TERRIBLE Customer Service
I like the idea of their product and I want to support Canadian business, but their customer service is absolutely TERRIBLE!!! I have spent over a month trying to get a warranty issue resolved with a pair of slippers that I received as a gift. I jumped through all of their hoops, providing receipts, pictures and even returned the old slippers to them. Now they have my slippers and I still haven’t received my replacement. My next move will be contacting the better business bureau.
Made in Vietnam.
Got my moccasins and noticed the tag on the inside said made in Vietnam. Wait? What? I thought it was a Canadian owned and indigenous operated company. Wrong. Didn't get the certified certificate of authenticity either. Business was sold in 2020. Since then nothing but shoddy cheap work. Do yourself a favor and order from people who actually make them. Join some Canadian online groups. Canada has some amazing talented crafters. Not mass produced in a country paying children to produce.
The customer is NOT right!
We purchased 2 pair of NEW mukluks in April when they were on sale. Opened the boxes a few weeks ago to find one box contained certificate of authenticity. The second did not. Upon inspection of the NEW mukluk, it was very obvious that the boots had been worn as there were blue scuff marks on the soles. I emailed the customer service and they asked for pictures. I send them photos of the soles. They asked for more pictures of the inside of the boot. I told them the inside looked fine. It was the fact that they had been worn and scuffed on the bottom of the boot. These were to be a Christmas gift. Kind of difficult to give a gift as new when it is obviously not. The reply from Manitoba Mukluks......NONE! I have stopped buying from this company. Everyone should check their orders upon delivery. If they do not appear to be NEW, return them immdediatley.
they essentially stole $120 from me
they essentially stole $120 from me. They authorized a return and promised a UPS return label which they never sent despite numerous emails and telephone contacts. and now there is no one working on their customer service telephone line.
Great moccasins
Great moccasins. I have 2 pair. I wear them every day. So nice and soft. Real native art. My mom lived next to the LSM reserve and her best friend gave her a pair of moccasins in the 60's. She would let us kids try them on for 5 minutes. They had red beadwork, flowers and leaves, tied with leather straps. These are very similar.
Terrible Sizing, avoid and buy something better
Terrible sizing advice. I usually take a 7 1/2 followed their size guide which says to go down to the nearest full size since their shoes stretch out. Yeah they stretch out all right, in the ankles and heel so your heel will feel loose like its slipping around while your toes are totally crunched. Terrible waste of money with a very strict return policy. They should update their sizing or be more transparent. I was told my moccasins would stretch out half an inch and they hardly have. Painful, uncomfortable, waste of money. Not to mention 90% of their stuff is made in China.
Bad fit.
Bad fit.
No left or right and they feel sort of okay one way but the toes point outward/sideways and it looks like I have them on the wrong feet.
US Residents Get Ripped Off
Manitobah Mukluks has dishonest marketing practices. I was initially enticed by sale mukluks with free shipping. Tried calling several times to learn more about sizing and and quality. They don’t offer returns even if defective. Seriously, why would anyone spend $200 without some assurance. Also discovered they charge Americans more money for the same boots as they don’t adjust the price for currency difference.. The Canadian dollar is about 75¢ to the US dollar which means that the consumer is overcharged $50 for a $200 pair. Got run-around when credit card charge didn’t work. When questioned about it, they claimed the price difference is for shipping. So US Americans pay $50+ for “free shipping”. Just admit you charge for shipping and make the charge reasonable. I need to research, but suspect the overcharging violates US+Canada trade agreements.
Poor Quality
I have gone through MANY pairs of their slippers, some were purchased by me, others by friends/family. Most with real fur trim and one with faux fur. For how pricey these slippers are the quality is total crap. Each pair fell apart rather quickly. Upon reaching out to customer service with images of the rips and poor craftsmanship (took quite a while to respond) they wanted me to find the receipt and ship them my slippers for inspection. Seriously?
I try to support Canadian business bus this is just bad, pricey products with crap craftsmanship.
The current pair that I have is completely falling apart and I am not buying anything from them anymore
My mocassins developed a hole within 2…
My mocassins developed a hole within 2 days and I can see clearly it a hole in suede and not seam...which would be repairable. Sent photos but company wants to assess themselves and needs me to return. However they cannot offer a replacement in my size and instead of a refund, offered a code to shop. I do not want another lousy product. Of course I now see the tag indicating the boots were made in Viet Nam so this is misleading to people who they are supporting Canadian indigenous people. They arent at all They have merely private labelled a shoddily assembled product.
