We called old republic, April 1st and put in a service request. They had a company contact us on April 6th. I actually came out on April 6th. He informed them that are ice maker. It was bad and had rotted the back of the refrigerator and the refrigerator need to be replaced. we've contacted old republic twice since then. And they still have not given us an answer. If they're going to replace our refrigerator it is now April 15th, and we get to clean water up every day. This is unacceptable. Since we have been a loyal customer of old republic for 12 years. And have only called on twice. For service request, this be in the second one.
we pay for the gold plan? And it is supposed to cover appliances. Very very very disappointed old republic!!!

The technician came by diagnose. The problem explain it to my wife and fixed it then plus that plus courteous straightforward. Inpatient. From the time of the call to when the technicians called to schedule and get more background and details before comming out.Everything went seamless.

Its been over a month and I still haven’t been able to get an appointment with your contractor. Can’t you assign someone else?

The online diagnostic process was informative and gave great reminders. The process to initiate the service call was quick and seamless.

I bought the home on the strength of the home warranty. It took a lot of stress off the purchase and what can go wrong.
1. The washer was not working properly and it took four days for the repairman to come out. This was too long for a family of five. After the repairmen left ( he did a good job) I received a call from Old Republic that the repair was approved and that the tech would be out the following day? I explained that the repairmen had already repaired the washer and left. The Old Republic rep was surprised?
2. The water circulator was defective and needed repair right away. Cold showers is not what I hoped for. It took eight days to get the problem fixed. Delays in approval and getting the right part. After the circulator was repaired, the position of the circulator was not as it was before.
Suggestions:
Repairs should be denied or approved within one hour after notice. Once approved that repair should be done in a more timely manner. Waiting on the phone was far too long.
Home Service Warranties are a good idea but, not effective.
The people were nice and did their best to handle the problems. The policies in place need more attention.

Tech responsive and on time. Found problem and solved issue quickly.

ORP made the process simple and straightforward

A plumber came out and did not repair the problem was still charged the deductible had to have the plumber come back out and Old Republic doesn't cover the actual problem so I paid more than I would had I just called a plumber and left Old Republic out of the equation not happy with the fact they will let your house get water damage and deny claims to prevent the damage

The plumber showed up didn’t do anything. He suggested a few options and all incurred addition heffy cost. I got a local rooter with a 75 feet snake to clear the clog instead.

Not the best right now hopefully it improves over time
