The app's functionality is acceptable, not always reliable though. The bad thing is that it employs many deceptive UX patterns to lure customers to pay. As a UXUI designer myself, I can see so many "dark patterns". Once subscribed, it can leave you feeling manipulated and deceived. I asked to refund and unsubscribe as my circumstance changed, and I only used 100+ minutes just to test out with some youtube videos. After back n forth. They don't want to give back a single cent to me, even though they are doing further discount promotion now.

I have used many apps with a no-refund policy, but good customer service often makes exceptions and shows empathy. This company lacks empathy, prioritising immediate profit over long-term reputation and growth. Think twice or stay away!!! There are a lot of alternatives out there.

I bought the pro version with 50% discount for educators and students. This transcription tool is very useful for my research activities. I use it for french audio. it does a really good job, has a bit of understandable difficulty to write people's names or cities, but apart from that, if the audio is good it is pretty accurate. It is very fast, convenient and intuitive. It provides additionally a summary for every text generated. Another great feature is to be able to play the audio of paragraphs independently and to follow the transcribed text. That has enabled me to review and correct mistakes quite easily.
Another great point is that for every question I had, the notta support team responded very quickly.
Finally, last but not least the value you get for the price is very competitive. I benchmarked a few other platforms, and they didn't match in terms of pricing.

One is lured and lured, and I feel cheated. Notta seems very untrustworthy. Stay away from it.

If you need transcription for Arabic, don't choose notta.ai, verry very poooooooooooooor quality.
you can't edit in the site, very slow if you upload your file from your pc.
for English it's 50 percent.

I've been using Notta for two years. I'm honestly very impressed with how fast it can transcribe any type of audio or video.

I also use it often to transcribe YouTube videos. If you have a clear audio where people are speaking articulately, it's near flawless.

If the audio quality is not that great or there is a lot of background noise, the transcription will not be as accurate, but that's not Notta's fault; it's just the nature of automatic speech recognition technology at this time.

The AI Notes feature is also amazing as well. It will go through your transcript and give a detailed, accurate summary of what it was about.

This all in one feature of being able to transcribe an hour long audio or video even from YouTube, and give a full breakdown of it within just a few minutes is incredible.

Notta does this better than any other transcription app, and it's better than using ChatGPT to generate a summary of a transcript.

If you're working with low quality audio with a lot of background noise, consider paying a manual transcription service or doing it yourself. If you have clear, high quality audio to transcribe, you'd be saving a ton of time and money by using Notta.

Notta is an excellent platform. I've used it for several transcriptions and found it overall to provide accurate answers. What's more, it's fast, and there are tons of tools that you can use on the site to tweak and edit the transcription.

My only complaint is that the site doesn't automatically show up in English so I have to click the little 'English' button at the top of the page and switch it every time I want to log in. Still, even the translation from Japanese is excellent with no Google Translate type errors.

Overall it's a great platform that I'd recommend for anyone needing in-depth editing tools or just a quick transcription.

Offers a "120 minutes free" session, then wants the charge you when you want to download your file. What's point of offering a free layer if I won't be able to see or download my file?

or google translation: place it in front of the speakers and engage conversation mode. easy.

First of all - listen to the previous reviewers. They are accurate when they state the free trial is a scam. Only 5 mins available with the rest of the minutes being available once you provide them with your credit card details at which point they will bill you for the entire year and you cannot claim a refund.
They advertise it as being capable of medical transcription - outright lie! Avoid, avoid avoid at all costs.
It cannot transcribe medical terminology and it was a joke when I tried - unfit for purpose.
Wasted $90.00 for a an app that is useless.

The response from the company is self explanatory. They are working to improve meaning that the software at its current level is deficient.
Does not change my review; enhances it on the contrary!

Avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid unless you wish to donate 90.00 to someone elses pleasure.

In my experience this is a complete rip-off and Notta has robbed me of £80+. Moreover they refuse to answer emails. AVOID

There was a claim for a 3 day free trial, but I was instantly charged. After I send them a message they said I opted for a year, even though it clearly stated a 3 day trial at the time of purchase. The service itself does not work very well in Dutch, not useable at least, so I am scammed into this horrible service that does not want to help me refund it even though that is what was promised to me. Now talking with my bank to solve this issue. Try to avoid this service at all costs.

tried transcript from Chinese and it was not usable

It recorded every word of a teams meeting that I had, and then used AI to turn it into a meeting summary. This product is great, I can not understand why people are unhappy with it, perhaps they improved, as for me this is a great product.

Will persistently try to charge you even after you cancel your subscription. Despite messages to their support they continued to the point where my bank cancelled my card.

Lie about the trial, and charge it without any reminder of the end of trial. 3 days is too short and they are scaming people.

Uploaded file and a few minutes later I received an email back. No content in the email. Just a message to click and view through the browser. Which then caused the computer to 'be odd'. I quickly d/c the web, ran virus/security check and rebooted. Not as advertised. And probably dangerous.

It said I was getting a three-day trial if I picked up the annual plan, so I did. The first file it failed to transcribe with any accuracy between the two speakers. I went to cancel only to find that my card was already charged for the FULL YEAR. There's no option to refund.

It's a complete scam.

It transcribed the file, and then gave me a link to a chinese notta website with wrong transcription.

Wouldn't be suprised if all the files go to CCP in china
