Worst customer service! They will send you defective shoes and not refund you! Not worth it!

Ordered a pair of boots and they sent me a defective pair. I sent them back and they send me ANOTHER DEFECTIVE PAIR. I’m trying to return them for a refund since they can’t seem to send me a the boots that I bought and they are making it impossible for me to return them! Worst customer service experience ever! Don’t waste your money because when they arrive they don’t look like they do in the pictures! I would like a refund for the defective pair of boots they sent me, not a store credit for this awful brand!

At the beginning of the process, we offered a replacement, which is our standard first step when an issue is reported. At that time, a refund was absolutely an option as well, and we regret if that was not clearly communicated. Had we known you preferred a refund from the start, we would have proceeded that way immediately.

We shipped the replacement as quickly as possible, and unfortunately, due to a process failure, the second pair arrived with a defect. That is not acceptable and falls short of our quality standards. For this, we offer our sincere apologies.

To make this right, we removed all return-related fees and processed a full refund to your original form of payment. No store credit was imposed.

This case has been escalated internally, and corrective actions are already in place to prevent this from happening again. While we can’t change what happened, we can — and do — take responsibility for it.

Best customer experience ever?

I read all the reviews here and was worried when my shoes arrived and were too small. Not only was my exchange and customer service experience simple and seamless, I have to say, this may have been the best online return I’ve ever made. Quick response, easy drop-off, and new shoes on their way… all within about 12 hours (and on a Saturday!). My customer service rep, Steph, was simply amazing!

Perhaps all the bad reviews here were made in bad faith; or, Larroude heard the complaints and have changed their ways. Regardless, I’ll be ordering from them in the future with no worries.

I don’t write reviews often but felt compelled to counter all the negativity here.

I ordered the Florencia boot in black…

I ordered the Florencia boot in black box leather and a pair of platform sandals. The sandals are pretty comfortable, but I haven’t given them a lot of wear since it’s the middle of winter and I bought them on sale for summer. My issue was with the boots. I ordered in blackbox leather, which were very stiff and uncomfortable. It took almost a month for my items to arrive because they got stopped in customs, but no big deal. They did eventually arrive. What upset me was that I received my order and my boots were not returnable because it was an international order. I was not happy with my boots and I wrote a negative review For the Larroude website. My review never appeared on their website (it’s been two weeks). instead, another review with five stars was placed on the item for the Florencia boot in black box leather. In this review, it said the exact opposite of everything I said in my review. In my review, I showed pictures of myself wearing the boots and had a problem with the boots gaping in the back. It’s like my foot and leg is in a forward position and the front of my shin is rubbing against the boot and the back has a huge gape. Also, the boots were super tight and uncomfortable. I have a relatively thin foot and I don’t have problems fitting my calves in boots. Something about the boot was just off and instead of responding to my review and placing it on their website, which would’ve been fair, they only chose to place a positive review app on their website. I guess that’s fine and that’s their prerogative, but I wanted to leave a review here stating that the reviews on their website are not accurate. This boot was $500 and very uncomfortable and not returnable. The boots required a lot of breaking in and they’re still uncomfortable to wear. For $500 I expect more. I won’t be ordering from this website again, and hopefully people will see these reviews before they make a purchase and have some of the problems that all of us are having with this company. I understand that it’s all business but businesses that do not respond to customers in a fair and positive way are not going to be in business long. I am disappointed that my review of the boot was not placed on the website. Why have a review process if you’re not going to be fair about how you post those reviews? This is a bad business practice and the company is more about cover up than leveling up their products and practices.

Maybe I'm Lucky But My Experiences Were Problem Free

I'm honestly shocked at how many poor reviews larroude.com has here. So I thought I'd at least add in my experiences. I received my first pair of Larroude shoes in October of 2025 and ordered a second pair that arrived in December 2025. Neither time did I have any problems. And the shoes are comfortable, stylish, well made and unique. I would order again without hesitation. It's likely these poor experiences motivated reviews whereas other experiences aren't as motivational. Anyway, if I'd seen this level of dissatisfaction I probably wouldn't have proceeded with my orders. But they just don't mirror my own experience with this company.