Wrong sizing, NO service
Seems like a quality product but the sizes were way off and I had no response from my 3 written contacts and couldn't get through by phone. Disappointed!!
Poor sizing and poor customer service.
Poor sizing and poor customer service.
I ordered the 9’s because I’m normally 8-8.5 and have slightly wide feet. The shoes don’t fit comfortably.
Even more disappointing was that the return policy is terrible. I ordered my shoes on 6/4/22. They didn’t ship until 6/21/22 (they did warn that they were moving warehouses), but then they only give you 30 days from the time of purchase to return items. I received them 23 days after purchasing. It took customer service a few days to email me back about a question I had for the returns and then the 30-day limit passed.
It’s unreasonable to have policies like this for online shopping when your sizes are not even close to standard and the company won’t hold itself to the strict timelines. No effort was made to help correct any of the issues.
Really disappointing. Avoid them.
Worst. Customer. Service. Ever.
Worst. Service. Ever.
Ever.
Jenny/Jennifer was totally unprofessional and uncaring, in fact, horrible, when I wrote in to advise that one of the 5 pairs I bought friends and family for Christmas was sub-par. (There was very little fur on the top!)
She wouldn’t allow me to exchange that pair. They hadn’t been so much as tried on, leave alone worn!!
Sorely disappointed, as they would have been a go-to gift for many more people. My husband and I are on our second pair each. Will NEVER buy another pair.

Honest review...made in Vietnam way to go thats about as honest as I can go but I expected as much thanks
Déçue. Made in vietnam!!
Déçue.. made in vietnam en premier lieu.. vraiment pas chaud et super glissante les bottes d’hiver
Two items ordered in December 2021 and not received as of February 2022
I ordered a pair of boots for women and one for children on December 18 2021. Never received anything as of yet, February 20 2022. It is possible the website had only the name of this company and it was a pirate site, because of the low prices, though.
Love my boots!
This is my second winter with my Manitoba mukluks.. the most comfortable, cozy, warm, waterproof boots that are true to size, I ordered size 8 and they fit perfectly. Definitely will order again and I tell everyone where I got them! And I live in PEI, Canada!
Dishonest Company
I hate being lied to. Bought a pair of moccasins and had to return them because the website stated footwear is true to size, WRONG!!! The footwear is NOT true to size. I wear size 8 1/2 and ordered a size 9 (they don't offer 1/2 sizes), my toes where tight inside the moccasins. I returned the first pair and ordered another pair (Size 11)~ That's 2 1/2 sizes larger than my foot size to get a proper fit. Oh, but it gets better, I returned the first pair back in early December 2021 (They sent me a pre-paid shipping label ("expedited" parcel shipping label), I STILL haven't gotten my refund for the first pair I returned. I emailed Manitobah Mukluks inquiring about when I could expect to receive my long overdue refund and guess what?? They just happened to have received them (the moccasins) yesterday (3 hours ago), they claim. Gee I wonder if I would have waited any longer to chase them down for my refund, if I would have been told the same lame ass excuse. Needless to say, now they tell me I will have to wait another 5 days for them to process my refund. Looks like some time in February before I see my $$ for a pair of ill fitting footwear I purchased back in October 2021. I'm wondering how many other customers have also had to wait a couple months to chase down their refund for ill fitting (Not true to size) footwear. Do yourself a big favour and don't bother giving a dishonest company your hard earned cash, read the reviews before buying the numbers don't lie.
1 STAR ONLY...very poor customer service
1 STAR ONLY...because they are beautiful boots but what an investment!
Had mine for less than a month then my dog chewed the fur off one. My own fault I know. Manitobah's repair department is closed due to COVID so I can't get them fixed even. Manitoba wasn't willing to help even though I was fully willing to pay for repairs. Just want to wear them! They wouldn't let me buy more fur to replace the damage or even let me buy one boot. I was only offered 10% off my next purchase which will never happen after this experience.
Very dissapppointed customer.
NOT made for the human foot
I have never had a good experience with Manitobah Mukluks slipper. sizes are never the right size....so don't know what size should fit a size eight is a size 7 or 6.5 ??????...so disappointing
The backs of the makluks are not high enough to stop slipping of your angle
They are not made for the human foot NOT worth the money you have to spend to get a shoe that does not fit properly. But what I I know about making mukluks Nothing but I do know that I don't like them at all.In my opinion they're more for show than comfort 😣
