with the couch on how to treat stains would have been helpful. We understand that stain-resistant doesn’t mean stainproof, but some stains simply aren’t coming out.
There are other issues, but these two stand out the most. I really hope Home Reserve starts offering firmer cushions for people who would like some actual support. And stain-resistant fabric that actually resists stains would be nice, too.

Cushion firmness can settle somewhat over the first few months of regular use, and we understand you chose this piece expecting a firmer feel from the start. Feeling the wooden base underneath the cushions doesn't match what we'd consider typical, though. Please feel free to email support@homereserve.com so we can take a closer look.
On fabric care, we hear the request for clearer stain-treatment guidance, and we'll share it with our team as we continue looking for ways to improve. Our Performance+ fabrics do offer stain resistance, but some stains, oil in particular, can be more difficult to remove. We're also happy to take a closer look at the covers and share more detailed washing and spot-treatment guidance, just include a note when you send those cushion photos over.

Very pleased with our Home Reserve sectional.
We appreciated customer service which worked hard to help us figure out the best layout and pieces for our space. We love the color and quality of the sectional. My husband assembled it with no difficulty, and we find it very comfortable. I would have given five stars except that a seam was undone on one piece. Fortunately I was able to see it myself.