Ridiculous Return Fees even when it's their fault

EDIT: editing my review bc I can’t figure out how to reply to Larroude’s response. My order number is LARR285409.

I ordered shoes that were marked as "Ready to Ship". I paid Larroude to have them delivered in 3-5 business days. If you've read any other reviews, I'm sure you can guess they did not arrive within that timeframe. I tried to reach out to customer service every way I could find - email, phone, social media. All went unanswered. The shoes did eventually arrive 31 days later, long after the event that I wanted them for. They are eligible for return, but Larroude wants to deduct the cost that I paid them to ship in that timeframe + a $14.95 return fee. I find those deductions absurd considering I am returning because they could not deliver as promised.

TOTAL SCAM

This company is a TOTAL SCAM and has the absolute worst customer service!! I ordered velvet pumps and they arrived dented on the toes because of the way they were packed. Customer service does not answer phone calls or emails and only responded to me when I sent a message through instagram. They refuse to let me return the shoes saying they aren’t damaged (even tho I sent them photos of the damage) and saying they are on sale so I can’t return, only store credit. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!

Buyer Beware Tariffs

Got hit up with tariffs they didn't pay even though they sent out an email to all customers saying they would take care of them. After sending multiple emails, kept getting the standard form email that they will get back to me. Won't be ordering from them again.

Ordered shoes on 10/31

Ordered shoes on 10/31. They were not a pre order. There was no pre order option. I emailed two weeks later as they still had not shipped. I was told there was a “production delay” and would be shipped on 11/28. Absurd. As of today 12/1, I was told there was “another” or the same production delay and it would be another two weeks. I will be filing with my credit card to have the charge removed as this company is obviously fraudulent

I’m very upset I was scammed by this…

I’m very upset I was scammed by this company. They sent me a completely different shoe that is on clearance at DSW for 50% off when I paid full price for a different new shoe that is out of season. I ordered the Alexis Bootie in dark croco embossed leather. They sent me dark brown croc, this is insane. If I could do photos I would have the cheap “leather” that ruined after one wear. No wonder it is on DSW.

Misleading return policy

First of all, this is the second time I've ordered from them, and I adore my first pair. But - buyer beware - the second time I grabbed some sale shoes that didn't work out for me. I asked for a refund but was told it was store credit only, which is totally fine if that's their policy, and I missed that. Now I am trying to use the credit, and I'm being told I can only use it on full-price merchandise. WTF. That is so misleading.

Terrible Customer Service; Company Deletes Negative Reviews

Shipping to wrong address in another state

12/8/25 CLEARLY THEY DON’T VALUE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AT ALL - STILL NO RESPONSE
WORD OF CAUTION: DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY SO THEY CAN SEND YOUR PAID FOR SHOES TO SOMEONE ELSE AND NOT MAKE IT “right by you” AS THEY PROMISE OVER AND OVER AGAIN - THEY JUST IGNORE IT

12/1/25 THIS IS A FOLLOW UP TO MY FIRST REVIEW BELOW - Larroude replied to my comment and asked me to email them directly (which I already had several times), but I did email them the Information again. THEY STILL HAVEN'T RESPOND TO MY SEVERAL EMAILS. There is a way of a company handling situations like these and they are doing the exact opposite of what should be done - consumers deserve to know.
If Larroude resolves this "to my satisfaction" as they promised, I will certainly inform others - if they don't, consumers should know that too.

