Great support from Ryan this afternoon. Struggling to book shifts on the system (computer says no) so I messaged the Helpdesk. Ryan called me back within a few minutes and sorted it straight away. Delighted with his service!

Easy to register and booking shifts is simple and hassle free.

Registration was quick and easy. Very easy to find shifts as well.

The app has been getting worse with every update in the past couple of years. The distance used to be accurate, now I set my distance to 100km (aprox 60miles) and I get shifts 150-200 miles away. The postcode used to be shown on the main screen for every shift which was useful. Now I need to go into every shift to find the postcode as it can be 3 hours away although I set it up for no more than 60 miles away. The app is slow, full of glitches, closes down. The rates are low and the negotiation buttons are almost nonexistent nowadays. I very rarely use LAL now.
Also I have noticed that they can modify the hours worked and the hourly rate after the shift has ended without notifying the locum.

What i disliked is that locate Locum does actually promote big business to have low rate for pharmacist . There should be a set minimum rate ie £30 considering the fact that we are doing Pharmacy First on top of all other things we do. As this is a platform created by a pharmacist one would think he would be fighting for pharmacist to get paid better , instead the platform favours big companies . Please Locate Locum do not respond saying “ there is an option to set the rate you want” I think this should be looked at!! Its a shame that a fellow pharmacist’s platform is driving the rates down

Wouldn’t recommend them. Their contract favours the employer and not the Locum. If the employer cancels a shift no reimbursement but if a Locum cancels there’s a fine and potential black list.
Look at their terms and conditions of the contract the reply to my review is complete deceit. If a Locum cancels you can block them from using your platform also which is the new update but not the employer if they cancel frequently, that does not seem balanced

Please Help the locums in chasing the payment. For some shifts, the rate is ridiculously low, should be negotiable. Secondly, there should be an option of giving feedback/ review regarding that particular shift/staff/overall experience that should be open to view for other Locums. This would be helpful.

The booking system is easy to follow also the shifts update always coming in time.

Payment after completing the shifts is not the same with all the companies therfore it is will be great if unifying the method of payment and get a notification by the company or the agency that the payment in process so the pharmacist will not waste time in chasing the company andnd will not waste the time of the agency admins

LaL are just a bottleneck to pharmacist/contractor negotiations.
Benefitting only themselves and the contractors

The platform is convenient and easy to use but seems dominated by one or two companies only. Many of the jobs offered do not allow you to negotiate hourly rate or break time. Even the ones where hourly rate is negotiable, it seems to be capped. No information is offered regarding the quantity, qualifications or experience of staff you will be working with.
I only look at LAL when I'm feeling a bit desperate and even then most of the shifts are of no interest as the rates are so low.

I recently signed up to locate a locum. Ryan called me to talk me through what I had to do and sent me all the information I needed. He was very responsive to any other queries afterwards. I would really recommend so far.
