Booking problems
I couldn’t book a shift on the app even though my documentation was up to date. I informed Yasmin and everything has been sorted out. I am now able to successfully book shifts. Thanks Yasmin for acting so quickly.

This agency keep promising to chase up…
This agency keep promising to chase up my payments from last year at start of this week but surprise surprise any progress a big fat NO ! Pretending to care about the matter had to contact them myself and made more progress in 5 minute calls than locate a Locum pathetic 6 months !!!

Avoid this agency
Avoid this agency. As an ACT had a bad experience before even worked any shift. Communication is very bad, email and messages totally ignored. You ‘apply’for shifts but it does not mean they are ‘booked’! I applied for few as they showed available but not received any confirmation. One day they have just disappeared from their app. Nonsense company. Also started getting lot of rubbish emails from’third’companies as they probably shared my details! Avoid

I have looked into your account and can see that you signed up 9 days ago and have uploaded your documentation - thank you for doing this. However, in response to your concerns about sending applications and the shifts disappearing, I have detailed the reasons for this below:
1. Your account is waiting to be approved by our compliance team - I will reach out to the team to review this.
2. As your account is unapproved, the applications you sent were not received by the employers. Only approved accounts can successfully send applications.
3. As your applications were not sent, these shifts were filled by an approved locum.
I will reach out to the compliance team to review your account and once it is approved, you will receive an email stating this. Once approved, you are then able to start applying for and booking shifts.

Worst agency ever, do not use them.
They cap the negotiation and in some cases block negotiations when you can directly email the coordinators and get higher rates.
They make money off getting you a worse and lower rate, it is

Similar to the rates on the Locate a Locum platform, the Negotiate feature is enabled by employers posting shifts to the marketplace. We do not have control over this as it is up to the employer to make this decision.
As we are a marketplace business, we do not make commissions from locums' shift payments. Locums keep 100% of what they earn from booking shifts on the platform. Rates are dependent on various factors however it's important to highlight that we do not influence or control this.
We understand this is a common misconception but I hope this explanation sheds further light on the situation.

Useless agency
Useless agency. Nobody answers the calls. Nobody answers emails. In the extremely lucky event your call does get answered you are encountered with silence. It's dumbfounding! They just go silent and say nothing to you! They take on clients without even having a contact number for their headquarters. A bunch of cowboys.

Awful communication for on the day…
Awful communication for on the day bookings. I don't particularly want to select a shift on the morning without mentioning my ETA etc driven rates through the floor. At least other agency's respond promptly to negotiation rate.

Easy and quick to make locum bookings
Easy and quick to make locum bookings, some Pharmacies are instant bookings which is great. Only issue I have is the long repose time for in app helpdesk/ chat.

Good agency, would recommend.
In my experience the shifts showing are up to date and 'live' unlike some other agencies which still show shifts I have been booked for sometimes days after I've been confirmed. Other reviewers opinions about this agency suppressing rates is wrong : all agencies are are just platforms for the pharmacies to post their shifts - the pharmacies choose the rates that the shift is listed for and the pharmacies also choose if they are willing to accept negotiations or additional expenses. So far when I have had a problem LaL have helped and been instrumental in getting the issue resolved shiftly which includes a call back on occasion to update me with the actions they've taken.

Market parasite
Absolutely awful agency that passes on data to big companies in order to help them fill shifts and increase their bottom line. They have suppressed the market rate for healthcare and are hurting the pharmacist profession. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Locate a Locum connects locums with employers via our marketplace. Each employer operates their own organisation's locum recruitment policy, including whether they wish to negotiate rates with locums. It is at the employer’s discretion whether or not the negotiation feature is enabled for any given shift.
We work with all employers and where possible facilitate their locum recruitment policies, to give our locums the most opportunity to find shifts at a time and place that suit them.