11/12/25 I pre ordered a pair of miso shearling shoes and waited for weeks for them to ship. When I got the email they shipped and then delivered, I called them and emailed them explaining they did not deliver. After them insisting they were delivered and sending me photos of where they were left, I informed them THEY DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS IN THE WRONG STATE.
They claimed this was not their fault as it was the correct shipping address. When I sent them the confirmation with my address and compared it to where they sent it, they said they would investigate it and "make it right by me".
That was over a week ago and I haven't gotten any response to my emails. I did dispute the charge with the cc company but BUYER BEWARE.
Shoes are beautiful - service and company is problematic. Stay away

Awful Experience

I originally ordered these shoes on 8/26. After receiving 10 separate calls from FedEx requesting I complete shipping paperwork and sending multiple emails to Larroude for assistance addressing FedEx’s inquiries, the shoes were ultimately returned to sender. I placed a replacement order on 10/11 and was told it would ship within 3–4 weeks. It is now 11/21, and I have not received an update. Larroude’s response time to customer inquiries consistently exceeds a week and so far there has been no resolution to an order placed almost 3 months ago. I tried to submit a review on their website; however, my review is not posted there.

my fave shoe brand

I’ve had a few pairs of Larroudé shoes for a while now, and I have to say, they’re genuinely some of the best shoes I own. The quality is insane, they still look amazing after tons of wear, and they’re super comfortable and versatile. I can dress them up or down and they always work.

I will say, the customer service can be a little slow, so you definitely need some patience. But honestly, the shoes are worth the wait. They are timeless and chic! And you can tell the brand puts so much creativity into everything they do. I’m obsessed and will keep buying from them for sure.

Definitely recommend.

If i could give them negative stars I…

If i could give them negative stars I would. I placed an order on Aug 18 and it is now October 31st and I still haven't received my order. They NEVER answer the phone (how convenient) and every email ive gotten has had some bogus story about "delays in production " or "extra quality checks" or whatever b.s they can throw at you all while extending the expected shipping date. What worse is how much these shoes cost and I can't help but feel like im being robbed. If I dont get my shoes soon im reporting then to my bank for fraud. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LARROUDE. They are not a trustworthy company.

This company is a SCAM

I placed an order on September 17 and still haven’t received my shoes or even a notification that they were shipped. I’ve contacted the company multiple times by email (which was already very difficult to do), and they gave me two different dates for shipping updates — none of which happened.

Now I’m requesting a refund, and they’ve completely stopped replying. There’s no real customer service — the phone number listed online doesn’t work, and no one answers calls.

This has been the worst shopping experience I’ve had in a long time, which is really disappointing because I genuinely loved the shoes I ordered.

1️⃣ September 25: You first reached out regarding your Harrington Loafer Hi pre-order (Order #LARR251097).
2️⃣ September 29: Our agent Abby replied confirming your order status and providing an estimated shipping date of October 12, along with a promise to send tracking information once the item shipped.
3️⃣ September 29 & October 13: You followed up for updates. Our system sent automatic responses explaining that you needed to reply to that same thread to reach an agent directly. Unfortunately, this can sometimes delay routing to the correct queue — which is what happened here.
4️⃣ Monday: Our customer care agent, Steph, spoke with you by phone and processed your refund request immediately. A confirmation email was sent right after, showing your order had been canceled and the refund was issued back to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, refunds typically appear within 3–5 business days.

We sincerely apologize for how difficult it was to reach us and for the lack of clear communication while your order was delayed. The delay occurred because this style was part of a pre-order batch that required additional production time, and we should have done a better job keeping you informed throughout the process.

We’re continuously improving our systems — including better automation handling and faster human responses — so that experiences like yours don’t happen again.

I placed an order and was charged on 9/27. Still have not rcieved the sneakers.. is this a real company or a fraud. Not sure if I should alert credit card company. Received an email thatthey were "half-way there", Not sure what this even means. Does 8t mean anotehr month.

Too bad I had to give it one star🤥🤥 liars and phonies they claim they were mailing my shoes since the August 11 today is October 21 no shoes no refund now they claim they’re gonna send a refund I’m gonna hold my breath I’ll let you know when they do then I will change my review
